Fleshformer- Doesn't quite seem on the same level as the others, the removal is incredibly nice(should always be able to find a bear to kill in this format) but the fact that the original body is just a Scathe Zombies and the boosted body is only a 4/4 with fear is pretty disappointing. Especially since with 3 shards with black in them and new 5 color creatures the chances of an opponent having a black creature is pretty high, not to mention that all the white and blue esper creatures are artifacts and as such can also block him. Also annoying is how weak he is if there's no other creatures in play(he has to -2/-2 himself and only becomes a 2/2 fear), or if you control the only creatures(you have to -2/-2 one of your own creatures). All in all playable but only for the removal aspect, so it's completely unplayable if you aren't able to assemble all 5 colors with relative ease.

If my opponent has no creatures in play then I will just attack for 2 and not waste 5 mana. The opponent has to either use a removal spell on this guy, or find a 6/6 to trade with it.

Well, being that this card leaves out many aspects of the other two, maybe this is an unrelated card and the red/white ones are supposed to be mirrors (although more loosely than White/Black Knight)
This guy's more controlling than the other two, which is actually more along the lines of what 5c wants in a bomb. The white one's better for 5c, just because 5 free life along with a clock is going to be better than killing random dude, but it's more exciting than the dragon. 5c wants answers, and he's a really solid one.

I kind of like this guy. He is better in limited then the red one and on par with the white one.
Power C+. Coolness A- Flesh former is a cool name.

This one doesn't make sense to me... why would Fleshformer not have first strike, not be a knight AND not change into another creature type?
I guess I can understand the not having first strike because it has fear, but that's only after it gets pumped...

Because its probably not a cycle? The white and red are probably mirrors, like Banefire and Martial Coup.

Ick. This is significantly worse than the others in the cycle.
Why, Wizards? Why?
Really? You think it's "significantly worse"? This is recurrable removal. Sure, the other two give you bigger swings in life totals, but this one controls the board, which is arguable better. (I like Paragon the best, but this is definitely not "significantly" worse than the other two)

This cycle does nothing for me...particularly this card. The others can beat for quite a bit of damage, whereas by the time you get Domain, you have to worry about creatures larger than 2/2...and it's a bit expensive for a combat trick

Umm doesn't legacy weapon cost 7 mana and have nothing else going on if you don't have WUGBR mana.
I mean man its not like Legacy weapon costs 3 to play and has the effect of being a 2/2 artifact beater without the ability.
Now if this card was...
Wannabe Legacy Weapon 7
Artifact
If Wannabe Legacy Weapon would be put into a graveyard from anywhere, reveal Wannabe Legacy Weapon and shuffle it into its owner's library instead. WUBRG: Target creature gets -4/-4 until end of turn.
Then sure I would agree with you completely but guess what this card is not that.

I didn't think we were talking about what the creature started out to be...it seemed like everyone was hyping the ability. Sure, in Limited this guy isn't half-bad if you can reliably get all 5 colors (if not, you just swing with your 2/2), but in a deck with Etherium Sculpters or Sharuum, Legacy Weapon makes this look silly....and I know I'm comparing an uncommon dork to a rare, Legendary Artifact, I was just pointing out the stark contrasts between what that activation cost gets you in Standard.
Now we give people a reason to pick up off color mana fixing in limited. Great, now you almost have to go 5 color unless you think scathe zombies is good.

But if they have a Deft Duelist...
I hope I can hit my opponent for 2 fear for the win someday.
This is also the only self-pump ability in history that's counterable with a Tortoise Formation.
We're living in exciting times.
It's been established that this is a joke.
The creature will gain fear after WUBRG.

well i would hope that for 8 mana, including one of each color, you could take down a doran....

Weird. Was it really so good that they had to limit it in this way above and beyond not having first strike like the others in the cycle?
