Just a couple thoughts on the "less-discussed" card names.
Armillary Sphere: I'm not amused by this name. Mainly because we just got a similar card name. An astrolabe is basically just a 2D version of an armillary sphere. I hope they change up the ability a little more than just some new "draw a card" version on an artifact.
Charnelhoard Wurm: Perhaps some sort of skeletal wurm. Maybe devour or unearth. A 'charnel' is a storage spot for bones.
Sacellum Archers: Maybe some white archers with defender and exalted. Clearly a bant creature I believe.
Quenchable Fire: Nothing really to note, I just find the name amusing. The burn equivalent of Mana Leak? (lulz)
Quenchable Fire actually sounds like a neat new way to do burn, as you've said, like Mana Leak or Force Spike.
Quenchable FireR
Instant
Quenchable Fire deals 3 damage to target creature or player unless that player or that creature's controller pays 1.
It could also be a land-destruction spell...
Quenchable FireRR
Sorcery
Destroy target land unless its controller pays 2.
A good way to bring the ever-present lightning bolt variant into the block, or a good card to lower the curve and up the tempo of LD (possibly making it rather competitive).

Of course, if there is some overlap between Bant and Naya (as the art from the back-of-token promo suggests), it could very well be possible.

I would say since Bolas is a huuge character, they are going to do something new with him to surprise people besides making him particularly strong. 1 of which is his 3 color cost.
2RUB
+1: Target creature doesn't untap for the rest of the game.
-X: Target player Discards X cards.
-10: Destroy 5 target permanents.
-15: Target player loses the game. or to add some red and make the planeswalker seem more powerful: Deal 60 damage to target player.

Are you f**king high? That first ability is retardedly broken. As a nitpick, the -10 ability would not be able to destory enchantments, and probably not planeswalkers.

I meant doesn't untap during your untap step, which isn't terribly broken, it won't stop activated abilities, they can untap it by other means... and killing and removing even a high amount of creatures can only cost 1-3 mana.
I run a planeswalker deck and by turn 4 with chandra for instance i can deal over 20 damage to someone and all their creatures anyways. Planeswalkers ni other decks are usually killed extremely fast so some need abilities that alst after they are gone.
Uhhh gheta, I'm with Dr. Jeebus on this one. That first ability is absolutely broken. I resolved an Ajani Vengeant against thresh the other day and it stopped goyfs dead in their tracks allowing me to stabalize and eventually WIN the game.
Your version costs 1 mana more and stops the creature FOREVER even after Bolas is killed. BROOOOOOOOOKEN.
Doesn't stop it forever, keeps it tapped, causing it's nontap activated abilities to continue. ok ok though maybe a little... i mean we can say "as long as Bolas remains in play" but face it, planeswalkers don't remain in play lol
Or how about "Target creature can't attack for the rest of the game." So tap abilities still work, making it non useless - it could still block too.

...Do you not understand what you made? You made recurring removal that once in play causes a majority of tier 1 decks to lose their threats 1 by 1 if this thing resolves? That is broken sir. I'm sorry.

Unless you are playing control and you make it so their creatures can't ever attack you then your Planeswalker will stay in play forever...
I've noticed that the names of cards have a lot in common with what they actually do. For example: confiscate means to take something. That is exactly what the card does.
There is a card called Conflux. Here is what conflux means:
1.a flowing together of two or more streams, rivers, or the like: the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi rivers. 2.their place of junction: St. Louis is at the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi rivers. 3.a body of water formed by the flowing together of two or more streams, rivers, or the like.4.a coming together of people or things; concourse.5.a crowd or throng; assemblage.
perhaps this will lead to some ideas as to what the card actually does.

Malfegor IS a mythic rare. So thats 1 out of 10 solved. =)
And its confirmed...well, more or less =D
Malfegor will have a basic land rarity the day when Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker will not obviously be a Mythic Rare beyond the need of official confirmation.
RUB has a history of having trouble destroying enchantments.
The typical color pie:
Red deals damage and kills lands and artifacts
Blue controls the stack but has difficulty with things that actually hit play
Black destroys creatures can cause discard, but has difficulty with non-creature permanents (although can usually destroy land pretty easily).
So, given the colors of Nicol Bolas, he should be limited like his colors.

Oh Somebody finally noticed...well, lets have a bet shall we? =D

I get it now. Dr. Jeebus meant 'SHould' (as in "wouldn't make sense/be flavorful), not 'Would' (as in "it's impossible to do so, the way it's worded"). It all makes sense now.
Oh Somebody finally noticed...well, lets have a bet shall we? =D
Heck, why not? We all know already that both cards will be Mythic Rares, anyway. I just meant that Nicol Bolas has been there like forever and Malfegor is just a newbie compared to him (assuming he's not some undercover old character).
You know, I'm not sure if anyone has thought of this, and looking through 40 pages of posts to find out isn't my idea of a good time, but what if that list was leaked on purpose?
Call me crazy, but that seems like something that WotC would actually do. Build up all this hype over the supposed Conflux card list, and then when they put up the orb and the spoiler cards, leave everyone scratching their heads.
Maybe that is giving them a little too much credit, but if I wanted to shock everyone that is something I would do.
I'm not sure if this has been discussed yet or not but it does seem quite likely to me.
I think it's safe to say that the list of names we have are near-final card names, with a few exceptions that were eventually changed. Like, Yoke of the Damned was probably changed.

No, only because this leak included a card list of Alara (Proven by google cache and pointed out on this thread many times over), days before we knew all the card names and had a full spoiler.

These are the final card names. The Alara card names are final too. There is no reason these names would be any different.

As far as I know, they never (I think it's N.E.V.E.R.) discuss leaked/spoiled cards/names (what better way to keep the unwitting from gaining curiosity than just not mentioning something?). In an Arcana, they were showing people's reactions to Alara Reborn... why not Conflux? Because a lot of people already predict what's coming, in my opinion. So they thought, "well, that one's figured out, so let's use the last one. It creates more suspense, and it's not that far away from the next one..." or something like that.
