Both of these really seem playable, limited is going to become much more archetype based and much less good card based soon. I wonder how much sense that makes, but dont really care cause i understand it.
Basically i think these cards are both pretty kewl.

Instant - Arcane (U)
Destroy target attacking creature with power 3 or less.
I've been waiting for this card. The one thing I felt my block constructed Samurai deck lacked was an effective cheap removal spell. This fills the hole nicely. Could see some play outside of block.
Slumbering Tora

Artifact (R)
:2mana:, Discard a Spirit or Arcane card: Slumbering Tora becomes an X/X artifact creature until end of turn, where X is the discarded card's perverted mana cost.
Nice! Besides the obvious Myojin/Shoal uses it also provides for an instant creature when you're in a pinch.

How does this card interact w/ Shoals? All of the Shoals have a CMC of 2 and are rare... in fact, both the Shoals and Myojin are rare... in fact-er, this is rare. This card is very "Limited Only". At least that new Soulshift 8 creature has a use finally

I think what they meant was that this card interacts well with Shoals in that both cards like your deck to be packed full of high-CC cards. In Constructed, what does rarity matter? By your logic, the card is worse in Limited (which I feel it is). I think Tora is going to make a huge splash in KBC.

My response...es were specifically directed at limited because this card is too bad to be usable in standard.
1. Massive amounts of creature kill or bounce
2. Sacrificing of card advantage
3. Loading your decks with otherwise unusable cards
4. Mass of artifact kill
5. Entwine
I don't see what use this has in standard with the above being relevant.
Terashis Verdict is to power up White Weenie along with Hold the line and a bunch of other cards bc Wizards wants it playable and Thats whY Wrath is not gonna be in 9th Edition
I don't see what use this has in standard with the above being relevant.
My comments were directed more toward casual and block decks. I don't really know how you could assume I was talking about standard constructed at all.:confused2: I specifically mentioned block in the first portion of my comments. Who in they're right mind would build a Myojin/Shoal/Tora deck for constructed ?

I don't really know how you could assume I was talking about your post when I quoted KPDaily16 and was responding to what he said in that quote.
I don't think the Verdict will see play in standard. If you think about the creatures in standard, you come up w/:
1. Spirit Tokens
2. Lands
3. Creatures w/ 5-11 power
4. Creatures pumped by Cranial Plating
5. Creatures that can be sacrificed in response to Ravager
I can see it, maybe, having some kind of block application, though, assuming Samurai proove to be a strong enough tribe.

I assumed that since you replied to my post with a quote of my post, that naturally you were talking about...my post! Based upon your comment about this card being "limited only" I could only assume you thought I had implied the Tora was constructed worthy. No worries though.

??? Fwaaa ???
W/e... let's cut off discussion of who was quoting who here since I don't think it has any relevance to anything and it's just making my head hurt.
Anyway, yes, the Tora is Limited... but fodder in Limited. Standard... not even worth it.
In limited, Verdict seems ok, I suppose. In standard, not a chance. In block, it may have potential.
