Lol, it's kinda funny that this card is spoiled cos' I was having a janky thought about some kinda Bringer Control in Extended just awhile ago. Specifically, Bringer of the White Dawn + Mindslaver. WEEE!!!
I'd prefer it to be something similar to Pentad Prism though, so that it might enable 5c goodness on Turn 3. But this provides good redundancy for any aspiring Domain players.
Finally, a card that allows me to draft any color, now I can draft all the cards with the prettiest pictures!
In all seriousness, this card is god-awful. It makes Spell Snip look like the next Cryptic Command.
I've had a Titanic Ultimatum countered with a Spell Snip in draft. Things like this can find all sorts of neat applications in formats with less pressure.
Also, prettydraft.dec is a viable strategy with Alara's art quality.
it's basically Elsewhere Flask but turning 5 into WUBRG instead of just into 1 color. Limited it's not terrible, the cantrip is always nice and if your splashing anything this can help, plus it works well with the dragonsoul knight, fusion elemental and any other 5 color using cards in the set.
Casual 5-color decks will probably like this. Someone who wants to play the Conflux they opened in sealed will undoubtedly like this. Constructed players, as has already been shown, will complain endlessly about it. I wouldn't mind a couple for my Legacy Weapon deck.
In limited this is playable and I can find a few situations where it would help out a lot. It may not make every single limited deck list but it will make some.
Especially if you run 4+ colors since the cantrip makes it basically "cycle".
Just for the cantrip, maybe 5cc can run 1 or 2 of these...it's a giant manamorphose

Kaleidostone -
Artifact (C)
When Kaleidostone comes into play, draw a card. ,T, Sacrifice Kaleidostone: Add WUBRG to your mana pool.
If that's accurate, I think it's okay at what it does, but what it does isn't all that universally useful. It's a bit like a harder to use Chromatic Star or something. Meh.
It's a cantrip, and colorless cantrips are always useful in limited. late game it's an effect that lets you play your 3-color bomb if you have mana issues. Fine for a common.

Kaleidostone: B. Nice mana fixing, cheap, but turn 5 is fairly late for mana fixing.
The card's purpose isn't to mana fix early game, otherwise it wouldn't be fixing for all 5. It's to fix for the bigger, splashy spells, or even the 2CDE guys.
Turn 2: Kaleidostone, draw a card
Turn 3: Dragonsoul Knight
Turn 5: Pop Kaleidostone, pump dragonsoul knight, swing for a lot.
That's the idea of this card. Not to fix in the first few turns. The fact that it replaces itself makes it a worthwhile turn 2 play.

You already could. I've drafted a few 5c decks in Alara.
