TRIVIA PUZZLE
FAMOUS LINE IN A MOVIE:
"We're in a Volcano"
- Dr. Evil
THE NEXT LINE HE SPEAKS IN THAT MOVIE:
The last Word in the Phrase is the First Word of the Card.
FAMOUS SONG:
LINGER - Band Name?
FAMOUS DRINK - The bands name is an Ingredient for this company, the Second Word in this companies name is the Last word in the Card.
Disintegrate - (X) = CC
But it's damage delt is Disintegrate if X is (2) only to creatures not to players = ABILITY
Is in instant.
Magma Spray R
Instant
~ Deals 2 damage to target creature. Can't be regen'd. If a creature dealt damage this way would be put into a graveyard, remove it from the game instead.
Shock is good. It only hasn't been used because of unchanging factors of the metas. It's still good in the abstract - just being outdone by Volcanic Hammers and the Zoos of 3 toughness.
. . . have beaters switched to where 2 toughness is reserved for weak control creatures?

Zesty is back! thanks for the cards. I think this is the battlemage I've liked the best, both abilities can be very relevant. Magma Spray is also good, both for limited, obviously, but quite respectable.
I'm calling it right now- worst rare in the set. Even good limited players will find better bombs at common and uncommon no sweat. Worst. Episode. Ever.
I really do predict this to be our worst rare in set award winner. I'd be happier opening a jar of eyeballs, so I think anything worse is highly unlikely. This card wont just have zero constructed potential, but not be significantly better than a mass of ghouls in a draft.
Pretty neat, there are a bunch of annoying 2 power toughness that would be better off removed from the game, like finks for example or a lot of stuff reveillark can return.
Magma Spray R
Instant
Remove target stupid kitchen finks from the game.
Fixed
very much this. Of course, since rock is apparently too slow for the meta and it's not played in elfball or toast, its not really *that* useful against finks.

Good limited removal, and if there's some kind of horrible problem with persist creatures or unearth creatures, then this is a great way to deal with them. The inability to hit players tones this card down significantly.
Thats a nice little, F**K YOU Finx, GTFO Mulldrifter in Revelark!
I love it, its just so awesome!
Edit: To the guy who says its worse than shock... am i reading it wrong? It does 2 damage at instant speed for R (shock), and then has an effect, and it doesn't buff goyf.
Edit: Oh creature only... How often do you shock your opponent? (other than storm).
Better than Puncture Bolt for anti-persist. So it's still playable in standard if persist is a problem for you. Puncture Blast is still the best though. Would have been vaguely useful for tech against Lark decks as well. Remove target Mulldrifter/Sower/Venser (Body Double/Lark with extra damage) from the game. Nice.
If these are real and accurate as spoiled, the Scorching Lava variant may see some play in sideboards. The battlemage is just junk. A lot of creatures with tap abilities are.
Do you need someone to explain to you when to throw burn at the dome? Or that there's an advantage to direct damage at instant speed?
Thats what incinerate is for in my opinion. Shock is a good card, but a lot of times its just used for creatures anyways and if you've held a card in your hand till the point where your about to kill someone, just do whatever you were doing before to kill them or (if they just Wrathed or otherwise stabalized) use incinerate.
Now this might just be my opinion however, do you need someone to explain to you that some people value cards differently for legitimate reasons based on past experience?

2 dmg to target. That creature can't be... blah blah

Deal 2 damage to target creature, it can't be regenerated. If it would be put to graveyard this turn, remove it from the game instead.

Are we confirmed that it can hit players too? if so, better than tarfire, which is better than shock.
Also, 12shock.dec is coming!
Can't hit players. Limited bait
"...not to players"
And so we creep along. . .

On Planar Chaos:
Best card ever. Probably standard playable. Also removes target stupid Redcap from the game too. But mostly finks... mostly finks...
The battlemage is also pretty nice, with a offensive support ability and card advantage.
I like both cards, though 2 damage might not be enough in this format of big butts. The battlemage is very good actually!

Solid limited burn though. Meh otherwise.
