Man, these are nice. They are awsome, must get four x foil for monowhite control. Hmmn, oh the others. Ghostflame. Need four, no make it eight so I can have a set of foils. It can kill Akroma and get around other things. Me likey.
While the white land is nice it would of been better with Scry 2. Though what I really wanted was a white land with Forecast - Put a 1/1 white soldier token into play. That would be awesome.
(if the rumours are true and accurate)
Man that scry land would be nice. That's a lovely first turn drop if you haven't got anything better to do! In fact it's great in the mid game as well, and not even dead later on, either. Decks would be happy to have that, imo.
If I designed Ghostflame, I'd probably make it cost 2R and be an instant, but that's just my opinion, I have no clue if that's what Wizards came up with also.
The poison aura isn't up my alley at all.
Flanking and flying together, sure why not. It doesn't make much sense since flanking is something mounted fighters do, but why not from the air also... it's a stretch but oh well! Would make a decent common.
Wait, so the other 4 lands in the cycle have rav guild on-colour abilities, but the white one has scry?
It seems a little out of place...
Well, let's see white abilities from Ravnica:
Haunt - ....
Convoke - ...
Radiance - ...
Forecast - Okay, this one is tricky. The fact is, every single forecast card has a forecast effect that is a reduced version of the normal card effect. This make no sense for simple lands.
So, I think there was no good option in Ravnica for a white land.

I rolled 5 D6's and got 3 fours. They must have changed the odds of getting a 4!
Awesome, a Land Creature. Have been making them in my custom sets for years, and it's nice to see them become a reality.
Scry seems a bit out of place on New Benalia. Decent card though.
More poison, yay!
Question - Could Knight of Sursi actually be the same as "Knight of Swisi"? The source for the artwork misspelled Korlash's title, too ("Hevi to Blackblade" IIRC), and Sursi and Swisi kinda look alike if you squint. Plus it's kinda strange to have two card names this similar in the same color and set... But what do I know?
Thou shalt not have others of the same Legendary before me Thou shalt not frame images with the modern card face Thou shalt not change rules in vain Remember the Reserved List to keep it holy Honor thy Slivers and the symmetry of their abilities Thou shalt not kill mana burn Thou shalt not sacrifice depth for accessibility Thou shalt not steal combat damage from the stack Thou shalt tell a story through thy cards All must be one
the white scry land seems lazy compaired to the others. I thought it would keep going with the ravnica guild abilities, perhaps a Forecast land? Forecast- "Reveal this, add W to your mana pool."

The "Creature Land" is really nice, and my friend Ken (who was one of the three interns to make it via the Great Design Search) designed these guys.
The Dryad land is one of his creations... and also, I can't remember where, but someone else mentioned that one of the other designer's cards / new mechanics would be implemented in this set (I'm thinking it's the the one where the spell's effect is done twice , like "Scry 4, then draw a card. Then, Scry 4, then draw a card.")
Wait a minute, someone shot down my suggestion that this (GDS ideas making it to cardboard) happened. Things like the "Enchantment Creature" by Alexis and "Pyre" which is now "Delve" by Noah on Tombstalker. So does that mean that we can look to the GDS card submissions as pseudo-spoilers?
Argh, New Benalia sucks in my opinion...sure it scry's, but even the hellbent mountain looks like its going to get more action than this. I still think it should have been a forecasting plains tutor. I even made what it should be...

Forecast - 1WW, Reveal ~ from your hand: Search your library for a plains card, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your library. Play this ability only if an opponent controls more land than you. (Play this ability only during your upkeep and only once a turn.)
Snake Cult Initiation doesn't really do anything for me. Poisonous 3 sounds pretty splashy, but in a limited environment with plenty of removal and efficient creatures, I really don't see anybody using this effectively. Definitely won't see play in competitive Constructed... to the casual tables!!
New Benalia seems pretty decent, but I'm not sold on it being an auto-include anywhere. Aggro (BDW, WW, and so on) needs to curve out properly, so it isn't really useful early. UW and BW control will probably like it... it seems decent/playable, but nothing to really drool over.
I like Ghostfire. Based on Hunter's description of the art, I'm guessing it'll be a full-art participation card for Champs. Colorless burn is something I've heard people suggest in the past, and we've seen shades of "colorless spells" from cards such as Ersatz Gnomes. It will certainly be a solid limited card, and it may warrant some constructed play.
Knight of Sursi appeals to me just because it's unique. I'm definitely picturing a knight riding a pegasus out of a rift for the whole flying/flanking/suspend thing. Definitely a solid card in limited, though it won't be found elsewhere.
Card 174 is suppossed to be a Land Creature (Dryad) AWESOME
Card 180 is supposed to be a morph Land AWESOME
New benalia sucks.
ghostfire is cool i guess, but nothing too fantastic.
knight is pretty good in draft i would guess. can suspend it and 2/2 flying flankers are hard to block. meh

Demon’s Horn has a reputation in multiplayer games, Lursen said.“Usually if somebody in multiplayer plays a Demon’s Horn, we all just immediately attack that person, because he’s going to win,” Lursen said.
As the knights are now 2/2 and you can rate them, rate them i will- Limited solid and constructed possibility(but only as something to do on your 1st turn).

What we're doing here is akin to taking the text of Moby Dick, locating specific words therein, rearranging them to create a passage from Fight Club, and concluding from this evidence that Tyler Durden is based on Ahab.
I await the day Wizards start to make bad ass knights and not a bunch of sissies. I hope that Sursi knight isnt the one that another member described from the art gallery. There is suppose to be a knight that is riding a pegasus and has 2 blades in his hand. Hopefully there is another knight in this set thats actually good.

Is New Benalia supposed to be the Rav-effect land for white?
Ok, looking at white Rav abilities:
Convoke: On a land? What would it do, give a creature card in your hand Convoke? No.
Radiance: Don't get me started.
Haunt: It'd be a one-shot thing, from the way I understand Haunt, which is bad on a land.
Forecast: Too broken. Two lands a turn? No way.
So, the white land was gonna be crappy no matter what.
I will live. So will you.

The Sursi Knight is okay too.... Flying Flanking is simply rather unexpected, but nice
