RRWoods: Indomitable Will isn't the best, because you're going to be wanting to bounce your creatures.
I'm thinking that if a ninja deck is feasible, it's going to be blue-black. Nezumi Cutthroat and Soratami Cloudskater provide excellent evasion, and the soratami gives card-selection too (until Higure or Deep Hours can take over), and in type 2 (if ninjas are good enough), Aether Vial (if you have Higure) and Ornithopter help get your men through. Higure also makes ninjas like the bounce-ninja much more powerful. Also, Ink-Eyes is a ninja, and is likely to be powerful (story implies a reanimation ability, which would be very good if they manage to kill Higure).
Ninjitsu strikes me as a bizarre mechanic. I think I will reserve judgmenet on cards with it until I play with them. Nonetheless, if I understand this card correctly, it will be fun to use in limited and in casual standard decks.

Yes, but what do you do turn 1?
WW: Drop 2/2 or samurai or 1/1 flyer.
R/X: Frostling.
G/X: Hana Kami, Orochi mana fixer, uh...
Ninja needs an evasion 1 drop... or needs red to provide the burn so your ninja are unblocked.
Go casual ninja decks :D:D:D this will be the tech ^^

hmmm quite a fitting card methinks. 4 mana ninjitsu is about right. plus the ability to make ninjas unblockable. thats too cool. im happy with how this one turned out.
but didnt R_E say back when we first got ninja of the deep hours, that his source said all the ninjas were unplayable (or something to that effect) ???
so maybe we cant expect much else from other ninjas...
...including That Which Was Taken (man I wish that had a shorter name...).
How about T.W.Wa.T ?
But, to remain on subject, that card RAWKS! Blue is not usually my top color (more like next-to-last, actually), but if all the ninja triggers are that good, I might switch my current :symb::symu: build from "flying+gating+pump" to super sneaky ninja action!

yes, that's a pepsi manipulator - it taps for bubbly caffeinated fun!
Meh, I suppose it'll be fun for casual decks. Not too bad overall, just impatient I guess to see something of tournament quality that'll make me drool.
You attack with Higure and make him unblockable, First strike damage goes in, you search your library for a better ninja, and ninjutsu that one in to get its effect (ie kill/bounce creature, or more damage)
Mmm, that's a nice little trick. Speaking about block only, Akki Coalflinger seems like a good matchup since first strike will accomplish the same thing. A nice ninja/burn/coalfinger U/R deck could be quite fun.
Actually, i can see this guy and other ninja's being a big help for control. With control, your opponent won't have enough creatures to block with, so you don't have to worry too much. Smash with stalking stones, and suddenly, bam, you have a ninja? I can see ninjas being control's new butt buddy. Also, props to wizards for putting ninjas in the 2 colors with fear and flying. Man im going to have fun turning birdies and wandering ones and nerzumi cutthroats into ninja. TOKENS TOO.
Its fun card at least.. I will definitvly play it in my ninja deck

I love the ninja. In combination with other cards rumored such as Quash it could very well be competetive. I hope to see all those stupid netdecks fall to something more creative and fun to play. I think between blue and black they definitely have all of the proper tools to deal with the so-called "Tier 1" decks like T&N and Ravager, and still have the capability of forming a Ninja deck. I'm making a Lin-Kuei deck
mmm... Ninja Lord... wonder what Pre-con this thing will be in *hint hint* hey... don't give me that look... it could be.
but over all an intresting card... woulden't mind one or two...

i'm not sure how good they'll be in constructed yet but the ninja's are definitely shaping up to be a nice casual or maybe block deck. they even have a wonderful curve with mistblade shinobi(ninjitsu U), ninja of the deep hours(ninjitsu 1U), throught slitter(ninjitsu 2B) and now higure, the still wind(ninjitsu 2UU).
i don't think that Higure is anywhere near as insane as lin sivvi was but in a ninja deck it would really shine allowing ninjas already on the board to get multiple hits in as well as tutoring up whatever ninja you might need at the time. I think any ninja deck would almost have to be U/B so as to get the most out of the ninjas using cheap evasion creatures like nezumi cuthroat and soratami cloudskater to get the early ninjas through and then following up with Higure to make sure they keep getting through with maybe some disruption or tempo spells throw in IE. distress, rend flesh/spirit, hinder, thoughbind, consuming vortex etc. And that's only if your trying to make a block deck.
if you expand to type 2 you gain alot of better cards including my personal favorite ORNITHOPTER, imagine this: turn 1- land, ornithopter, turn 2 land, attack with ornithopter, ninjitsu out ninja of the deep hours to draw a card, ornithopter again, turn 3- attack with ornithopter(and ninja if it won't die), ninjitsu out throught slitter to kill a ravager(or whatever), ornithopter again. I'm not saying its a great deck concept but i definitely think its worth trying out especially if we get any more good ninjas.
if only there were a decent way to get firststriking ninjas...
stack the damage then nijitsu another into play.
back on topic, however...
this guy is interesting.
he's pretty much the seshiro of the ninjas.
nice ability but a little iffy in the end.
though maybe in the 101 unknown BoK cards there exists the tools necessary to make a nice ninja-control deck.
however, i fear that a ninja deck, like a ChK snake deck, will only be played casually or perhaps in block.
but didnt R_E say back when we first got ninja of the deep hours, that his source said all the ninjas were unplayable (or something to that effect) ??? so maybe we cant expect much else from other ninjas...
He did say ninjas were unplayable in competitive constructed formats, which is exactly what I believe this card to be. It's fun for casual play and everything, but I honestly doubt there will be a viable ninja deck. While fun, ninjutsu provides you with tempo loss, and unless we see ninjas with playable comes-into-play abilities, I don't think this mechanic will be constructed-playable at all. Keep in mind that stocking a ninja deck with cards like Eternal Witness makes no sense, because 1) they're not ninja and 2) there are far better ways to abuse their CiP abilities.
TNK is going to annihilate people when the new set comes out, the Ninja people are going to be awesome, and the combinations are nearly unimaginable to me, but i am still new to this but I am sure with more training from TNK i will be able to get it and will be a decent player very soon.
Umm, Lin-Sivvi anyone? This card if definately good, I hope it is in the "Ninjitsu" pre-con, but why wouldn't WotC put it's picture on the front of the pre-con, and why would it be on a boosterbox? So I think it's not in the pre-con.
Dammit stop comparing it to Lin Sivvi! Lin was 1000x the card this is. Lin Sivvi had recursion! in other words if something DIED you could GET IT BACK. not to mention Lin Sivvi put the cards INTO PLAY. Oh yeah, and practically every rebel had a search ability, so she was easier to get out. not to mention she costs less (1 less than the ninjutsu cost, 2 less than the hardcast)
nope... they sure aren't... hurry up and release WotC, I wana see the impact of Ninjas in T2!!!! (probobly none...)
