I think you guys are overrating Soul's Majesty by a good bit. This is way, WAY worse than harmonize: it's more expensive, you need to have a fairly beefy creature in order to get more value, you leave yourself open for 2-for-1, and worst of all, you need to have a creature to play this card at all. Drawing this off the top when trying to recover from a wrath or something would be terrible. Has anyone considered how badly this card fails against cryptic?

Thanks mchief111 for the avvy.
Ugh I didn't see the draw card was rare. What are they thinking ? This should be uncommon at most.
Yeah, this was a terrible waste of a rare slot on some crap card draw.
I wish R&D would stop messing around and just give green some playable card draw.
the problem with souls majesty is that you play it, they respond with path to exile, and its a wasted 5 mana sorcery, the only time its really worth playing is like on a troll with a warhammer on it or some other pump

Yeah, that's exactly what green needs is to have lots of playable card draw. :/ I mean it doesn't already get the best creatures...
And Harmonize and Greater Good weren't playable? There's been enough green card draw considering what the color is supposed to do. And any of green's card draw is supposed to be on creatures which this is. The only problem is rarity I think. Uncommon would have done fine.
i think this card is Freakin' awesome just imagine zoo with this even on the draw u flex "Nutz" any mana drawing the extra card u can pitch and turning up the gas on tempo and it still taps for mana easily a 3 of most likely a 4 of
Drawing this off the top when trying to recover from a wrath or something would be terrible.
Except if you play treetop village like any good green player.
Seriously. This is not THAT hard to resolve. Um... play a dork. Cast it. That's it. If you can't resolve a single creature cardfollowed by a sorcery in green then you are problebly losing anyway. This card is slightly risky, but the possible rewards far outway the risks. Drawing 5 or more card is very good, almost garrenteeing a win if you have any kind of board presence, witch this card kind of stipulates in order to cast it in the first place.
This is not a good draw spell for a blue control deck, but you already knew that. If you using it to draw into kill spells to eliminate their creature hoard before dieying to it, you desearve to lose. It's made for The Rock, where you are trying to play a big dork anyway. I play that deck and know from
experiance that if you get any card advantage at all after your huge guy, you almost always win. I think between 3 and 7 cards qualifies for "any card advantage at all".
I am petitioning for the removal of mythic rarity. Sig this to join the cause!

Fair enough, but then you just cast a really bad harmonize. Activating treeptop + this = 7 mana for 3 cards? That sounds like some utter fail to me.
They should just reprint harmonize in tenth. It was perfectly fair, just about the kind of card draw green deserves.

Harmonize was great, but color-shifted and not to be reprinted under current policy. Greater good was also great, I wish they would reprint it.
Green currently has no good card draw, even though its secondary in green.
Compare to flash being "secondary" in blue or flying being "secondary" in black/red and it comes up pretty lacking.
And no, it doesn't get the best creatures, plenty of colors share awesome creatures like figure of destiny, mistbind clique, ashenmoore gouger, demigod of revenge, spellstutter sprite, etc...
Green is nowhere remotely close to having a monopoly on the best creatures in standard.
Green gets some great creatures like cloudthresher and chameleon colossus, but its no excuse to short green on playable non-creature cards.
The Leviathan would work really well with the new transmuter
True. The only question is, How fast can that Transmuter be put out, and triggered, and not be countered. By Turn 4, there will be a shot for it to be countered.

I agree that it would be awsome to reprint harmonize but it's not gonna happen in the forseeable future.
And a really bad harmonizes is better then zero harmonizes

Umm transmuter has potential to come out turn three in this set FYC. and honestly i rather wait till some one attempts to kill transmuter to bounce transmuter herself back into my hand for leviathan. =] Also, transmuter is an Esper card. why would a good Esperite drop their best synergy yet w/o a security plan? Countersquall me please!
And about Soul's Majesty, in a good green deck, worst case scenario, it's a draw for three. best case = a hell of a lot more than harmonize.
lol, Devour and Majesty 'For The Laugh' anyone? >.<

~Intelligence is Bliss; Ignorance is Denial.
Skill is an ability that relates more so to the type of deck that's built and how said player pilots it. It also relates to the ability to assess the board and use the cards available to you in the most optimal way relative to each situation.
When a deck is filled with above par cards and every play is solid, there comes a diminishing need to "think" for the lack of wanting to use a better word.

I think masked admirers are solid card draw, but I can see your point, this card is pretty solid, it would be a lot of fun to flash a cloudthresher in during an oponents end turn step and the cast this on it. I think after lorywn rotates out there may be some room for some competive decks that have a little more beef.
Harmonize was great, but color-shifted and not to be reprinted under current policy. Greater good was also great, I wish they would reprint it.
I don't think they're that strict on their "policy", since Prodigal Sorcerer was color-shifted into Prodigal Pyromancer and reprinted in Xth Ed. Still, I don't think WOTC would be reprinting Harmonize in core editions anytime soon.

Ah but that is a different kind of color shift. Prodigal Sorcerer was color-shifted into the "correct" color for it's effect. Since by the current color pie, Blue doesn't do direct damage Red does. So it is safe to be re-printed.
Green is the color of resource-generating, cards are resources, so why not?
I think now WotC is drawing the line between green card-drawing with blue card-drawing by making green's card draw more "involved" by making them related to having a creature in play, and altering your card draw depending on the power of the creature or number of creatures in play. definitely green-flavored concept of establishing commune with nature/animals/plants.
for the leviathan, why bother with the transmuter when you can just discard the thing to rotting rats, then use mannequin to reanimate it, and because of shroud, the leviathan escapes the 'sac when targeted' clause.
