Asha's Favor- limited playable aura, turns any of naya's 5/3 fatties into a major pain to deal with. Draft not brilliant but a decent mid pick in the right deck.
Corrupted Roots- This cycle is incredibly lopsided, white gets something which is almost maindeck playable but red got something which is probably not even limited maindeckable(decent sideboard though) and now black gets this which thanks to the high number of non-basics around is totally unplayable anywhere. With the power of Celestrial Purge, I would have thought that a BB cost sorcery along the lines of Sinkhole but plains/forest restricted would have been possible.
I see no problem with it being lopsided. Compare this to Coldsnap's hate cycle. White had the worst of the bunch while Red and Black both had playables. For those who aren't in the know I'm talking about Deathmark, and Cryoclasm.
This is actually the first thing I thought when I saw it. Should be pretty decent in Limited. The black hoser is sorely lacking. They probably avoided a Sinkhole variant out of concern that it would be too close to Cryoclasm, and they probably didn't want to do a Deathmark variant, but there had to be something they could have done to push this.
Guys... Do yourself a favor, and not draft an aura, especially one that doesn't boost damage.
There is so much removal in the format, that it might as well say "Give your opponent CA."
Corrupted Roots is hardly playable, given the amount of mana you end up getting, but if you can anage to put together a burn-based draft deck (Blightning, Resounding Thunder, etc), it might be worth it as a SB card to deal 2-6 damage.
Both auras are awful in limited. Asha's Favor doesn't put you ahead in the race and makes you so paranoid about pump that you may not even block when they attack--meaning it's not pulling its weight. I hope I don't have to explain why the black aura is awful. I can't even think of a good place to put these in janky constructed deck, since they'll use their enchanted plains/forest early when needed, then just treat it like a dead land late (maybe after losing 4-6 life at most or more if they have life gain and your clock sucks).
Summary: Both auras are awful unless you have no concept of card advantage & probability :/

My Sales Post!
the black psychic venom is kind of lame too. Both cards have good names though.
I know. Neither of these are playable in competitive.

serra's embrace was a better card
the roots... if i turn the land into a forest or plains with an until eot effect like reef shaman...
if i successfully stick it on, does it stay on forever on the land and becomes a psy venom?
No, it will fall off because it can only enchant a forest or plains.
