Over the past few days, every time I have tried to start Duels on my iPad pro, it crashes on the initial screen (where the two vendor logos are). The little spinning fireball takes a couple moves and then stops, and poof, the whole thing is gone. I was seeing crashes like this before, but a second attempt always seemed to clear it. Now it is permanent. I upgraded iOS to 9.3.1 to see if that would fix it, but there is no difference. Since I know of no way to diagnose this on an iPad, I just wanted to ask if there has been any Duels server glitches or anything that might cause this outside of my machine.
I will also be complaining to customer support, but I am wondering if anyone here is in the same boat.
Sorry friend, I only have the Steam version and it's always been very functional.
Last time I had an issue the people from WotC's customer service acted very quickly, hope it's the same in your case.

Thanks for the reply. I got the "we heard you" response from Wotc, but nothing after that. Curiously, my system succeeded in starting a few hours later, and I was able to use it before the update. But the next attempt to start repeated the same crash. Then during the day yesterday, I was getting "could not connect to server", so I hoped that was a good sign. After about a bazillion retrys (once every half hour or so), it got through and updated. I haven't tried to restart it since then! It has been pretty stable, I have done all the story lines and bought 4 boosters. Crossing my fingers it starts the next time I have to kill it. But usually, if I doesn't kill itself, I leave it running in the background.

I had the exact same issue on and off on my iPad Mini. The game would be working just fine, then it would crash, and when I tried to open the App again it'd crash at the same screen (with the spinning fireball). It would literally do this for 2-3 days and then all of a sudden it'd start working again. I haven't contacted WOTC customer support about this particular issue, but I have contacted them for other bugs (such as the App crashing when I'd open a booster pack I purchased and I'd lose the cards) and they are always very responsive.
My most recent issue was after the SOI update the App would crash every time I tried to start a solo battle using one of my decks. They got back to me and said I have to rebuild all of my decks. What a hassle! But it's apparently the only workaround at this point.
