Enchantment (R)
Whenever a creature spell is played, each player returns all cards with the same name as that spell from his or her graveyard to play.
I like the concept of this, and I can see someone running a dredging G/B Relentless rats deck around it.
Is it just me or does woodwraith Corrupter not have an until end of turn clause? (a great boon for casual corrupters...)
And, someone predicted early on that a darksteel ingot-esque card would NOT be printed in RAV. They seemed quite adamant about it. Seems they're wrong, now.
Hex - :4mana::symb::symb:
Sorcery (R)
Destroy six target creatures.
The name made me laugh, I've got to say. Pretty cool, but not likely to see much play.
Really, it's not the name that should make you laugh. This card is the Prince of Darkness.
Hex = 6
4BB = 6
Kills = 6 target creatures.
I believe I've made my point. And they say black isn't evil in R&D.
-runs away screaming as 15,000,000 fundamentalists of a certain religion use this post to "prove" that Magic is under the influence of dark, religion specific forces-
not only that, God of atheism, It'll be selling on a certain internet card store for $6.66.
Don't forget that the card can be described in 6 words: Hex, sorcery, destroy six target creatures.
Firstly id like to say that why are the giving black such AMAZING AMAZING card draw?!?

This along with Dark confidant rounds up an emphatic card drawing engine for black for this constructed season. What on earth does blue have that stands up to this. They are very shy to give blue decent instant speed card draw. Gifts ungiven being the rare exeption.
I predict this to be a chase rare, in Ravnica, and will fetch about $10.
Surpression Field - good for weenie decks Loxodon Gatekeeper - Maybe the old boring lock decks return... boo Twilight Dover - very cute. nice mechanic. Why doesn't it fly though? Flickerform - save something from your own wrath? seems pretty expensive to use. don't think it is costed for tourneys. Remand - Nobody has still pointed out a second use for this; counter your own spell. If they use a counterspell on your spell, counter it with this, and their counter is illegal, so no condescend scry. You get your card back for next turn, and Remand replaces itself. It's a weird use, but it could happen.
It's one of the best anti-counter counterspells in a while, no matter how you play it. Hunted Phantasm - not as bad as the horror, still pretty bad Eye of the Storm - Very weird. And I like it. Dreamleash - Seems overcosted. Don't think it's tourney worthy Tunnel Vision - this seems really good in limited, especially with those cards :put target card from their graveyard on the bottom of their library. WOOSH! library milled. Followed Footsteps - Another very weird card. There has to be a way to break it. Necroplasm - Meh, not extremely good. Will take a long time before it's all dead and gone. And unlike Harbinger, does nothing until that time to those creatures Empty the Catacombs - Not very good IMO. Mass raise dead including for opponent. Play dredge creatures and save yourself some card slots. Moonlight Bargain - My bet on one of the (if not the) expensive cards in the set. Instant card drawing is always good. This is very good for it's cost. People say it is nice in reanimator, but it's not *that* good. Because it's from top of library, you can't search for a specific creature to the situation to dump. So in graveyard dumping, this is worse then entomb and buried alive (And I think it's pretty stupid there isn't a similar card in Ravnica, especially with all the Dredge. Very stupid). Sins of the past - overcosted for tournament play I think. Hex - funny flavor, bad card Blood Funnel - combo piece maybe, otherwise bad. Reroute - SB card Breath of Fury - Simply amazing. You can get in a lot of damage with this card in one turn. Char - Meh, they put the card in the right color but forgot to adjust the casting cost. 3 mana for 4 damage in red and a drawback is preposterous at rare. Lightning Blast is common. It should have been 2 mana or more damage. Aside from block or maybe if the metagame is very slow, this is bad. It is one of the few cards that can kill 4 toughness guys like the new Emisary, but I still think it could and should have been better. Golgari Grave-Troll - I really don't like the dredge theme, but I have to admit this is a good card. Doubling Season - this will get some insane things in casual. Beacons of creation will go through the roof. Life from the Loam - Anti LD sideboard card. It's rare though Vinelasher Kudzu - Could be okay if green beats is coming back to the tourney scene. Chorus of the Conclave - nice in limited, not very good elsewhere Bloodbond March - Works like a charm with dredge. You get one dredge guy back and cast it, and the whole team is back in play. Woodwraith Corrupter - Well this card can be a decent win condition on it's own. Not sure how well it plays. Brightflame - Too overcosted and specialized for tourney I think. Wrath would still be faster and better. Razia's Purification - Nice anti-control card. Set them back to a few lands while you keep creatures. Could be seen in tourneys. Spectral Searchlight - This card is funny. You can either get mana you need from it, or you give them one silly mana at end of their turn for 1 manaburn. Pariah's Shield - Overcosted, but nice in limited. slap it onto a useless token and you got a one time shield, re-equip a token next turn to repeat. Cloudstone Curio - Sounds clunky. You'd want this for come into play effects? Nullstone gargoyle - Gargoyles are fun. This one is decent. It has a fat marker on it "kill me" in multiplayer hehe.
I like the weird cards, and there are definately a few of the sets finest in this batch.
There are some very interesting cards here. Especially for two headed giant.
The one card that gives you or your pal mana, a little slow, but nice to have.
Eye of the Storm.. it says it remove the card, but I assume the spell still stays on the stack. This card would be nuts in multiplayer, and even more nuts with storm spells, since you play every copy.. Even one nonland card revealed for Mind's Desire.. you'll basically play every instant/sorciery in the deck...
Now Tunnel Vision... this card does let you search for that one card you need, albiet slowly. However, in limited, this + junktroller is a two card kill. Put a one-of under their library and that then becomes their library. If there were more ways to manipulate the bottom of the library, this could become a limited bomb. Keep an eye on this if such a mechanic appears in guildpact...
Eye of the Storm -
Enchantment (R)
Whenever a player plays an instant or sorcery card, remove it from the game. Then that player copies each instant or sorcery card removed from the game with Eye of the Storm. For each copy, the player may play the copy without paying its mana cost.
I can already see an RUW deck around this. White for circle pro red and etheral haze/holy day and acceleration (or perhaps it should play green for that and splash white for the stuff). blue for this and problery card draw. red for burn... Followed Footsteps -
Enchantment - Aura (R)
Enchant creature
At the beginning of your upkeep, put a creature token into play that's a copy of enchanted creature.
This one plus the white fetch-a-aura-and-put-it-on-to-me-creature-then-i-come-into-play might get pretty nasty (1 creature for 6 mana (I think) and you got - put a 3/3 with your choice of aura into play at the beginning of your turn... NASTY)
Necroplasm -
Creature - Ooze (R)
At the beginning of your upkeep, put a +1/+1 counter on Necroplasm.
At the end of your turn, destroy each creature with converted mana cost equal to the number of +1/+1 counters on Necroplasm.
Dredge 2
1/1
yeah yeah very good token destroyer. But its not that good with the horror since it kills him before he can get his job done (need another turn - perhaps sack this?)
Golgari Grave-Troll -
Creature - Skeleton Troll (R)
Golgari Grave-Troll comes into play with a +1/+1 counter on it for each creature card in your graveyard.
, Remove a +1/+1 counter from Golgari Grave-Troll: Regenerate Golgari Grave-Troll.
Dredge 6
0/0
one of the few cards that really combos with it self...
Doubling Season -
Enchantment (R)
If an effect would put one or more tokens into play under your control, it puts twice that many into play instead. If an effect would place one or more counters on a permanent you control, it places twice that many on that permanent instead.
Maybe usefull. Dunno...
Life from the Loam -
Sorcery (R)
Return up to three target land cards from your graveyard to your hand.
Dredge 4
Another combo with itself card.
Vinelasher Kudzu -
Creature - Plant
Whenever a land comes into play under your control, put a +1/+1 counter on Vinelasher Kudzu.
1/1
I got a deck thats about putting lands into play... I suspect that if you on average puts 2~3 lands into play a turn this might get big...
Pariah's Shield -
Artifact - Equipment (R)
All damage that would be dealt to you is dealt to equipped creature instead.
Equip
Might be annoenying in a token deck vs. something with to little removel
Cloudstone Curio -
Artifact (R)
Whenever a nonartifact permanent comes into play under your control, you may return another permanent you control that shares a permanent type with it to its owner's hand.

"Hail to the speaker, hail to the knower; joy to he who has understood, delight to they who have listened." - Odin
Suppression Field: This one is kinda limited, so it will see little play. Loxodon Gatekeeper: Kismet with legs? May see limited play. Twilight Drover: Find ways to destroy tokens consistently and this will grow. Flickerform: Protection from Wrath of God? Sure. I'll take it. Remand: Much worse than Memory Lapse. Note to WotC: Don't reprint this...ever. Hunted Phantasm: And the cycle is complete. This one is not bad, actually. Eye of the Storm: This card can be dangerous... to me. Pass. Dream Leash: Costs 1 less than Confiscate and the only condition is it has to be tapped. Fine by me. Tunnel Vision: Too risky, regardless on who you play it on. Followed Footsteps: Hellooooo, Army of Darksteel. Necroplasm: Unfortunately 3 is a problem. Oh, well. C'est la vie. Empty the Catacombs: Forget it. I don't want any cards that helps my opponent. Moonlight Bargain: It may be useful. Get cards you need at a price. I might play it. Sins of the Past: It's definitely worth having in your deck, depending on the cards. Hex: Destroy 6 creatures? Super. Exactly 6 creatures? Never mind. Blood Funnel: Better have a lot of creatures. Better yet, skip it. Reroute: Hmmm, Shunt for activated abilities. Useful. Breath of Fury: I hate it. There are better versions. Char: A red Psionic Blast? Okay. Golgari Grave-Troll: Now this creature is difficult to kill and stay killed. Doubling Season: This definitely has a lot of potential. Stay tuned. Life from the Loam: It might come in handy, especially having just dredged. Vinelasher Kudzu: If you play it early enough, it'll be big...if it stays alive that long. Chorus of the Conclave: I think this could have been better. Too overpriced. Bloodbond March: Turn all creatures into quasi-Myr Servitors? Sure, I'll play it. Woodwraith Corrupter: I'll stick with Natural Affinity, thank you. Brightflame: The more creatures, the more life you gain. I love it. Gotta have it. Razia's Purification: Not bad. Not bad at all. Choose, but choose wisely. Spectral Searchlight: Kill your opponent by mana burn? Doubtful. Pariah's Shield: Better than Pariah, at least. Well, it is. Put this on Phytohydra.... Cloudstone Curio: It depends: How many permanents with "comes-into-play" abilities do you have. Seriously, it does have potential. Nullstone Gargoyle: Counters your opponent's counterspell? Good. Counters your own? Not good. A 4/5 for 9? Forget it.

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
my take on the cards (there are some interesting gems in here for sure):
Suppression Field: as stated, an anti-Ravager card easily, which makes me wonder why it wasn't printed before? hurts the jitte alot too... very good for an uncommon
Loxodon Gatekeeper: kismet on a 2/3... pretty easy to remove a creature nowadays, but still pretty good... control players cringe... esp. with Hokori, Dust Drinker
Twilight Drover: very limited card, but rewards you for chump blocking with tokens... works really well with Meloku and the golgari more than it does with Selesnya...
Flickerform: expensive Flicker effect, but it triggers leave-play and come-into-play effects, plus keeps all the auras attached to it... essentially all it loses is counters and equipment... little too expensive to see play IMO
Remand: don't know what to make of this card... seems like a bad draw spell or an even worse counter spell... i hate it...:\
Hunted Phantasm: Pretty solid 3-drop for blue... will see play with Meloku, since its trading a 1/1 for a land, and keeping a 5-turn clock on the board is always nice...
Eye of the Storm: Seems like red would have liked a piece of this card... now since it removes the spell from the game (and the stack), it should counter the spell, right? even so, it can still get replayed from its effect... oh, and allows lots of counter spells for playing a mana leak on turn 12 or so... still crap tho...
Dream Leash: Persuasion didn't make it into 9th, so they give us one that has a tiny drawback and allow us to take any permanent? sign me up!
Tunnel Vision: hurts them for playing 1-ofs, but still seems like utter trash b/c of mana cost... couldn't lower it any more with such a powerful effect, but still...
Followed Footsteps: Eternal Witness, we hardly knew ye... this thing is amazing IMO... killing the creature isn't too hard to do, but in the right deck (or against it ), this could be the win condition... or even a delayed legend killer...
Necroplasm: A Wave of Terror on a beatstick? sure, it can kill itself once it becomes a 4/4, but that's what the Golgari Guildmage is for (or battlegrowth in extended), plus it recurs too... me likey a lot!!
Empty the Catacombs: bleh... mass Raise Dead for both players? if you really need the creatures, or against reanimator sure, but still... waste of rare slot IMO...
Moonlight Bargain: MBC will like this card... trading life for specific cards, or making sure your reanimator target get in the grave... at instant speed, this one will see play...
Sins of the Past: Overcosted one-shot of Yawgmoth's Will seems like a combo piece to me more than a knock-off of the will... don't think it will shine in the eyes of non-Johnnies...
Hex: The latest attempt at a black wrath is actually interesting... costs more, and doesn't destroy anything you don't want it to... another MBC possibility...
Blood Funnel: with recursion and the right cards, this card could be a sac engine decks looking to play Savra, Queen of the Golgari needs, plus combos nicely with Hex, turning it into a 6-for-2 that costs Wrath mana...
Reroute: a limited trick more-or-less, but since it replaces itself, could be pretty good against a Cleansing Beam or a Wokec Embermage... useless in constructed...
Breath of Fury: block's usual recur-combat card... this one is pretty risky, but pretty good with the right situation... still too situational to see play...
Golgari Grave-Troll: shouldn't this be black? still, very good in a deck built around dredge, and even his dredge ability makes him even better - not because he recurs, but he also fills the graveyard too...
Vinelasher Kudzu: pretty decent in green, who gets lands like there's no tomorrow (i wish there was no tomorrow...)... don't think it will see much play, but it is still a strong card nonetheless...
Chorus of the Conclave: so... convoking guys can be free, but i can make them bigger by paying its mana cost anyways? not bad! forestwalk is not too shabby, since green is in every deck nowadays (UG control, MGA, Tooth and Nail even used green mana!)... too pricy, so i don't think it will see much play...
Bloodbond March: Strong enchantment, especially with all the sac effects everywhere... I have a Nantuko Husk and Netherborn Phalanx in play... I play another one, sacrifice the phalanx, and make each opponent lose 2 life per creature? SWEEEET!
Woodwraith Corruptor: Pretty mana-intensive, but turns your lands into beat-sticks... it's not too tiny either... just hope you don't turn ALL of your lands into beat-sticks against a red player, or else Wildfire = Scoopage...
Brightflame: The obligatory X damage red spell with a twist: Radiance, white and life gain... 5 mana to do 1 damage to a creature and hope they have others out that share a colour seems very mana intensive in a weenie-style guild, but the pieces have begun for a possible control style deck, so it could wipe board... too mana intensive even then...
Razia's Purification: A splash for red to make Cataclysm a little better? another control piece, and its very strong... me likey
Spectral Searchlight: strictly better than Darsteel Ingot for mana? sure, the ingot is indestructable, but this can ping players for 1 if they can't use the mana during their end steps, draw phases or upkeeps... so its also strictly better than Rod of Ruin and Granite Shard, provided they can't use the mana (draft worthy only IMO)
Pariah's Shield: colourless, overcosted Pariah? not bad... likes Phytohydra... like they knew we wanted pariah back for it...
Cloudstone Curio: Eternal Witness really wanted to abuse this card... turns a 4-card infinite mana combo (with 2 x Witness, Echoing Truth and Rude/harvest) into... a 4-card infinite mana combo (with 2 x Witness, Rude/Harvest and this), but this needs less runs through the loop (and therefore less mana) to get infinite (10 for the new one, 12 for the old one...), plus each loop nets u another card, since both witnesses don't need to take combo pieces... but since not in T2, pick any other CIP ability that is abusable, and run with it...
Nullstone Gargoyle: nice ability, nice size, but since you scroll down, the mana cost is what you see first, and since its , the rest of the card must be bah-roken or else you look away disappointed... this is decent, but not bah-roken, so it looks worse than it is...

who is the one that is supposed to watch the one that is supposed to watch the other one?
-a great mind
Remand - 1U
Instant (U)
Counter target spell. If you do, return that spell card to its owner's hand.
Draw a card.
This would be so much fun to play vs Red after they've used a Seething Song or Mana Seism to power out an early Arc Slogger.
Tunnel Vision - 5U
Sorcery (R)
Name a card. Target player reveals cards from the top of his or her library until the named card is revealed. If it is, that player puts the rest of the revealed cards into his or her graveyard and puts the named card on top of his or her library. Otherwise, the player shuffles his or her library.
Hinder a spell to the bottom of a library and then Tunnel Traumatize! Mill is certainly being pushed in this set. The tension between B/G Dredge and U/B Dimir mill may actually allow mill to be viable in draft when those archetypes face off.
Empty the Catacombs - 3B
Sorcery (R)
Each player returns all creature cards from his or her graveyard to his or her hand.
You just know there is going to be a janky casual combo deck with this and Myojin of Life's Web
Hex - 4BB
Sorcery (R)
Destroy six target creatures.
I don't now the rules very well. I assume you have to have six targets before you can play this. If someone sacrifices a creature that is targeted in response would this spell be countered?
Blood Funnel - 1B
Enchantment (R)
Noncreature spells you play cost less to play.
Whenever you play a noncreature spell, counter that spell unless you sacrifice a creature.
With cards like Death Denied and all the token makers this won't be so hard to pull off.
Golgari Grave-Troll - 4G
Creature - Skeleton Troll (R)
Golgari Grave-Troll comes into play with a +1/+1 counter on it for each creature card in your graveyard. 1, Remove a +1/+1 counter from Golgari Grave-Troll: Regenerate Golgari Grave-Troll.
Dredge 6

More Traumatize fodder. Add Mortivore and and the Dredge mechanic and WOTC has already built us a deck.
Bloodbond March - 2BG
Enchantment (R)
Whenever a creature spell is played, each player returns all cards with the same name as that spell from his or her graveyard to play.
Can you say Gifts Ungiven?
Nullstone Gargoyle - 9
Artifact Creature - Gargoyle (R)
Flying
Whenever the first noncreature spell each turn is played, counter that spell.
4/5
Yeah! Another 9cc for Grozoth, the Timmy Tutor
Grozoth - :6mana::symu::symu::symu:
Creature - Leviathan (R)
Defender (This creature can't attack.)
When Grozoth comes into play, you may search your library for any number of cards that have converted mana cost 9, reveal them, and put them into your hand. If you do, shuffle your library.

Destroy six target creatures.
I don't now the rules very well. I assume you have to have six targets before you can play this. If someone sacrifices a creature that is targeted in response would this spell be countered? You must have six targets when costs are paid, however, it's only countered if all targets become illegal on resolution.

Enchantment (R)
Whenever a creature spell is played, each player returns all cards with the same name as that spell from his or her graveyard to play.
Can you say Gifts Ungiven?
Maybe I misunderstood what you meant but gifts searches for things with different names.
Great to see that the spoiler is finally finished. Two weeks before the Pre-release even, much better than the CBS rumor season.Onto the Cards!
Too much stuff to comment on, but some of that stuff caught my eyes:
Spectral Spotlight- Glad they finally printed this. I just always thought that when they did it would be a red card that added red mana to both players pools at the same time.
Corus of the Conclave- The last of the leaders. Question: Can it pump itself? That'll probably get answered in the FAQ.
Vinelsh kudzu- This card is a Jonny/Timmy/Spike card. It has the brute force to win, the comboness to be cool, and the ability to get huge. Check this out:
Turn 1:Forest, BoP/Llanowar Elves
Turn 2:Forest, Vinelash Kudzu
Turn 3:Forest, Vernal Bloom/Heartbeat of Spring, Attack(18)
Turn 4:Forest, New Frontiers for 8, Attack (8)
Turn 5:Smash for the win.
Everything that can be said about most of these cards has been said.
Except this one:
Life from the Loam - :1mana::symg:
Sorcery (R)
Return up to three target land cards from your graveyard to your hand.
Dredge 4
You do realize that this almost single handedly re-enables the urzatron right? I figure that in three or four turns of drawing all the lands in the top 4 cards* of your library that you will have pretty much completed the set. Not to mention putting many juicy targets for dredge or reanimation into your graveyard.
athelred
* If you wonder how this works then consider the following
Turn 2 : Cast this with 0 targets.
Turn 3 : Dredge it, and cast it targeting any lands that you just dredged.
turns 4-whatever : Repeat turn three using the cards in your hand as control elements, or drawing other cards as needed. Combie with Top to carefully choose if you need any of the top three cards or not. Complete the urzatron and do something unfortunate to your opponent.
Suppression Field - comes down quick, less vulnerable than Matrix and such, nice hoser.
Loxodon Gatekeeper - Kismet would be so much better if it could smack you...oh, hey look!
Twilight Drover - Slide already has Decree of Justice, but this is interesting.
Flickerform - Flicker on command is interesting (especially if the previous card is out), and another "let's try to make Auras better" attempt.
Remand - Interesting if your opponent is tapped out or you just need to stop that spell RIGHT NOW, but otherwise, too limited or just a cantrip.
Hunted Phantasm - not bad at all, and the dorks can't do much.
Eye of the Storm - Thing is, unless you have a lot of mana, you're probably going to be in trouble if your opponent has some burn etc. to toss at you.
Dream Leash - Practically Confiscate if you have a good tapper...better in some cases, worse in others.
Tunnel Vision - Aptly named. Expensive, but it can find an answer or mill your opponent some good.
Followed Footsteps - expensive, but cool. Sort of like Dance of Many. I'm still waiting for a Displacer Beast knockoff though!
Necroplasm - dork killer until it blows itself up, but you can play around by adding or removing counters. And it dredges to do it again and again again.
Empty the Catacombs - sure as heck isn't living death, but still interesting.
Moonlight Bargain - Excellent counterpart to Gifts.
Sins of the Past - More like Recoup than Will. With putting stuff in the yard it's probably good enough.
Hex - 'up to' would help, but still usable.
Blood Funnel - Interesting, and it screams "hey, cast a token spell!".
Reroute - Limited, cantrip.
Breath of Fury - Anything with this on becomes a lightning rod...
Still, an unblocked dork or trampler becomes much more dangerous with this bad boy.
Char - Solid if not spectacular, but it doesn't have the coolness of the old blast.
Golgari Grave-Troll - mmm, regenerating fat. oh and it Dredges too!
Doubling Season - Wabbit Season! Duck Season! thank goodness this isn't 1G or we'd have evil Green Rangers, er Ravagers.
Life from the Loam - Interesting...although I don't think you'd really need to recur it much.
Vinelasher Kudzu - Steady little beater, and might be fun with Exploration.
Chorus of the Conclave - Expensive as heck, but the idea is nice.
Bloodbond March - Interesting way to regain stuff.
Woodwraith Corrupter - ok creature, turning lands into monsters is nice.
Brightflame - Massacres a small army, not good against anything else.
Razia's Purification - What is it with these legendary angels and their need to make things go boom?
Spectral Searchlight - I guess this is for team formats...
Pariah's Shield - Nice idea, but too expensive.
Cloudstone Curio - There would certainly be some opportunity for crazy stuff if it worked with other artifacts. As is, it's ok for 187s but that's about it.
Nullstone Gargoyle - Not much chances to break symmetry and could be a bit bigger for the cost.
Eye of the Storm Enchantment Whenever a player plays an instant or sorcery card, remove it from the game. Then that player copies each instant or sorcery card removed from the game with Eye of the Storm. For each copy, the player may play the copy without paying its mana cost.
Okay, I just want to say this : This plus Cunning Wish or Burning Wish is just so amazing. Sure, rector gets this into play fast, but so does Show and Tell, and it is in color.
There's just so many ways to abuse this, it's not even funny, and nobody (as far as I can tell) has mentioned that you copy your opponent's effects, too. Let's say your opponent gets a head start by casting something:
You get a force of will, two misdirections, 4 fireblasts, and eight lightning bolts to do with what you will. Seems like you should be able to house your opponent.
First I would like to say that all of these cards are impressive, and finally show us all the power that we hadn't yet seen in this set.

Enchantment - Aura (R)
Enchant creature
At the beginning of your upkeep, put a creature token into play that's a copy of enchanted creature.
This card, however, stood out to me as being just incredible with another Ravnica card: Auratouched Mage. With these two cards (though you only need one of them to ever be in your hand) you can build up an army of enchanted 3/3s at an alarming rate. Despite all of the other amazing cards revealed in this list, this is probably the first combo deck I'm going to make.
Since that may have already been said and I don't want to have made a vacuous post, I will end by saying that Blood Funnel has really impressed me. Used with Hondon of Life's Web, or that creature that taps itself and another creature for a saproling this card can be amazing. I see it being used mostly in an aggro deck, making your removal even cheaper.
EDIT: I also wanted to add that Necroplasm is possibly the coolest card I have ever seen, and is great tech in control decks against white weenie. With Chisei (however you spell it), it can be set at one value indefinately.

WotC: you should've kept the same team that designed Ravnica - they had some sense of creativity. The Guildpact team appears to have the combined resourcefulness of three baboons, a plunger, and a broken coconut. Go team!
For anyone out there who thinks Hex is too conditional to be any good remember: your opponent doesn't have to have six creatures in play for it to be good. It can also read:
Hex 4BB
Sorcery
As an additional cost to play Hex sacrifice a creature.
Destroy 5 target creatures.
Which is still absurd card and board advantage. 1 card+Your worst creature for the opponent's 5 best.
of
Hex 4BB
Sorcery
Sacrifice two creatures. Destroy 4 target creatures.
Which is still 3 for 4 card advantage and can greatly swing board position.
First pick in limited. Good for constructed (Between expensive Black Wrath and cheap Plague Wind). Plus, it is insanely powerful in multiplayer, though it may earn you some enemies in non-team-based games.
OK so with all these huge mana costs and even huger effects the Urza-tron should continue to be successful in tournament decks.
the challenge is going to be to find the right combo of big stuff to finish it and small stuff to set up/hold things off until it's time to finish.
even though no-one seems to like the common guild-lands think of all this big late game stuff and how much mana you can get from the common guilds with things like twiddle and Ley druid, hmmm lay druid with freed from the real andDimir Aquaduct in play how much black mana you want?
will all these big mana decks be playable? it depends on how fast the weenie aggro decks are. so I guess first project is to test R/W and G/W for speed
I'm just loving this set,
GO GO Ravnica!

Although your opponents don't need six creatures, there need to be six creatures in play at the time. Otherwise, the spell does not have enough legal targets and cannot be played. The only place this will see play is in Golgari Control sideboard against Agrro and then only in Block. The Agrro player is not likely to play six creatures, but you (as the Golgari player) will be able to produce saprolings and blow them up in addition. This card can net a lot of tempo and card advantage, but it is too conditional. For draft, it is probably a 4-6 pick (maybe a little worse)because it is really expensive and conditional but can be a *** (possibly better).
A Damping Matrix spin-off...
Kismet on feet. Big friend of Hokori, to say the least.
Why not? Good for Selesnya decks...
Well..maybe for casual..
Another bad version of counterspell
Nice Hunted...4/6 unblockable...and 1/1s? You can deal with them anytime...
My head spins. This card is plainly asking for a deck around it.
Too expensive, worse and conditional Control Magic
What the...?
Incredible with fatties...
This could be also easily abused if you know how.
What the....? #2
Black Control will like this card.
What the....? #3
Perfect name for a nice card.
In black deck with lots of creatures...and recursion...pardon, did you say Golgari?
Ahemm....useless red card drawing?
Boros like this. And if I understand it well....with 3 critters you can attack with 3, then with 2, then with 1..?
Psionic Blast....in red.
Nice card with cool creature type.
With Saprolings....crazy endgame card for Golgari
What the...? #4
Nice. Really needs trample.

At least once I have foretold something right !!!
Could be useful in Golgari decks.
Making a forest into 4/4 4ever? Gimme that!
Crazy card for Boros! THE finisher.
Ahemm....Cataclysm?
What the...? #5
Pariah, obviously.
Filler.
Good name. Good type. Good ability...WHY 9 MANA?

Enchantment (R)
Whenever a creature spell is played, each player returns all cards with the same name as that spell from his or her graveyard to play.
I like the concept of this, and I can see someone running a dredging G/B Relentless rats deck around it.
Is it just me or does woodwraith Corrupter not have an until end of turn clause? (a great boon for casual corrupters...)
And, someone predicted early on that a darksteel ingot-esque card would NOT be printed in RAV. They seemed quite adamant about it. Seems they're wrong, now.
Sorcery (R)
Destroy six target creatures.
Really, it's not the name that should make you laugh. This card is the Prince of Darkness.
Hex = 6
4BB = 6
Kills = 6 target creatures.
I believe I've made my point. And they say black isn't evil in R&D.
-runs away screaming as 15,000,000 fundamentalists of a certain religion use this post to "prove" that Magic is under the influence of dark, religion specific forces-
Context - was reponse to this.
Because Every Set is Terrible!
Don't forget that the card can be described in 6 words: Hex, sorcery, destroy six target creatures.

Look at the top five cards of your library. For each card, put that card into your graveyard unless you pay 2 life. Then put the rest into your hand.
Surpression Field - good for weenie decks
Loxodon Gatekeeper - Maybe the old boring lock decks return... boo
Twilight Dover - very cute. nice mechanic.
Hunted Phantasm - not as bad as the horror, still pretty bad
Eye of the Storm - Very weird. And I like it.
Dreamleash - Seems overcosted. Don't think it's tourney worthy
Tunnel Vision - this seems really good in limited, especially with those cards :put target card from their graveyard on the bottom of their library. WOOSH! library milled.
Followed Footsteps - Another very weird card. There has to be a way to break it.
Necroplasm - Meh, not extremely good. Will take a long time before it's all dead and gone. And unlike Harbinger, does nothing until that time to those creatures
Empty the Catacombs - Not very good IMO.
Hex - funny flavor, bad card
Blood Funnel - combo piece maybe, otherwise bad.
Reroute - SB card
Breath of Fury - Simply amazing.
It's rare though
Vinelasher Kudzu - Could be okay if green beats is coming back to the tourney scene.
Chorus of the Conclave - nice in limited, not very good elsewhere
Bloodbond March - Works like a charm with dredge.
This great banner was made by Topher
Whenever a nonartifact permanent comes into play under your control, you may return another permanent you control that shares a permanent type with it to its owner's hand.
comes.into.play.dec (I suppose permanent type is super type?)
casual deck? sixth turn, entomb dragonstorm then play sins of the past, dragonstorm? ooh lala! perhaps even, gasp, mind's desire?!
Hex!?!? WTF!
Forget it.
Char: Psionic Blast anyone?
Golgari Grave-Troll: shouldn't this be black? still, very good in a deck built around dredge, and even his dredge ability makes him even better - not because he recurs, but he also fills the graveyard too...
Doubling Season: bleh...
Life from the Loam: too many lands in the 'yard from dredging? return them! don't want to play a card that was put in that does essentially the same thing but with a more fragile base? play this! (i know the keeper only returns basic lands... maybe this is better?)
Banner and Avatar made by me: a rookie photoshopper
The card that does so much that it becomes disadvatagous.
Char = possibly Psionic Blast, damage to you and them?
They're really pushing the counter the first spell ability, I didn't think they'd reprint something like that after the Erayo abuse.
-a great mind
Awesome banner by R & Doom
Dredge 6
0/0
More Traumatize fodder. Add Mortivore and and the Dredge mechanic and WOTC has already built us a deck.
Bloodbond March - 2BG
Enchantment (R)
Whenever a creature spell is played, each player returns all cards with the same name as that spell from his or her graveyard to play.
Can you say Gifts Ungiven?
Nullstone Gargoyle - 9
Artifact Creature - Gargoyle (R)
Flying
Whenever the first noncreature spell each turn is played, counter that spell.
4/5
Yeah! Another 9cc for Grozoth, the Timmy Tutor
Grozoth - :6mana::symu::symu::symu:
Creature - Leviathan (R)
Defender (This creature can't attack.)
When Grozoth comes into play, you may search your library for any number of cards that have converted mana cost 9, reveal them, and put them into your hand. If you do, shuffle your library.
:4mana:: Grozoth loses defender until end of turn.
Transmute :1mana::symu::symu: (:1mana::symu::symu:, Discard this card: Search your library for a card with the same converted mana cost as this card, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your library. Play only as a sorcery.)
9/9
Sorcery (R)
Destroy six target creatures.
I don't now the rules very well. I assume you have to have six targets before you can play this. If someone sacrifices a creature that is targeted in response would this spell be countered? You must have six targets when costs are paid, however, it's only countered if all targets become illegal on resolution.
Maybe I misunderstood what you meant but gifts searches for things with different names.
-Elfy :cyborg:
I like this card
Loxodon Gatekeeper - Wow, looks like they left the white goodies to the end, right? This is awesome!
Twilight Drover - - Cute. If only it had flying...
Flickerform - If this costed W and activated at WW, maybe. This way, no.
Remand - This might prove surprisingly effective. Anyone else thinks we have too many counterspells in this set?
Hunted Phantasm - Better than I expected!!
Eye of the Storm - Neat but casual.
Dream Leash - Okay.
Tunnel Vision - Nice one! This is great with cards that put things on the bottom of the library.
Followed Footsteps - Wow!!! This should prove VERY strong, especially since you can enchant other people's critters.
Necroplasm - Probably the best mono-black rare in the set.
Empty the Catacombs - Meh, but fine.
Moonlight Bargain - Instant! I love it!
Sins of the Past - Not gonna see play IMO.
Hex - Decimate syndrom. Nice idea anyway, and will probably be good against hordes of tokens.
Blood Funnel - Cool, but not tournament worthy.
Reroute - Nice.
Breath of Fury - Something tells me this is abuseable.
Char - Take this, your blue-burn speculators.
Golgari Grave-Troll - Meh.
Doubling Season - Cool, but to expensive.
Life from the Loam - A rare? Looks nice anyway.
Vinelasher Kudzu - Woot.... this has some serious potential!
Chorus of the Conclave - Could cost less, no doubt about that. Cool, but won't see competitive play.
Bloodbond March - Nice!
Woodwraith Corrupter - Kind of a boring one.
Brightflame - Wow... too expensive! This should have costed XRRW.
Razia's Purification - Make no mistake, this WILL se play. Yeah, six mana is a lot more than four, but the effect is too powerful to ignore.
Spectral Searchlight - Meh.
Pariah's Shield - Hey, isn't therea very pariah-ble red card in the set?!?
Cloudstone Curio - One of those Johnny cards. nice.
Nullstone Gargoyle - toooooooooooooo expensive.
Thanks, R_E and source! That was a very exciting final (almost?) batch!
EDIT:
Ah Max, how could the leader of the R/W horde forget about mighty Rout?!?

Okay, I just want to say this : This plus Cunning Wish or Burning Wish is just so amazing. Sure, rector gets this into play fast, but so does Show and Tell, and it is in color.
There's just so many ways to abuse this, it's not even funny, and nobody (as far as I can tell) has mentioned that you copy your opponent's effects, too. Let's say your opponent gets a head start by casting something:
Lightning Bolt , Lightning Bolt , Fireblast against you (hoping to scoop):
you, on the stack add a misdirection (removing a card), and a force of will .
I believe, at this point, is how things go.
You get a force of will, two misdirections, 4 fireblasts, and eight lightning bolts to do with what you will. Seems like you should be able to house your opponent.
/Just sayin'
Hex 4BB
3CB and 4CB5CB!the challenge is going to be to find the right combo of big stuff to finish it and small stuff to set up/hold things off until it's time to finish.
even though no-one seems to like the common guild-lands think of all this big late game stuff and how much mana you can get from the common guilds with things like twiddle and Ley druid, hmmm lay druid with freed from the real andDimir Aquaduct in play how much black mana you want?
will all these big mana decks be playable? it depends on how fast the weenie aggro decks are. so I guess first project is to test R/W and G/W for speed
I'm just loving this set,
GO GO Ravnica!
W Mangara's Lion
WBRG Kills Bugs Dead
UR Stitching Machine
WR Toolbox of the Sun
BUG Bad Choices Gifts
WUR When Cogs Attack!
URW Big Brother bounce
WU Phasing Doesn't Suck! (that much)
BU Funeral March Control (RIP-rules update fatality)
WB Seraph and Sengir Love Ferral's Mantle
