    Well that's kinda dissapointing. Oh well, as mentioned below, too easily dealt with... even in limited.

    Dumb card for such an awesome name. Dreadwing from Warcraft 2 is ASHAMED.

    Probably playable in limited flying+pump is decent but definitely not high pick quality.

    As Thallid said, the one toughness is the downfall of this otherwise playable creature as there are lots of ways to deal with this and as in the case of stinger it would lead to some card disadvantage.

    Bah, once again I got my hopes up... and once again wizards beat it down for me... I mean, this set has got some kick-ass names, but the cards... They barely make for decent limited material. And the ones that are actually good seems to be uncommon and require 3 colors in some way...

    I guess with heavy mana investment, i guess it attacks for 4 at turn 3...

    Awwwww, that makes me sad now because that is where the enemy color orb hits are coming from, activated abilities, i was hoping for a new GU and UR card.

    I don't know why everybody is complaining about this guy. I've drafted plenty of 1/1 creatures for 1X before. A sudden 4/1 flying blocker? You could consider this guy a removal spell. Who's gonna bother to take him out when I've got REAL 1/1 threats on the board? Oh - did I mention he might be the occasional 8/1 blocker/beatdown guy? If your opponent doesn't take him seriously, he will be an interesting threat. If you bother to take him out, what badness will follow that you should have saved that SHOCK for?

    Complain all you want, but I think he's going to be a bit more fun in draft than initial response indicates.

    I actually want to like him. I really, really do.
    I guess against... mono green... in draft, he's really good.
    He's certainly playable... maybe...

    Meh, decent mid-late pick playable creature. It's vulnerable but it's also cheap and if it does get through it can be very good. Bant decks won't like it since all their removal is high end(no small cheap 1 damage or -1/-1 stuff), so using an oblivion ring etc. on this seems sort of bad.

    I don't like cards that suck unless you play the activated ability, especially when the ability costs a lot and requires you play an ADDITIONAL two colours. Uncommon, wow. This set is just full of surprises. Slant

    I like it. Sure, he sucks if he gets killed by a Blister Beetle, but the same can be said for Wild Nacatl, Vithian Stinger, Blood Cultist, Tidehollow Strix and I'm sure there's more very good cards with 1 toughness (notice 3 of those also fit in Grixis decks).
    And once you do get this online, he's a great beater. I just don't see this as a 2-drop but maybe a 4 or 5-drop that starts beating for 4 (four!) in the air. Which is rather good in limited.
    If everyone else wants to pass this early I don't mind if I'm solidly in Grixis.

    Agree with that. It should be a common. The only plus side is : you could pump it multiple times. What a waste of an uncommon slot...

    Horrible. If it was costed at B, it would have been fine, but at 1B it's just a waste of cardboard. Sure, late game, you could pump a lot of resources into it to push 4 or even 7 damage through, but that only works if your opponent has no flying creatures and no removal. Having it killed by a -1/-1 effect after pumping 6 mana into it would really be infuriating. At uncommon, it not only wastes a filler spot, but also the potential of some good uncommon worthy design. Pass.

    Would it have been that hard to make it always have flying?

    Answer: yes, as then there would be no blue part to its ability. Alara showed wizards cares so much about colour justification :p

    But seriously, a Bog Imp with off colour pump would feel a lot more like uncommon. Without the pump this is worse than Squire. Will still see limited play, just you'd feel dirty for using it.
