Nice searching there Brother Kalbear... I'm off to have a peek.

...There's some fantastic sketches and designs for the Gruul humans... but... we want Orzhov women!!!
I really like the goblin with the broken bottle as a weapon. I hope they come out with a R/G goblin that has the name 'mad gob 40/40' but I know they won't, the bastards.
I'm kinda surprised at the Gruul methodology here; they're talking about how they go from place to place, trash it, and move on. How is that a green mechanic? Aside from them being kind of natural, how are these guys at all green, and why aren't they just red?
Brother Kalbear: Well the same can kinda be said for most guilds featured so far bro, they are definetly more Red than Green... but their hate for the cities/civilisation/society etc that's the (vague) Green part.
Give us the other Gruul legendary critter, and I'll be most happy. My money's on the Awesome Centaur from the poster... what about you guys?
Pretty nice stuff, except one part that kinda bothered me a little.
The Gruul raid an area, smash it up, burn it down, and live in the wreckage until the resources run dry. Then it’s time for another raid. Gruul areas are smoldering, half-overgrown ruins, rubble, abandoned neighborhoods, etc.
Maybe this is just me, but doesn't that seem a little too... I dunno, parasitic? (black)

Think a "Creeping Mold Guild"... they creep slowly across the city and destroy stuff. They "Naturalize" the city. The red version of green is more course, beastial, emotional, impulsive.
Great pictures. Is that place with the serpent heads and lava pits the dual, or the Gruul common land?
Hmm. I can see at least the color influence in the other guilds. Especially Dimir and Selesnya, and Golgari captures something fairly well too. Boros is a bit weaker, but it still makes some sense (especially the militaristic standpoint of it).
I guess I've not seen a lot of the green barbarian aspect, and destroying the environment for selfish reasons has never been much for the green aspect. Perhaps I just don't know green well enough to see the link. I had thought that green/red agreed on the chaotic aspect of the world, as well as the emotional side and the need for strength. But does that only manifest itself as barbarian hordes?
Kalbear: You're right with the chaotic side of Red Green, but it's the "natural" face to this side that would best represent green in this instance my friend.
Polyjak's got it right with "Creeping mold" I feel, this best sums up the Gruuls perspective towards the other guilds IMO... Nice work brother!
Hmm. Maybe if they were actively wanting to bring the world down - that this was their goal - and that they were more actively against artifice and order, I'd see it more. As it stands, I see them basically breaking stuff and just wanting to break stuff for breaking sake.
Green is more about destruction and selfishness then many people think.
Sure, green likes growth, but the growth has to be on *their* terms, and in *their* image.
Green will happily destroy something in order to build something upon it.
Sure, the Gruul aren't really 'building' so much as 'squatting', but the principle is there. They oppose the growth that exists in a place, and will happily destroy it into a more ... pleasing form.
yes, destruction is sort of in green. a while ago, i was reading one of the books from urza block, and they mentioned yavimaya constantly destroying itself, and regrowing better/stronger/bigger. i do not think that that is the pic for the dual. thats because the dual is called stomping grounds, and i wouldnt somp in the lava stuff there if i was the gruul.
We live in a country were ~50% of the populace believe public schooling is a socialist conspiracy and that being called Einstein is an insult. We could try and fix it, but unfortunately the other 50% don't believe in euthanasia.
Damn...those artworks look awsome!! I can't get there from work...the site is blocked. I need to get home....8 more hours!
The snake art does look like a land. It has to be the Gruul if it is a land. Giants and snakes and Slums...OH MY!

That image (sorry I don't know how to resize it) looks like it could be an uber-big creature spell. On the same sort of power level as Morii or Loxodon Hierarch.
Gruul fits perfectly between red and green flavorfully. It is like a sentence. Red says "Lets go on a raid and smash things..." Green says "...we don't care about rebuilding because nature will do it itself. Red wants to destroy because it hates civilization. Green wants to destroy because civilization isn't natural. Ravnica is a giant city that apparently covers the entire plane. It is only natural that Red/Green want to smash it.
That land art is, in my opinion, the guildhome. I may be wrong, who can say? But it does look like Rage Pits to me.
On an unrelated note, why do the Orzhov have to be last? Annoys me.

Sweet, I am going to check it immediately.

You know my opinion :D. The antlered centaur is 99% the second Gruul legend ;).
BTW, do you think that the pic at the right is the Gruul shockland? Or Skarrg?

Basically, you've got a lot of angry-ass people (red) who live much more beastial and uncivilized (red).

On the other hand, not to be so harsh, your guess was pretty close, considering the fact that you have not seen the Slum before.
