I like them both, and I actually think I'll be playing them both. My girlfriend, roomate and I have all been working on some dumb multi-player idea on how to abuse Progentitus. Of course, the logical answer was Concerted Effort. Now, because I have to be a bad player and worse deck builder, I have to add fun things to the deck from all five colors of the game. On the list of fun things are Krosan Cloudscrapper and Inkwell Leviathan, and possibly Mossbridge Troll for the sake of hilarity.
But, I can use this spell ((As long as the Hydra isn't in play)) to draw into support for myself. They both look like fun, if not competetively, then deffinately slinging cardstock with friends around a kitchen table.
I am petitioning for the removal of mythic rarity. Sig this to join the cause!

Soul's Majesty is going to win a helluva lot of limited games. Doesn't say whether it's uncommon or rare (it reads like an uncommon), but in a lot of decks this will fairly consistently draw 5 cards, which is simply going to be game over 90% of the time.
Leviathan is big. That's pretty much all there is to say there.

As useless as it is in a constructed format, I do agree with this. That is some serious draw power, more so in a format defined by "Power 5 or greater.."
I like the Leviathan. Its tough to get out, but once its out, its tough to deal with. I know it'll be fun in casual if nothing else.
Definitely nice to not have a drawback.
As for Soul's Majesty, its good, and in a Jund deck, I'm sure it would net more than Tidings.
What I find so odd about the Leviathan is that's it's an artifact. Now I know that Esper is the plane of Artifice, but that also implies that someone engineered the Leviathan with Etherium (or what-ever-it-is).
This isn't Mirrordin, and so I don't expect massive things like Leviathans to be artifacts because everything else is. I'll accept that random people, homunculus, and engineered animals are fitted with Etherium, but not massive creatures under the sea that are supposed to be rumored.
And this isn't Ravnica. Some crazy Izzit (Izzet?) scientist didn't look at the leviathan and think, boy, you know what could make this massive beast thing better? More artiface!
Artifact on the Leviathan to me is clunky, and is out of the scope of the plane. What, did it eat a bunch of modified fish and algae and grow artifact parts? Sounds too Mirrordin to me.
Simic Sky Swallower won games single-handedly during its type II run, and in extended for UG Tron, aswell. In my opinion, Inkwell Leviathan is pretty much on par with Simic Sky Swallower, as long as Wren's Run Vanquisher stays unplayed to the extent that it currently is in standard.
It -will- see constructed play. Either as a finisher, or a reanimator target.

Perhaps the Leviathan was crafted by a master artificer in the early days, shortly after the Sundering, as an experiment. It escaped, and because he didn't want anyone to know that he'd just added a huge monster to their perfect oceans, he destroyed his research. That's why it's become just a legend now.
As for said Leviathan (or as I'm going to call him, Squishee Machine), I think it's exactly what a blue superfatty should be: unstoppable and unanswerable, but expensive as all hell. He's a nice addition to Leviathan tribal, probably replacing the original. Plus he makes a nice Grozoth target.
Soul's Majesty is exactly what green card draw should be. It's nice to see something so elegantly designed to fit both flavor and function. Whether it's useful outside of limited is anyone's guess, but I think it should be at least tested. Drawing seven was good, last I heard.

Except, like, the esper shard is entirely etherium at this point. The whole thing. Because they've been modifying things for like millenia. So, you know, they modified everything at this point.

Are you kidding? If some esper artificer saw a leviathan, he'd go nuts infusing it with etherium, to make the most insanely powerful thing anyone on the plane had ever seen (short of Tezzeret, of course.) The flavor behind this card is great, imo.
Inkwell Leviathan is awesome in both a timmy and "ha ha, hidden design theme way"
The Islandwalk is pretty good to have, because this is a multicolor block with domain, which means that your opponenent will have an island in play more often then not.
I haven't checked to see if the basic land changers in shards and conflux only do lands you control, but even so. Whoa.
It's kinda interesting how the last two blocks have had a basic land theme, even if they are in different directions, (except for the eventide hedge-mages, SHA-EVE cards that cared about basic lands wanted you to have tons of the same type of lands)
Islandhome would kinda make the card terrible.

Skill is an ability that relates more so to the type of deck that's built and how said player pilots it. It also relates to the ability to assess the board and use the cards available to you in the most optimal way relative to each situation.
When a deck is filled with above par cards and every play is solid, there comes a diminishing need to "think" for the lack of wanting to use a better word.
I'd be quite happy to draw 3 cards off my Sprouting Thrinax when I'm behind
What if your only creature is a BoP?
And it seems weird to get the inkwell after they gave us the shellback in shadowmoor... pretty similiar, but... better? And is shroud a leviathan staple now?
well i would imagine it being hard to Blaze a creature that only leaves it's deepsea environment to protect it's master and/or attack his/her enemies. =]

except trample and not needing any sort of requirement to be big is cool
Inkwell Leviathan could be tough to get out in limited even with mana acceleration. Kudos to the evil genius who gets this to hit the field. In standard, I haven't made up my mind about it yet.
As for Soul's Majesty, I LOVE IT! Green usually gets big creatures out rather quickly. There shouldn't be a problem to draw 5-7 cards with this. High pick in limited and I'm sure it will see play in standard in some ramp deck.
Leviathan <3 Master Transmuter. Who needs reanimation when you can land him on turn 5, eh? He's a huge blue beatstick at a high normal cost, which I figured beh originally, but now that I saw Transmuter, at least now I know that the big guy as an on-color friend. A 2-of finisher in Esper Aggro maybe.
