One of our more respected informers has dropped in to inform the 'mill on some details (Well almost the whole card word for word) pertaining to the PR card for [FS]...
CHOICE AS!
I proudly give to you all one of the Legends in [FS]... and it's a Future shifted card also!
**Updated! Thanks to a small flying friend!**
Korlash, Heir to Blackblade 2BB Legendary Creature - Zombie Warrior Korlash has power and toughness each equal to the number of swamps you control. 1B: Regenerate Korlash Grandeur - Discard another card named Korlash, Heir to Blackblade from your hand: Search your library for up to two swamp cards and put them into play tapped. Then shuffle your library. */* Illustration: RKF! Rare. 87/180
Yes, Venserthenewplaneswalker was right, Grandeur is an activated ability for the Future-shifted Legend cycle only (it appears), Please keep in mind however we're not 100% if the Grandeur ability itself is a 'comes into play' ability or an activated ability for the card in-play.
Hmmmmm... Still a neat-o card for MBC if you ask me, right?
Please feel free to speculate on this card, and the ability of course, but...
Please keep it on topic, and for goodness sake give us some content please!
Wow, it seems really good!! I hope all the Grandeur abilities are this great! Amazing work Brother Hydro! This is a most excellent PR card too. Future Sight is shaping up to be hot hot hot!
Turn 1: Swamp, discard this guy, put two swamps into play.
Turn 2: Swamp, play a 4/4, win.

It is pointless if it is a CIP ability.
I like the concept of these legends...I guess.
This one is pretty eh.

Grandeur would make sense on futureshifted cards, seeing as it would be (currently) ANY Korlash. If for example, you could discard and Korlash to pay the cost, not just this very card.
Can anyone say mana accel=grandeur? It's too good if theres no alternate cost. It's like landsearch for free. And it isn't in green. :| Unless of course you need the first Korlash to be in play then that would delay things a bit. Either way, he seems fun to play. Urborg, tomb of Yawgmoth anyone?
Turn 1: Swamp, discard this guy, put two swamps into play.
Turn 2: Swamp, play a 4/4, win.
Keep in mind that the card itself needs to be in play for your to use it's grandeur ability, you discard additional copies of the same legend to use it.
At first I thought that you would be able to use grandeur while it's in your hand with no other conditions, rather than needing one in play first. Am I alone in thinking that this really doesn't need to be keyworded? It's just a plain activated ability meant to reduce the drawback of being a legend. That being said, I like this card very much :).
WTF???
If Grandeur works with discard as it is on this card, it would be so broken! Hello? Turn 1 Land, discard this, turn 2 Land, 4 Mana? And it searches for Duals!
That doesn't work. As it's worded, you have to have Korlash in play in order to discard a duplicate to Grandeur.
Grandeur is printed in italics, so it MUST be a state-based effect. That said, it can be activated from your hand. This makes it much better, although it still leaves the issue of running more copies of a particular legend just to make use of the ability.
Now, this ability MUST have a catch. I can run four copies of Korlash and discard them for FREE to accelerate my mana to insane heights? There is something more to it then that.
Perhaps the italics don't suggest an ability played from your hand? Even so, I don't see how having the guy in play makes it any less cheap...

I don't think you can play the ability from your hand because two extra swamps on turn 1 would be sooo broken that it's not even funny. Rather, grandeur sounds like an ability that makes use of the extra copies of the same legend after you play the first one. If so, then this card is so-so.
The Grandeur appears to be a creature ability, not a card ability. Free mana accel like that would be beyond broken, and you should all be able to realize the intent here even if the wording isn't perfect.

That's...that's...WOW! Seldom does a card generate such a response from me, but it says swamp. You can fetch the shock lands with it. He's not bad at all and the regeneration ability is such a plus. This is of course good if the ability works as is posted. I could see some insanity in returning him to your hand via that card from Coldsnap with Recover that eludes me for the moment. Maybe incorproating Buried Alive into the mixture for extended. Anywho, I really like this card. Thanks for the info Hydro.
Gosh, I suddenly feel stupid I guess I totally missed the fact that his mana accel works only when he's in play... Still, he's a scary dude. A real damn scary one
Getting free mana at that sort of speed is insane.
Okay, so I manage to get my FOUR-mana creature into play. He's a 4/4. Now, if I have more copies of him, I can give him +2/+2 AND accelerate my mana at NO COST to me whatsoever?
There MUST be a catch!

First, this guy breaks Urborg in half, then this kid also gives black a REALLY STRONG mana accel...

My only qualm would be the keyword Grandeur..... It's just Channel in a new name anyway, geez...
i will be a black mage again.

Im pretty sure you can only use Grandeur if the legend is already in play. (not sure if you have to control it or not but most likely).

No it can't. It's a triggered ability for the card when it is in-play.
My apologies if it wasn't clear in the original post.

These words are completely gibberish.
I am confident this is an activated ability of the creature while it is in play, as per how we were spoiled. You discard a duplicate.
And it's a decent card. Clearly the point of Grandeur is that it lets you run 4 of legends, and I'm glad they're not making it super swingy.
Make a card called Long For This World.
