the second one from the left is pretty cool.
I wonder what it is,it looks pretty big.
I'm hoping it's part of a cycle.
I'm hoping that they're a cycle also... the patrons, i dont like the idea of TWO cycles of large, probably unplayable cards... lol well, in t2 at least.

Feuerdrache says: she's a negroe!
1st: The composition of the picture is very green, but the samurai looks to be black. I'm leaning Green here.
2nd: This doesn't look like a patron or a genju. You can see an army cowering in the bottom right corner of the pic, which I wouldn't excpet from a 3/2 or from the patron of the subtle Soratami. Probably something completely new.
3rd: This card has a lot of subtle coloring in it, something I would expect far more from a blue card than a black one.
4th: Grene Genju. You can see in the bottom left corner the vines breaking off, like it's pulling away from the ground.
5th: Toshi
6th: Blue ninja
7th: Ogre
8th: Ink Eyes
9th: Patron of the Nezumi. Look at those teeth.
10th: Yojimbo!
2nd: This doesn't look like a patron or a genju. You can see an army cowering in the bottom right corner of the pic, which I wouldn't excpet from a 3/2 or from the patron of the subtle Soratami. Probably something completely new.

4th: Grene Genju. You can see in the bottom left corner the vines breaking off, like it's pulling away from the ground.
2. I agree about it not being a genju, but size isnt always a indication of power. I still say that it COULD be the patron, what with whats comming out of his mouth.... Earth/ground.... maybe a referene to its ability? And if this thing has the ability to move LAND im sure it must be partially big....
3. Subtle? Yes. BUT this card also has the Purplish haze that is ALWAYS associated with the Black creatues. And One cannot dismiss the general FEEL the card gives off, like an assassin.
4. I agree its a genju, the only thing leading me to believe it is the WHITE one, is the simple presence of the large mills, Mills are VERY rarely found in the forest. An example would be the MM plains in which mills are quite prominant, but i concede te point is could be green....

yes.. the 4th one seems to be the green genju.. but IMHO looks like a remake of strength of the cedars.. it's way too much look alike...

Samurai Dude: Maybe a green samurai. Some people have said it's black because of rib cage on chest, but thoses aren't ribs. Ribs don't grow into one another. They're branches. Further evidence of being green. Could be a monk, but katana points toward samurai.
Serpent: Hmm, it definately fits the description of O-Kagachi, but I'm still not sure of it. Definately not Patron of Soratami because it in no way resembles moonfolk, and isn't genju because it isn't animating an island.
Ninja: Ninja from box of Ninjutsu theme deck. Not much can be speculated at this point.
Green Spirit: Green genju. Animating a forest into a large spirit.
Toshi: 'Nuff said.
Row 2
Ninja: Blue ninja legend, story will be posted on wotc betrayers site.
Ogre: Ogre standing in frint of Shinka? Definately Hidetsugu.
Rat Ninja: Ink-Eyes the Desecrator, story posted on wotc betrayers site. May have reanimation saboteur ability.
Black Spirit: Patron of Nezumi, shows similarity to a rat including nose and tail
<---had to use that smiley, just cuz it's awesome.
Cool looking art! Hopefully Betrayers will add a lot to all the pieces of constructed; so far, it's looking good. Now, if only we got a good blue draw spell...:P
Most of them we're seen before, but these are better quality, pretty sure that the 4th in the second line is patron of the nezumi, wonder what it could do.
1st: The composition of the picture is very green, but the samurai looks to be black. I'm leaning Green here.

Well I agree mostly but here is my take:
1st: This is will problay be a human warrior or something. I think it will be balck but may be green.
2nd: This one interests me alot. It will problay be a huge blue flyer but what I do not know. One of the Kami gods maybe? Who knows but I think it is the coolest of all the pics. Arrgant wurm reprint:smile2:
3rd: Black Nija I think-it, maybe Blue
4th: Grene Genju is possible. Kodama is also. But my first impression before reading anyone esle's was that it was a land. A non-basic land ovbiously. Also notice the flying thing around it. It is not a spirt, if anything it looks more like a ornithopter. I just copied it to A picture editor and and zoomed in and have decided they may be kites.
5th: Toshi
6th: Blue Rare ninja
7th: Ogre or Demon
8th: Ink Eyes
9th: Patron of the Nezumi. Look at those teeth.
10th: Kitsune Warrior Tpye I think.
Sorry if this was already mentioned since i don't feel like slogging through 50 some posts but i would bet that the fourth one on the first set is the green enchant land 4/4. All the arts look good though.
correct me if i'm wrong but.. glasskites are blue only right? i mean.. kira is blue and all the others iirc i've seen are blue

the pictures look really good. the upshot to having a Japanese-themed block is that the art is much better than from previous blocks, i guess. i mean, mirrodin was a pretty cool theme, but the art was terrible.
mirrodin= pure dooky... heir were a few good cards from the block: DC, Nexus, KCI stuff... but the deck that came from it were horrendus (minous KCI... brilliant deck) I LOATHED that block... but ya, the art and everything about this block so far is looking damn good.

PS: Sorry about the thread title. My 2 1/2 year old was watching "The Wiggles" all day today and I've got that "Fruit Salad" song stuck in my head. Anyone got a rocket launcher?

a freind of mine wrote a screen play that was remarkably disturbing so dont read lower then this if you dont want to vomit all over your monitor.
it started out with this guy sitting naked in a beanbag chair fliping through the porn channels...watched one for about 30seconds..then went to thbe wiggles and a while later he wakes up in is now white bean bag chair
told you it was creepy
i mean really..i thought she was not crazy before i read that
if you are ever being chased by a police dog, try not to run through a tunnel, then over a little see-saw, then jump through a ring of fire. theyre trained for that
The second overall pic (1st post, 2nd pic) is Final Judgement, or at least that's what it says in the credit for the SCRYE cover art, which is that image.
Notice the circled head. Now also notice the apparent arms with which the creature is picking itself up with. It seems clear enough, to me at least, that this is the Green Genju.
Is it just me, or does the second one resemble the description of O-Kagachi? It's a titanic multi-headed serpent...Of course, Maro just said that they would not print an O-Kagachi card, so I guess that proves me wrong, but it still looks quite like it.
