My assessment is that the commons are really good for commons, and the rares really suck for rares. Aside from Arashi, Maro, and the Descendant of Maro, and that 5/4 trampler, all of these rares are WAY too mana costly for their ability.
The Green Kirin is BY FAR the worst Kirin, and cost 7 mana! The most costly one too! I think every green player would have settled for trample and a cost of 5 like the blue one, which also has the awesomely creative ability that green's lacks.
The green epic spell? The only one that costs more than 6, and the weakest one of the epics. The only one which has a variable effect that could amount to just 1 1/1 creature per turn (the black ability to remove just 1 card from an opponent's library for 6 mana is amazing), but 1/1 creatures? Come on! Without any way to buff them up aside from the one green channeler that can do that, and a couple of 1/1s aren't going to cut it. Besides, there are faster ways of getting a swarm of 1/1s down. It's called White Weenie. Also, it's going to be awefully tough to get a large hand size when you cast this spell since the cost is so frakking high. You need to empty your hand to just to pay the cost, there's no room for a sweep spell in response if you want to play this card quickly. Utterly useless.
R&D really does hate green. Some of those rares are really good though, and some of the commons kick butt as well.
peace

If reanimator ever makes a comeback after the extended rotation, the 8/8 with the 1/1 counters would make a strong target (though it doesnt have haste)
