@ lossy : not for the moment, because comprehensive information are lacking (color, card text etc)
@ C.A.B.A.L. : yes it depends on the screen resolution. As said in the disclaimer, you must use at least a 1024 x 768 to have the program run correctly.
I've just noticed that Wizards' gatherer has changed for split card, now considered as double-faced cards. An update will be available very soon to correct GEx extraction.
PS : v3.4.3 has been released! I hope all should be fixed now. Feel free to let me know any bugs you may notice.
@chaudakh: I do, but I can't check/uncheck them with my mouse. I can double click under xmlMark to change the value but nothing else. Plus I cannot see che "OK" button and cannot resize the window.
This happens not only under xml export options but in some other menus as well.
You think it depends on my screen resolution? I've tried 1024x768 (usually I use a higher one, don't remember actually I'm not at my PC)
I am having this exact same problem - several places in the program look like the text boxes and/or objects are not sized correctly.
On the export options, here is how it is displayed.
what is your .NET Framework version ?
I'm developping the program on WinXP for .NET version 4.0 or greater. The menu list is anormally too wide...
I can see in the background windows that some control location and size are not correct. Your resolution seems to be really small too, but it shouldnt be the origin of the problem. Your theme font is oversized, compared to default WinXP fonts. Is it a 1:1 scaled picture ?
the pic was a print screen from my laptop - it operates at a pretty high resolution as well. I used print screen to get the image then cropped it to paint to demonstrate the problem for you. So I think its fair to say that it may not be 1:1. Are there any other details I can get for you?
I installed this program on a different machine ( my desktop) and did not have this problem. It operates at a much lower resolution. Also I have not increased the DPI for legibility on my desktop where I may have for my laptop - I will try adjusting that to see if it resolves the issue.
not for the moment, for the simple reason comprehensive data are not available from the gatherer nor magiccards.info. Only the semi-HQ scans are available on magiccards.info
Those sets are available from the gatherer extractor (data downloaded from magiccards.info). You can edit the set codes with the Set Editor, if you want for example Ajani VS Bolas to be recognized as DDH instead of AVB (default set code in GEx)
Here is the example of the result of the download of "Ajani VS Bolas" :
If you save it in a .csv file, you'll get :

As you may see, the set is not missing and no cards are missing in the GEx extraction.
@ skibulk : Double lines ££ are required if you want to skip a line for flavor text, for example. I may fix the opening newline for additional ruling texts if required.
Hello again. I just tried to download Dark Ascension, and there are a few major problems dealing with transform cards. Namely, the card number either does not exist for a card (Huntmaster of the Fells) or the card letter is incorrect (Hinterland Scourge). Otherwise, still an excellent program!
Yes, I know. It's because GEx can't synchronize with magiccards.info... The reason is currenty no availability of the DKA set on magiccards.info Just be a little patient ^^ DKA will ne available on magiccards.info really soon,it's a question of hours.
Don't forget to edit your legality files if you want up-to-date legalities...
I will upload an up-to-date version of all files as soon as Dark Ascension is available on magiccards.info
BUG in program -
When I am trying to sort by price the results are incorrect. The system is taking into account only first number and ignores if it's more than 10 or 100 etc...
It's because the column is sorted as string, not as double as you were expecting it. I'll correct that. Thanks for your bug report
PS : New version released:
Fixed bug about the Innistrad cards with 's in their name (Wizards' Gatherer has changed the corresponding spoiler text, and cards were now missingat extration).
Partial fixed bug with B.F.M. as it's now described as a semi-double-faced cards (#28a and #29b)
Bug with price sorting will be fixed next time.
Hi again, really nice and useful software for those who using it in purposes of managing MTG collections or mtg-sellers. The below is wishlist of enhancements which would be very important for people.
New bugs:
- When I am trying to get Full data for Unhinged (or Unglued, don't remember exactly) the process is stopped on the first card and interrupted. Not sure what happens.
Critical priority enhancements: 1C) Add two new buttons "Download all data + prices" \ "Download all data + prices + Download scans". It will take for few hours to download information about cards and usually it would be done at night in background so it good to do everything in one click. 2C) Add option to export in Excel-file with possibility to choose which fields needs to be exported. From my experience a lot of people managing collections there and it's de-facto program to use with MTG (me as well!). Right now CSV-file can be used for this but it has a lot extra data \ separators and I need to do a lot of things before the data in excel would look nice. 3C) Add pricing for FOIL cards. That is really important.
Medium priority enhancements: 1M) Add predefined \ configurable templates for selecting sets in the list (Standard, Extended, All Promos, All normal sets etc.). Would be really useful for people using this software a lot. Right now it is required to select all sets manually. 2M) Add "remove\validate data which is not downloaded fully" possibility. As example, I download few sets including Unhinged\Unglued (see bug on top) and process was interrupted. The system filled table with card information for the first card and left all other cards for this set as empty. Lets say when I click "remove\validate data" the data in table for the set will be erased and set would not be marked as green in the sets list. 3M) Option to delete information for particular set(s) in the table + unmark set as green in the sets list. Right now I see only button Reset Database which clears all data!
Low priority enhancements: 1L) Options menu should be as dropping down menu as all others. Not user friendly now. 2L) Columns in the table should be configurable (option to hide \ revive some of them - as example I don't need information of card in other languages) 3L) Add automatic software update option in menu.
Few questions:
1) Is it possible to calculate pricing from Star City Games?
2) How you determinate the price now?
3) Please estimate which enhancement you can include and when in the software. Actually I am working as Software Testing Engineer and could help you with testing the program. Hope to see all these enhancements! The program would be really cool!

Thanks for your report and suggestions, jmauzer. I'll do my best to answer all of your questions.
New bugs:
- When I am trying to get Full data for Unhinged (or Unglued, don't remember exactly) the process is stopped on the first card and interrupted. Not sure what happens.
Please download the latest version of the program (the one released yesterday). This bug was due to B.F.M. which has been partially fixed. The problem to fix it is that B.F.M. is now defined as a semi-double-faced cards (number #28a and #29b ...!). It can't be made automatically.
1C) Add two new buttons "Download all data + prices" \ "Download all data + prices + Download scans". It will take for few hours to download information about cards and usually it would be done at night in background so it good to do everything in one click.
It is already available! Prices are optional data. In Options > General > Miscellaneous, you can choose to extract prices at the same time all the other data are downloaded. Just check the option checkbox.
I do agree with you. If you need to personally format the csv file each time you want to export the datatable to MS Excel, it can become really boring.
3C) Add pricing for FOIL cards. That is really important.
There are much more important things in life ^^ Actually I can't get prices for foils with the current price source.
1M) Add predefined \ configurable templates for selecting sets in the list (Standard, Extended, All Promos, All normal sets etc.). Would be really useful for people using this software a lot. Right now it is required to select all sets manually.
That's true. It's easy to do for Format, as format are defined from the corresponding cfg files. The problem is to identify automatically what is a "promo" set and what is a "normal" set. the only solution seems to define manually which sets are promo etc. Exactly in the same way format are defined...
If card data are missing during extraction, the corresponding set won't be highlighted in green. Green marks in the set list only informs about fully completed sets. Sets whose code etc are missing still remain highlighted in red.
3M) Option to delete information for particular set(s) in the table + unmark set as green in the sets list. Right now I see only button Reset Database which clears all data!
This is a good idea and will be done really soon.
1L) Options menu should be as dropping down menu as all others. Not user friendly now.
I really don't agree with you. Dropping down menus are so so so boring when you want multiple option modifications. The option menu is currently really clear and well organized... and supports multiple modification in a single click.
2L) Columns in the table should be configurable (option to hide \ revive some of them - as example I don't need information of card in other languages)
This sounds as gadget. The idea was to give to the user a full overview of what was downloaded. If you want to hide rows, just export the datatable to Excel without selecting the column you don't want (see 2C))
3L) Add automatic software update option in menu.
That would be really useful, that's true!
1) Is it possible to calculate pricing from Star City Games?
2) How you determinate the price now?
Prices are currently downloaded resorting to the API available from magiccards.info
I'm planning to customize the websources for prices, depending on sponsoring from the websources. It could be Star City Games, ChannelFireball, ShuffleAndCut, CCGHouse, MagicCorporation etc.
3) Please estimate which enhancement you can include and when in the software.
It's not so easy for me as I have a heavy professional activity and a family to look after. I'm programming GEx when I have time to do it. In addition, I have almost no financial donation for the achieved work. I know it would be really professional to schedule enhancement and further versions (that's what I'm doing in my job) but I can't commit myself for date I may "dishonour".
Actually I am working as Software Testing Engineer and could help you with testing the program.

I am having this exact same problem - several places in the program look like the text boxes and/or objects are not sized correctly.
On the export options, here is how it is displayed.
I installed this program on a different machine ( my desktop) and did not have this problem. It operates at a much lower resolution. Also I have not increased the DPI for legibility on my desktop where I may have for my laptop - I will try adjusting that to see if it resolves the issue.
I miss this pack(not only in the extractor, all over the mws forum

PS : New version released:
Fixed bug about the Innistrad cards with 's in their name (Wizards' Gatherer has changed the corresponding spoiler text, and cards were now missingat extration).
Partial fixed bug with B.F.M. as it's now described as a semi-double-faced cards (#28a and #29b)
Bug with price sorting will be fixed next time.
New bugs:
- When I am trying to get Full data for Unhinged (or Unglued, don't remember exactly) the process is stopped on the first card and interrupted. Not sure what happens.
Critical priority enhancements:
1C) Add two new buttons "Download all data + prices" \ "Download all data + prices + Download scans". It will take for few hours to download information about cards and usually it would be done at night in background so it good to do everything in one click.
Medium priority enhancements:
1M) Add predefined \ configurable templates for selecting sets in the list (Standard, Extended, All Promos, All normal sets etc.). Would be really useful for people using this software a lot. Right now it is required to select all sets manually.
Low priority enhancements:
1L) Options menu should be as dropping down menu as all others. Not user friendly now.
2L) Columns in the table should be configurable (option to hide \ revive some of them - as example I don't need information of card in other languages)
3L) Add automatic software update option in menu.

Please download the latest version of the program (the one released yesterday). This bug was due to B.F.M. which has been partially fixed. The problem to fix it is that B.F.M. is now defined as a semi-double-faced cards (number #28a and #29b ...!). It can't be made automatically.
It is already available! Prices are optional data. In Options > General > Miscellaneous, you can choose to extract prices at the same time all the other data are downloaded. Just check the option checkbox.
I do agree with you. If you need to personally format the csv file each time you want to export the datatable to MS Excel, it can become really boring.
There are much more important things in life ^^ Actually I can't get prices for foils with the current price source.
That's true. It's easy to do for Format, as format are defined from the corresponding cfg files. The problem is to identify automatically what is a "promo" set and what is a "normal" set. the only solution seems to define manually which sets are promo etc. Exactly in the same way format are defined...
If card data are missing during extraction, the corresponding set won't be highlighted in green. Green marks in the set list only informs about fully completed sets. Sets whose code etc are missing still remain highlighted in red.
This is a good idea and will be done really soon.
I really don't agree with you. Dropping down menus are so so so boring when you want multiple option modifications. The option menu is currently really clear and well organized... and supports multiple modification in a single click.
This sounds as gadget. The idea was to give to the user a full overview of what was downloaded. If you want to hide rows, just export the datatable to Excel without selecting the column you don't want (see 2C))
That would be really useful, that's true!
Prices are currently downloaded resorting to the API available from magiccards.info
I'm planning to customize the websources for prices, depending on sponsoring from the websources. It could be Star City Games, ChannelFireball, ShuffleAndCut, CCGHouse, MagicCorporation etc.
Your help for testing is really welcome
That's nice question ... I will try to do some sort. Below are all "Normal" (playable and legal in tournaments, no promo or special editions).
