Isn't magic suppose to be best of 3? It seems stupid to determine ranked based on best of one matches especially there are so many flopped matchups game 1.
Play 20 best of 1 matches and it averages out pretty closely to 7 best of 3 matches but with way more variety. It's a little different than traditional Magic but in some ways worse and in some ways better.
Keep in mind that it's still a beta and ranked was just released about a week ago. They just went with bo1 initially to get more games in for the sake of analysis. I expect an additional bo3 ladder soon.
In general, the development team seems pretty responsive to player feedback and since bo1 vs bo3 ranked is discussed a lot, I can't see them ignoring this.
