Solid stats, comes back if needed, useful in the "dredge chain".
Civic Wayfinder - 2G
Creature - Elf Warrior Druid (C)
When Civic Wayfinder comes into play, you may search your library for a basic land card, reveal it, and put it into your hand. If you do, shuffle your library.
2/2
Stone-Seeder Hierophant - 2GG
Creature - Human Druid (C)
Whenever a land comes into play under your control, untap Stone-Seeder Hierophant.
: Untap target land.
1/1
Ummm.... lets you get around the 2 life drawback of the rav duals? Also possibly useful in some kind of combo deck.
Goliath Spider - 6GG
Creature - Spider (U)
Goliath Spider can block as though it had flying.
7/6
Bah. Strange that it has power > toughness.... not very spider-y. Should have cost 5GG.
Trophy Hunter - 2G
Creature - Human Archer (U) 1G: Trophy Hunter deals 1 damage to target creature with flying.
Whenever a creature with flying dealt damage by Trophy Hunter this turn is put into a graveyard, put a +1/+1 counter on Trophy Hunter.
2/3
Oooooooooh, very efficient for 3 mana! Takes down dragons and wears their scales and claws! Pretty big for the cost... if this was BOK, he would have been a 1/2 or less.
Ivy Dancer - 2G
Creature - Dryad Shaman (U)
: Target creature gains forestwalk until end of turn.
1/2
Is this BOK?
Perilous Forays - 3GG
Enchantment (U) 1, Sacrifice a creature: Search your library for a land card with a basic land type and put it into play tapped. Then shuffle your library.
I don't like it for two reason: kinda expensive (6 mana and a creature before you get ONE land), and because it uses a cheat in wording to flavourlessly force players to play with the dual lands. Manipulation of the game. Might as well say "Search your library for a rare land card..." :slant:
Dowsing Shaman - 4G
Creature - Centaur Shaman (U) 2G, : Return target enchantment card from your graveyard to your hand.
3/4
Abuseable effect, but that's a little slow and costly IMO.
Overwhelm - 5GG
Sorcery (U)
Convoke
Creatures you control get +3/+3 until end of turn.
More like "Underwhelm"... :slant: They don't even get trample?
Scion of the Wild - 1GG
Creature - Avatar (R)
Scion of the Wild's power and toughness are each equal to the number of creatures you control.
*/*
Beast of Burden in the right colour... for half the price. I'll take it!
Convoke is pretty cool. with that enchantment that makes everything have keywords if one of your creatures has it, that overwhelm might work, but its still gonna be late game. The naturalize is cool. I predict 4 eeach for the naturalize and white creature removal in any GW deck.
There's a combo just waiting to happen with Perilous Forays and Stone-Seeder Hierophant...
Overwhelm seems kind of weak to me
The avatar is really nice IMO
rest of cards are decent green cards
Some nice stuff, some meh, some utterly unplayable (Overwhelm... you're gonna be TAPPING the creatures you're gonna bust, pure genius ^_^;). The enchantment recurring guy definitely looks more white to me.
Hmm...You can use the T: untap land guy for untapping the common lands that tap for 2 mana. Not a terribly bad use for some fast mana...Too bad 1/1s for 4 mana rarely do much.
Sundering Vitae - Not bad. 1 for convoke is fine in this case.
Stone-Seeder Hierophant - So...tap land for mana, untap w/this guy, play land, untap this guy, tap land for mana, untap w/this guy...4 mana out of 2 lands? Meh.
Goliath Spider - That is one big arse spider. Not bad.
Trophy Hunter - Now THAT is cool. I kill your birds then stab you with their beaks! Bwakakakaka!
Ivy Dancer - Umm, useless?
Perilous Forays - That is just waaay too expensive.
What we're doing here is akin to taking the text of Moby Dick, locating specific words therein, rearranging them to create a passage from Fight Club, and concluding from this evidence that Tyler Durden is based on Ahab.
There's a combo just waiting to happen with Perilous Forays and Stone-Seeder Hierophant...
Woah. Unless I'm wrong, that basically means...
Sacrifice a creature: Search your library for a land with a basic land type and put it into play tapped.
Pay 1 and sacrifice 1 creature to start. In response, untap the first land with Hierophant. Find a land, untap Hierophant. Repeat. Seed the land anyone?
heiro phant(untapper guy) + frred from the real + plus something like dawns reflection = infinite mana. maybe replace dawns reflection with something life fertile ground but is that in 9th? if this works you could win on turn 4 or 5. you could also use ley druid.

Sweet, the return of the Elf brings great things from his travels, only card I really like is the Trophy Hunter, Scion of the Wild, and maybe the land untapper:-):-):-)

I have returned! Hide your children and lock your doors!
Greater Mossdog: Typical. A 3/3 for 4 mana. The dredging may be useful. Civic Wayfinder: Better than Wood Elves. Sundering Vitae: A free Naturalize? Gimme. Stone-Seeder Hierophant: I'm sure there's a way to break this. Goliath Spider: Better than Scaled Wurm Trophy Hunter: Making the skies a safer place. Ivy Dancer: Meh Perilous Forays: No way. Dowsing Shaman: Good defense against your opponent's Naturalize Overwhelm: Where's the trample? Scion of the Wild: Cheaper Beast of Burden? Gimme.

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
Who else thinks stone seeder hierophant should have been in Kamigawa with its moonfolk friends? I can't believe we have another moss dog... Completely different from the last. And I just gotta get some trophy hunters.
Stone-Seeder Hierophant + Seed the Land + Perilous Forays + Overgrowth = Mana equal to twice the number of lands in your deck, only four cards (A bad, yet all-green combo).
Also, Stone-Seeder Hierophant + Meloku the Clouded Mirror is an okay combo. (Bounce lands and replay them to have the Hierophant untap an extra time each turn, giving you an extra mana.)
Turn 1: Forest, Sakura-Tribe Scout.
Turn 2: Land, Selesnya Sanctuary (bounces land), Scout it out again.
Turn 3: Land, Overgrowth on Sanctuary, SSH.
Turn 4: Tap lands for 2G, Sanctuary for WGGG. Tap SSH to untap Sanctuary. Tap Sanctuary for WGGG. Lay a land, untap SSH, tap SSH to untap Sanctuary. Tap Sanctuary for WGGG, play Autochthon Wurm.
Nice. But I would claim this is unnecessarily complicated. Let's see what happens if we reduce our demands a bit:
Turn 1: Forest, some cheap accel (BoP, Scout, Llanowar, B elf)
Turn 2: 2 mana accel (elder, farseek), doubleland, bounce original land
Turn 3: SSH, replay original land unless you didn't draw a 3rd land
Turn 4: tap doubleland, tap SSH/doubleland, play 2nd/3rd land, tap SSH/doubleland again.
Obviously this can be improved on easily, but an opening hand with land, doubleland, SSH, and a couple small accellerators nets you 7 mana, and there's lots of flexibility that depending on precise draw could make this a bit faster or slower. I'm seeing fairly consistent guild champions on turn 4, and with multiple birds/elves, that could drop to turn 3.
Once SSH is online, a doubleland NETS you FOUR MANA the first turn it comes into play. The next turn you wind up getting 6 mana plus the mana from the land you bounced last turn.
But with all that said, as long as your goal is to play fatties, Elvish Piper gets the job done for less. So if we really wanted to break this guy, we probably ought to look at the things Piper can't do, like artifacts, sorceries...
The convoke naturalize is very useful, I like it. Overwhelm is funny...turn 4 I tap 4 lands, all my creatures and give them all +3/+3...and....uhh...GO.
Perilous foraye +stone-seeder = lands in exchange for creatures. Too bad beacon of creation's going. All these cards are better than the red ones, in my opinion
At uncommon, that Scion's pretty awesome in limited. The flying hoser is very aggressively costed and with cards like Moroii and Szdaek (okay maybe just moroii) running around it's actually useful for once. All in all, green is actually shaping up pretty well and I'm glad it isn't getting the shaft in this set. Of course, nothing can beat the green cards from Mirrodin block (Tooth and Nail, Troll Ascetic, Eternal Witness..) but that's a different story.
Turn 1: Forest, Sakura-Tribe Scout.
Turn 2: Land, Selesnya Sanctuary (bounces land), Scout it out again.
Turn 3: Land, Overgrowth on Sanctuary, SSH.
Turn 4: Tap lands for 2G, Sanctuary for WGGG. Tap SSH to untap Sanctuary. Tap Sanctuary for WGGG. Lay a land, untap SSH, tap SSH to untap Sanctuary. Tap Sanctuary for WGGG, play Autochthon Wurm.
i love the wurm...purely because there will be decks out there that try to do just that...oh the stupidness of a 9/14....why couldnt be be an entangler ?

if you are ever being chased by a police dog, try not to run through a tunnel, then over a little see-saw, then jump through a ring of fire. theyre trained for that
rarity issues: The Scion is rare and the Shaman is uncommon.
That okay, they're still good.
The Heirophant just begs to be used. Make lots of mana, Enduring Ideals and twincast, then search for privilegded position x 2, next turn Ivory Mask and Ghostly Prison, and then you can't be touched, kinda, Or minus the twincast and wait few more turns. Its T2, so you can't ask for much.
The Scion had to be rare, pulling three or more of these in draft is just sick.
