The new expeditions are not available on magiccards.info, but scans may be downloaded from the gatherer.
@ TheRealMaN_ : is mediafire blocked in your country, as I could have experienced it in Russia? If yes, please let me know which download hubs you can access.
Anyone else noticing a time increase in download of prices? Previously, I was able to download prices for about 95% of all sets in about 2 hours. Now, it's taking over twice as long as before at over 5 hours, now 30 plus hours.
I was using Gatherer to download cropped files and there's a problem with cards like Bushi Tenderfoot in that the scan doesn't crop the right part of flip cards. Same goes for cards like Turn // Burn.
Also, is there any way to get the crops at higher resolution? Right now it's at 169x128 pixels, with the scan quality at 100%. From what I can tell, the cards on Gatherer have a slightly bigger image area.
I love this program! Any chance we can get the Shadows Over Innistrad update? It's available in gatherer, but not in the current iteration of the app. Thanks!

Yes, as soon as it is available on the Gatherer (contrary to what you say, SOI seems not to be currently available on 29.03, see below. Gatherer is usually updated on Wednesday before the pre-release week-end)
For your information, no update of Gatherer Extrator is needed to manage new sets, as the app parses the 'Set' list from the Wizards' gatherer.
I'm experiencing the same problem that I had when Magic Origins came out. Both sides of Double Face Cards are being given the information of the Front Side, while not showing anything of the Back Side. Additionally, neither side is showing any value for the "ID (back)" column. I've attached a screenshot to show what data was extracted for Arlinn Kord and her Back Side. Lastly, when it comes to Arlinn, her "Rulings" column is showing a bunch of HTML code. Here is a snippet of what it looks like:
\n4/8/2016 : The “planeswalker uniqueness rule” looks for planeswalkers that share a planeswalker type. If you control Arlinn A1:AF29662 and Arlinn, Embraced by the Moon at the same time, you’ll choose one to put into its owner’s graveyard. <td id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl00_MainContent_SubContent_SubContent_ctl02_rulingsRepeater_ctl01_rulingDate" style="width: 70px; padding-left: 10px; font-weight: bold;">4/8/2016<td id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl00_MainContent_SubContent_SubContent_ctl02_rulingsRepeater_ctl01_rulingText" style="width: 610px; padding-right: 5px;">Arlinn Kord is not a Werewolf card; that is, she doesn’t have the creature type Werewolf. Dear nickman55 : Thank you, but please be a little patient... As already explained at each time a set with double-faced cards is released, you'll get a clean database when the set is available on both the gatherer and magiccards.info. Because Shadows Over Innistrad is not available on magiccards.info, there are some issues with numbering (and corresponding extracted text & back ID accordingly) with gatherer only. This is solved automatically as soon as SOI is available on magiccards.info.
Concerning the HTML code in the ruling, thanks for reporting. this is due to another update of the gatherer, and I need to update GEx accordingly. It will be done as soon as banlists is updated (4th April).
But please, be patient until the set is officially released, before reporting "bugs" which are only due to a lack of consistency between the gatherer's and magiccards.info's databases.
Thanks for the update! And sorry for my impatience... Would it be safe to assume that GE pulls data for the back side from magiccards.info? The reason I ask is with the release of SOI, Wizards changed the rules of the backside of cards in that the backside's CMC is the same as the frontside's. This is not reflected with the latest database pull (everything else about the backside is correct though). I wasn't sure if this is something that you would have to correct, or if contacting magiccards.info would be the better.
Thanks!

I found the toughness data is not extracted and exported. for some set recent set like SOI and other old set. Am I missing something on setting or other?
@ jace0beleren: I've just checked and Toughness data are correctly extracted for all cards from SOI. To have it exported (XML, SQL) please verify you tick correctly the corresponding "toughness" line in the Options > Export menu.
When I try to run v3.21b (as Administrator, and not, Win 7 64 bit) it immediately crashes,

Firstly thanks for the software, it's been a great help.
I don't appear to be able tot get any pricing data currently. Every card shows up with a price of N/A, it still wants to take 60 hours to generate those N/As.
Okay, switch that to a bug report of: when Internet dies the app just keeps trundling along, never mentioning it just can't get a reply to anything....
I run Windows apps in a VM and the VM was using the wrong network card, which I disconnected from the useful network.
I just registered to this site because of your project! GEx is simply... AMAZING!!! The only issue I really have with this tool is the processing time. Of course, being a web developer, I understand there is little to be done here as the scraping process takes a bit of time, not to mention Gatherer and MCI request times.
I am building a tracking tool for my (somewhat large) collection of cards, with a focus on the financial/collector aspects of MTG. As such, I had a couple of questions.
First, I know people have asked this, but where/how can I obtain foil pricing data? I'm not sure if TCG Player offers that in their API, or if you are scraping the price details from MCI.
Second, due to the nature of my project, I'm obligated to ask (though not sure how useful or desirable it is for others), is there a possibility you could do a scheduled task for this?
For example, while the program is running, schedule a price update at a user-defined time/day, then when process completes, auto export in format of user's choice to a directory?
Like: GEx scheduled to run at {4am(User's Timezone)}. When complete, export {xls} with {ID, Price Low, Price Mid, Price High} to {/path/to/directory/[timestamp].xls}
This would be awesome for me (and any other people building similar tools). However, I completely understand if that would be too much additional work, and only for a very small percentage of users.
Regardless, thank you so much for creating/providing this tool! I easily consider it on par with other exceptional projects like MTGJSON. I honestly can't praise this tool enough.
Hello all,
tell me how to export to xls so as not to disrupt the order of columns
Now i can only export to CSV, then replace || to # , then move text in columns by delimiter #
or can anyone export to xls some columns (Name, Set, Type, Converted ana cost, ability) for some sets (BFZ, ORI, OGW, SOI)?

yes it happend to be blocked in russia( if you can, please, upload it to http://www.zippyshare.com
First for all, thanks a lot for giving us this amazing software!
Do you have intention to launch an update with json export? Is so, when?
I uploaded v3.20a here: http://www109.zippyshare.com/v/MhycOe49/file.html
I will try to find a more perennial solution, for the next release than this "one shot" upload.
@ ccezarlopes
Thanks for your support.
Yes, I've been working on a json export. But I do that on my spare time, so I cannot commit on a release date.
I wish that somebody would host a nice complete .csv file somewhere that got updated every set though.
