THIS HUMAN IS ONE OF THE DOMAIN CARDS, AND UNLIKE ANY OF THE OLD DOMAIN CARDS IT IS A CREATURE WITH THE DOMAIN ABILITY BEING A CHARACTERISTIC SETTING ONE. IT HAS POWER EQUAL TO ITS TOUGHNESS. THEY ARE BOTH EQUAL TO THE NUMBER OF BASIC LAND TYPES YOUR LANDS HAVE. AS IT IS A CREATURE, THIS WARRIOR CAN HELP PROVIDE THE BEEF FOR YOUR DOMAIN DECK. ONCE YOU COMPLETE OR NEARLY COMPLETE YOUR DOMAIN, IT IS A QUITE EFFICIENT EFFICIENT BEATER INDEED. DEPENDING ON THE SPEED IN WHICH A DOMAIN CAN BE COMPLETED IN CONSTRUCTED, THIS COMMON MIGHT EVEN BE VIABLE IN SUCH FORMATS. BUT IT IS IN DRAFT THAT IT WILL LIKELY TRULY SHINE, AS AN EASILY SPLASHABLE BEATER WHICH CAN GROW DECENTLY LARGE. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT IT DOES NOT HAVE ANY ABILITIES OTHER THAN THE DOMAIN ABILITY.
5/5 for 3 is pretty powerful. I don't know if it goes in extended Zoo, because their beaters are just so efficient right now, and their other creatures do things other than being dumb animals. On the other hand, if a type 2 deck comes up with Domain, he could be great. It really does seem like they have to reprint shock lands if they want to really push domain, I mean just getting domain with 5 basics seems too inconsistent to be an effective deck when there are lots of really tight decks like Tokens and Faeries running around.
The issue I'm having with clue #7 is VVVX as that means it's not a simple cipher. I am also wondering if it's either some sort of programming language like the other clue or if it's a cipher but particular letters need to be removed. Hmm I tried removing all the v's and still nothing presents itself.
Edit: The problem with removing all the v's and x's is you end up with 4 different single letter words. Perhaps there's something additional involved?
I agree. It could be a Vigenère cypher, but I've tried all the keywords I can think of: Conflux, Zesty, Alara... and I haven't hit it yet. Using Conflux makes the first four letters "this", but beyond that I've got nothing.

If you apply the Vigenère cypher correctly, Conflux works as the keyword.

Team NE Magic, retaking the Midwest one tournament at a time.
is this P2P1-able in ALA-CON-CON? if you got a couple panoramas (who knew there'd be cards that make me want to draw those instead of taplands) this guy gets pretty big pretty quick. also, this is what they were hoping tarmogoyf would be when they printed him.
I don't mean to sound like an ass, but I'm pretty proud that I found this. If you knew me, this would be a major achievement.
On the card the first thing I thought was Woolly Thoctar, like the_fish said, it's just easier to play the Thoctar. Although it would be a nice addition to standard. It's probably a common, too
Take your monoblack deck, then set aside 14 swamps. Add 4 Creeping Tar Pits, 4 Darkslick Shores, 4 Drowned Catacombs, and 2 Jwar isle Refuge and add 4 Jace, the Mindsculptors. Your monoblack deck is instantly better. Better yet, drop those refuges, throw in some islands and some mana leaks, and lo and behold, you're now playing a real deck. Congratulations. Welcome to the world of competitive M:TG.

Yes, your abilities (and those of the rest of the puzzle-crackers) are a true spectacle to look at! Amazing work! I don't understand how some people don't like it!
He's essentially an overcosted Wild Nacatl until you hit 4 land types...In constructed, you'd have to be consistently hitting domain fast to even consider it.
Personally, I think this is okay in limited, better in constructed (Extended specifically).
It can be a 4/4 on turn 2 with Shock Lands (dropping it with Birds/Mox). I don't think it'll be played in Type 2 because there's no way to play domain aggro with basic lands... it just doesn't work.
In limited, it's usually gonna be a 3/3 which is fine for 2G. If you get your splash, then 4/4 is a beating. It'll rarely be a 5/5 in limited. A lot of time a splash is off of a tri-land or Obelisk and you don't risk your mana base by adding a single basic land. I'd actually be surprised if you ever saw this thing as a 5/5 in anything but Sealed.
I've certainly made up my mind. This guy is a house, I'm building T2 domain.
Soon enough he's going to run of languages and ciphers. I don't like these sort of puzzles, so I'm awaiting that day.

With all, put the same thing except with / in front of what type of tags they are (like [/card]) to close them.

Matca Rioters 2G
Creature - Human Warrior (C) Domain - Matca Rioters' power and toughness are each equal to the number of basic land types among lands you control.

this is actually not a bad card. dual land decks can use this guy. even a three color deck running all 5 land types will make him a 5/5 for 3 lands, or if you wanna run barry's, 6/6

Power and toughness equal to the # of basic land types you control.
Good job!

Correct. The "7" was the length of the password. The "2" was for "BF". the common acronym of the language.

I was thinking that a 3 mana 5/5 could see play in extended zoo, but it is expensive for the deck.
Draft it on Cubetutor!

Really? Because that is exactly what I did.

Domain Zoo will be an archetype, but it remains to be seen how good it will be.

I have some EDH cards and rare Magic basic lands (APAC, EURO, ARENA, etc) so message me if you're looking.
