Wort is going to make the Shenanigans more fun then they are. It basically makes one goblin card in your graveyard into Squee.
I've defiently got to get me 4 of at the pre-release... well at least 2.
I dont mind the tarfire art. I looks like older artwork (from like 4th ed), and I like the older art.
At least there is a bit of humor in the flavour text.

I think Wort may be the engine that drive a B/R Shenanigans deck. If you've got her, a Boggart Birth Rite and Tarfire in the 'yard, you are hitting for 4 a turn with 1 Shenanigans on the table, 8 with 2, etc (basic math skills..lol).
So the game goes like so:
Turn 1: Mountain, Tarfire (17)
Turn 2: Swamp, Boggart Birth Rite, Tarfire again (14)
Turn 3: Land Drop, Boggart Shenanigans
Turn 4: Land Drop, Wort, Boggart Auntie
Turn 5: Land Drop, Recur the Birth Rite with Auntie, Cast Birth Rite (13), Cast Tarfire to the head (10), preferably use your remaining 3 mana to do more damage (say..Tarfire again (7), Birth Rite again (6), recast Tarfire (3))
Turn 6: Recur some more...gg.
Turn 1: Mountain, Tarfire (17)
Turn 2: Swamp, Boggart Birth Rite, Tarfire again (14)
Turn 3: Land Drop, Boggart Shenanigans
Turn 4: Land Drop, Wort, Boggart Auntie
Turn 5: Land Drop, Recur the Birth Rite with Auntie, Cast Birth Rite (13), Cast Tarfire to the head (10), preferably use your remaining 3 mana to do more damage (say..Tarfire again (7), Birth Rite again (6), recast Tarfire (3))
Turn 6: Recur some more...gg.
Umm... Tarfire only does 2 damage, unless a Shenanigans is in play Therefore, it would be more like this:
Turn 1: Mountain, Tarfire (18)
Turn 2: Swamp, Boggart Birth Rite, Tarfire again (16)
Turn 3: Land Drop, Boggart Shenanigans
Turn 4: Land Drop, Wort, Boggart Auntie
Turn 5: Land Drop, Recur the Birth Rite with Auntie, Cast Birth Rite (15), Cast Tarfire to the head (12), preferably use your remaining 3 mana to do more damage (say..Tarfire again (9), Birth Rite again (8), recast Tarfire (5))
Turn 6: Recur some more...gg.
The turn 5 could be used to play another Shenanigans also.

Sorry...I did get ahead of myself on that damage curve, eh? (can you tell I'm a little excited about Boggart Shenanigans..;) I never thought the Tribal card type could be so much fun...: ) )
And good call on my "what can I possibly do with another 3 mana?" dilemma on turn 5...nothing like 8 damage from the recursion on turn 6.
Yeah, I loved Wort from the first time I saw those cute little boggart babies... a 3/3 fear for 4 mana is very decent (see flying), but a free regrowth for your Goblin deck every turn is sick sick sick...
I'm lovin' these multicolored legends, very flavorful and well designed... I wonder what the Merfolk & Changeling ones do?
Wort is pretty decent, especially in limited. I'm not sure if an evasive 3/3 for 4 is enough to cut in standard. The recursion is great stuff, but goblins used to be so fast that I'm not sure how will people accept their Lorwyn slower role.

I think goblins won't get an Onslaught level deck this T2 season. While siege-gang coming back is a big help the fact is they sure won't be doing stuff like replacing warchief or prospector and most likely not piledriver.
Think another tribe deserves the spotlight not goblins for the 2nd time.
Anyways the Tarfire we know its decent the goblin lady is pretty good especially if your using goblin shenanigans.

I don't sure there will be Changeling legend at all. In today's article, MaRo said there will be eight gold legends - one for each tribe. So, shapeshifters get a chaff, it seems =\
Tarfire's art reminds me of Lava Spike for some reason Oo
Definitely think that some people are getting too down on the art for Tarfire - I think it's awesome
And as for Aunty Wort - WOW! I've been thinking r/b gobs since we first started hearing about the tribes and associated colours, and this just makes me very, very happy

You're not your deck.
You're not how much mana you have in your pool.
You're not your half-naked, animè girl card sleeves.
You're not your DCI rating.
You're not your freaking ‘Coldsnap Prerelease’ t-shirt.
You are the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the Multiverse.
Tarfire's art- welll it's not the best art for a great burn spell but it's not terrible.
Wort, Boggart Auntie- Nice card the 3 toughness for 4 is a bit worrying but otherwise very solid. Interestingly enough one of the fakes posted a card with the same ability as a 1/2 for 1BR without fear and without the legendary status.
Wort looks liek something out of Abarat by Clive Barker. i like it a lot even though i'm not much of a fan of goblins. tarfire is shock with more entertaining flavor text.
Auntie Wort is awesome! I was hoping for Auntie Thumb but whatever. The boggart babies are actually cute. How do you go from as cute as a bug's ear to looking like your elderly aunt? The flavor text is in my top favorites now.
I personally like the art of Lorowyn, Tarfire seems fantasy enough for me and is quite good. What im not liking is the good gobs cards being black or gold with black, they dont help gobs in the eternal formats.
This thread is full of idiots... Lightning Bolt is NOT being reprinted.
Many times has a writer in Wizards said so, because of the plain and simple fact that it's too powerful for what it costs. x/3 creatures shouldn't be able to die at instant speed for one mana without a signifigant drawback. (like PTE giving you a land)
I absolutely guarantee that LB will not be printed in M10, and you can quote me on that.
A 4 mana 3/3 Goblin is rather bad compared to the stuff Goblins allready have.
And I think that her ability is kind of slow
I'm not impressed by goblins so far.. I'd like to add some to my VialGob deck.

I was actually going to say that the Boggarts in this set look like something out of those cannibal exploitation horror/torture movies from the 70s. Wort's just the icing on the cake there.
Bleiweiss is showing some Lorwyn on SCG - some we know, some is new.
Personally I'm not a fan of the art. Here's the already spoiled Tarfire.
And a legendary goblin.
1) functionally better shocks are a bad idea WOTC. Unless you plan on pritning lightning bolt in 11th...
2) Hill giants are not fun... raising dead goblins seems rather zombie-like, and fear doesn't make sense (I know, they were trying to push it... but they pushed it into "random").
At the end of the day, neither card was designed well...
1) functionally better shocks are a bad idea WOTC. Unless you plan on pritning lightning bolt in 11th...
The jury is still out as to whether this is strictly better. Tarfire is subject to effects like "Goblin spells cost X more to play" and the like...

As you noted, this is a Hill Giant with fear and a fairly potent recursion effect. I think asking that she be costed less or powered more is asking for too much power creep. Zombies are what get raised, not what does the raising... a B Shaman pulling stuff out of the graveyard (which includes Tribals other than creatures) feels okay to me. As for fear, did you see how ugly she is? There's something *really* unnatural about the spacing of her eyes...

This is our last dance, this is ourselves under pressure.
About Wort's art... I don't think those are Boggart babies. I think those are Kithkin babies. And I think she's raising them, well, to eat them!
Raises the creepiness level of the art quite substantially. Mmm, Kithkin, the other white meat.

I love the art on Tarfire, and look to collect a foil playset (but since they'll be saught after, that will be bad).
The Auntie is alright, but it doesn't seem red to me. Both the Fear and the Raise dead ability are Black. Why the Red? The need for a "Hill Giant" size doesn't fit with it being Red.
Personally I'm not a fan of the art. Here's the already spoiled Tarfire.
