Bork, that's not a reason why you're guessing that way... it's just a guess!
a) Commentary on Hero's Demise, and
b) The reason why you're guessing as you're guessing. For example, "It sounds like an Artifact because 'barbs' are sharp pointy things".
Nevertheless, a few people have made correct guesses.

Hero's Demise CAN'T be a $10 block only card because the demand won't be there if it's block only to drive the price that high.

Well, Hero's Demise had to happen at some point in this block. too obvious not to. I'd actually don't think it's particularly good. I'd have to try it but I kinda think I'd take any of the common removal (besides pull under) from Chk over it. As for the rarity it's really narrow and narrow things tend to get put into the rare slot, no? besides, i don't think wizards would want a lot of these running around in draft. it goes against playing legends and i have to think they want legends played just like they pushed creatures back in OLS. I really don't think this will be worth anything. It seems too situaltional to be good.
as for Aura Barbs. is that last bit something to the effect of "each enchantment enchanting a creature deals 3 damage to that creature? enchantment removal is a bit out of flavor for red.
at any rate, no matter what Red decks can use this.
the hero's demise card is too limited to block only... well, it may gain a little use before ravinca comes out.

Unless there are some POTENT enchantments (the genju aren't enough IMHO) I HATE this card.
It's not like enchantments aren't bad enough, lets make an enchantment hoser.
Although that deck CAN be annoying, I don't see it being so powerful that it needs to hoser's in block (the white destroy all enchantments) and this...
Rats... go away for a few hours and you miss all the fun... Well, for what it's worth, I think it's just as well that Heroe's Demise is a rare, otherwise it would seriously de-fun-ize limited play!

will probably be taken as sideboard in limited when theres nothing better, to deal with hondens and genjus.
hmmm... first bring using enchantments back into vouge... then make a card that punishes you for playing them. they should have saved this for the Control/Alt/Delete block.

Weird card but a good reply to the Genju which are good enough to see play. I suspect that the Genju had already been created when this hoser was used to fill an empty card slot. So this is R&D's way of promoting creature enchantments.
Much as it looks like it would, this will probably not make a terribly big impact on Honden.dec. Why? In the 10-damage scenario, they are gaining that much back EVERY TURN. The only time this would be useful against Hondens is as a finisher, and too many of them have to be out to make this an efficient finisher. If you can deal 6 damage with it, you're probably already dead or well on the way.

Some wonder why I carry 8 decks on me. The answer? I get tired of being boarded against in casual games, and 90% of the players I meet can't beat a jank deck I made to be tokens for a serious one.
Come on... is it that bad? All it takes is the opponent to have a single enchant creature, and it would be an effective use for :symr:. Kill a weenie, destroy an enchantment, and slap the player for two damage. Or for the opponent to have 2 enchantments in play. Four damage for 3 mana isn't bad. And this is an instant... and arcane.
In many cases it would be a finisher. You've got 6 enchantments in play, hmmm? You're dead. Remember Price of Progress? That's only one mana cheaper, and against some decks, Aura Barbs would do more damage (and it's arcane and can kill creatures sometimes to boot).
I think people are underestimating it.
And yeah, Here's Demise isn't very good, and shouldn't be rare. An uncommon sorcery would have been fine at that cost, and still not played all that much.
Yeah, i agree with R_E. The aura barbs seem like a sideboard card, at least in block. Either that or it will make people not play enchantments knowing how easily they can be destroyed by this in an aggro red deck. I know it may not now seem like that good of a card, but it could definitely become a key card in a matchup against some enchantment based deck, or just a deck with several enchantments in it.
