Minotaurs aren't beasts; Oracle still gives lots of minotaur cards in Magic, perhaps most famously Hurloon Minotaur. Of course, the thing depicted in that booster image might not be a minotaur; it could be a Beast or an Aurochs, which would be cool and play nicely with the Aurochs from Coldsnap.

It doesn't look to me like a Minotaur, It looks more like an Uro, and if it is an uro it will have some sinergy with the coldsnap uros.....Triba uro deck?
Edit: Sorry I mean Aurochs its just that in spanish Aurochs= Uros
I think it might be a minotaur. It may look a bit different, but keep in mind that the elves from Lorwyn look a bit different from those we're used to seeing, too.

At first glance i thought Minotaur too but it really looks much like an Auroch...or a Wildebeast?
Would be fun if Minotaurs returned in Lorwyn though. I've missed that tribe.

So...15-card boosters.
I take it the extra card isn't mentioned, since it isn't technically a Magic card?
10th edition packs say 15 cards on them too. They make no mention of the extra card anywhere on the packaging.
I assume that Tournament packs will have 3 of these cards, AND a pro card? That will be interesting.
Some known arts, but two unknown arts. I think it is interesting how the same arts are showing up everywhere, and MORE interesting that a Lorwyn art is on the cover for the Morningtide book...

if the water buffalo thing really does have a shell on its back, maybe its another elemental. The shriekmaw card is an elemental, and it is also a freakish abomination of a salamander, fish, bird, thing.
Wizards has announced before that for Lorwyn there will be a 16th card in each booster. This card will either be a Tip/Trick/Rules card for the new thing they're introducing in Lorwyn (Planeswalker card type)...or a token. Ratio of appearance i think is 2 tokens to 1 Tip/Tricks/Rule card. Just like what they did in Xth.

First of all Nice artwork, next the first booster is obviously a Kithkin as already mentioned, 2nd must be an BR elf, not quite sure, the color of her art suggests it, 3rd would be a bull with a shell??? Farm animals??? 4th is obvously a new kind of merfolk and the 5th is a treefolk...
#1 - What's the dumbest idea you ever had?
#2 - 15/15 for 15?
#1 - Make it dumber
#2 - Give it protection from removal and counter?
#1 - DUMBER!
#2 - Add Timewalk?
#1 - DAMN IT MAN, I SAID DUMB!! DUMB !!!
#2 - It destroys everything when it attacks.... And wait, I have a friend who plays mill decks... I want to beat him too.
#1 - Excellent! Recess is over, go back and learn sex-ed with the other 6th graders.
Wow, with all this talk of Lorwyn elves going around I am a little surprised that one of the boosters doesn't have an elf on it. Hmph, guess they didn't want to over do it. Good call on their part.

I am probably the only person in the world that collects Tarnished Citadels. Not because I like the card, but because I don't want someone to get his hands on one and then attemp to actually play the damned thing.
Hope they make an higher ratio like 5/1 token to tip/tricks (i rather draw a token).
I found this "shell" very similar to a gorilla forehead. But makes no sense a gorilla and a auroch on the same art. Unless they are all Beasts.
Urzassedatives: sorry by leeching wizards, but since it went public, i couldn't find any harm on that, next time i'll attach it. (by the way, how do i do that?..thx for fixing.)

"Now i lay you, down to rest, you'll never be more than second best" (Megadeth)
The beast/minotaur thing looks like a cross between a Water buffalo and a Glyptodon to me.
Certainly looks more beast like than something intelligent like a minotaur. But who knows what Lorwyn will do to our preconceptions about what different creature types should look like (elves and merfolk already look pretty different).

The harm is in that it steals their bandwidth. You may notice that sometimes the WoTC website 'dies' around midnight. (Especially for card previews) This helps lighten their load, and also guarantees we are always able to see the pictures. (If their site is getting hammered, the pictures won't show up)
Actually, in Lorwyn (and other non-core expansions) the ratio of token/tip is 3:1, when in 10th the ratio of tip/token was 3:1.

I didn't stated that Minotaurs are beasts, just asked: Do you think that is a Minotaur picture or a Beast picture?
Maybe it's just my wish for Minotaurs, but indeed it looks like pretty much a beast.
But a better question, what do you guess is that picture?
Is it thief, thug or whore? There's one at the door...
