oh my god, that thing is sick, even with only a puny millstone. Thank god this won't be out during mirrodin block, or else Mesmeric orb would totally dominate.

Maybe could work in a GBU deck *gasp* sorry... All the wonderful colour fixing means, you can cross over guilds quite easily. GBU will let you mill yourself early game, then switch to opponents deck when you get this guy out...
I guess they are going to errata this one. Even if the ability only triggers once per effect, it is still absolutely awesome! Red is going to have to do some serious commitment to kill this creature. And then you can use instant effects also, like a dark banishing to get a 2-1 card advantage! I guess I better get me 4 of these ASAP!
I don't think it's smart to get 4 of the chase card that possibly may suck horribly right when the set first comes out.
I'm not sure this is as broken as we all think. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for it to be.. but the wording on the card is "whenever a card is put into an opponent's graveyard," not "for each card that is put into an opponent's graveyard." With the current wording, wouldn't it only trigger once if a bunch of cards went to the graveyard simultaneously (Traumatize, mill for 10)..?
Just curious. I'm not a huge rules guru, but I got the impression that's how it would work. Once again, though, I'd love to be wrong..
This is certainly good, one of the best creatures in the set so far, but for the people saying it will require banning/errata, I have to disagree. It's still a 5 casting cost creature, and assuming you play it turn 4 or 5, your opponant will have ample opportunities to deal with it. I also disagree with pairing it with a milling strategy, since it pulls your deck in too many directions. If you're playing this card, then you want to win through damage, and thus risk dead draws getting "mill 10" or traumatize without this guy, although I could easily see a g/b/u deck that wants to mill itself to take advantage of dredge and reclaim, and then shifts gears when it gets this guy out. It's a good finisher, but between Putrefy, Keiga, Wrath, Rend Flesh etc I don't see it being overpowered, just very powerful.
Hunted Troll, Hunted Dragon, Hunted Llamasu. Neither is part of the eastern european ...whatever you may call it...fairy tales? Fantasy? Mythology? At least not a majorpart...afaik.
about the creature...it is sick.Milling and stuff is fun, but it's a johnny combo, and those are seldom very successful ( yeah, flame me...butIshould know, being part johnny )... the spike way to abuse it is finisher for B/G with mass and spot removal, maybe combined with discard. Given that people always will lose cards, this one automatically willgrow. If people dont lose cards, they don't play them ( due to Your Putrify, Edicts, other removal ), and that means this guy can fly through. Morever, opponents tend not to have many fliers around, and actually none Putrify wouldn't instantly nail. So You ought to have made it a 4/4 beforeYou attack. 4/4 growing and flying for 5 is more than solid.
finally, don't nail me on that one, since I never was a rules expert, but shouldn't burn spells hoping to nail this one have to be 4 damage or greater? Would the burnspell be put into graveyard after or before the damage resolves, and would the critter die due to a SBE or get his counter? Dunno about this one.
oh well, it'sgood enough as it is.

The burn spell would go to the graveyard as part of its resolution, and this guy would die as a SBE before his ability would trigger.
I have to agree with the "broken" theory. There has to be something wrong about our info on this guy. I bet it is Defender. That would be flavorful. Flying is just outrageous, but tolerable if Defender.
That thing is insane... but still, even if he grows and grows he's not invencible, you still throw something like cruel edict if its standing there alone (yeah a big guy alone on a G/B deck... but still may happen), return it to his owner hand or remove it from play. And yes... why a plant zombie is flying?
I am just so glad that milling is a blue ability...
Also, is it just me or is the process of zombifying tied to the local sewer-flora? Another zombie plant rises up to fight for the golgari. Somehow I'm not feeling quite at ease with that guild... creepy.
wow if it sees print exaclty as we see it, its quite powerful. 5 mana seems cheap. sweet. now if only it had dredge!!! then it would be much too pwerful, or cost somethign stupid like 7 mana.
I'm going to go with that the thing has defender with it being a plant. Granted there were treefolk but this looks to be like a flying reanimated Audry II and that just sounds beyond goofy and into the UN- realm. If this thing can swing though then ouch... barokenenen. It's terror proof (wait we don't get that anymore, feh), burn turns the thing into a pseudo fungasaur. I honestly think wall. But then again... if it was just a wall, it would have "can block as though as it had flying" clause as it seems to be usual for greenies.
and as for this:
Dear dear dear, this thing is a beating and a half. I'm still surprised to see the plant zombies though =/
I don't suppose someone could go as far as to call it the new 'Tog could they
Nevar! Tog would eat this for breakfast and then some ;p Cause he's well.. he's the tog! Psychatog fears nothing, it's the Vin Diesel of magic cards.
I don't care at all about the flavor, i think its just gonna be sweet. hehe. The play instants or sorceriies? u get a +1/+1 counter. They sac a permanent? u get a +1/+1 counter. U mill em for 10 u get 10 +1/+1 counters!

now begins the thousand years of REIGN OF BLOOD!
UB = +10/+10 !!!
R&D made a pact with me ... hehe
Our lord is here!
If so, an absoult auto must for the Hunted Troll + Night of Souls Betreyal Mini Combo on my post Mirr Rock!!!
no, it says "whenever a card..." and a token is not a card
1) You have duals
2) Green already have a card search for plain, island, swamp and mountain. (Remember)
3) BoP
4) Commons artifact fixes (Signet)
And Kamigawa helps a lot with Sakura/Kodama´s Reach. To complete, Nine Edition has painlands!
Aff, I can´t believe how powerful this card can be!
