Dragon Sheilds are some of the best in my opinion, however they are most of the time about 10 dollars. There is also a Japanese made sleeve I don't really know that name that is right under Dragon Shield in terms of quality, for a lesser price. Ultra Pro can also last along time. One of the first set of sleeves that I got were Ultra Pro, and this was during Saga when all they had were Black and Red ones available, in the little box with the Joker on it. They lasted for something like 4 years. Alot of it depends just on how you shuffle it.
One thin I might add is that most people if they are going to play at something other then just an FNM go out for new sleeves for each tounrey. It can get experience if you are travel to a lot of PTQ's, however it saves on the likelihood of being called for marked cards.
DragonShields may be good, but I find that they are very pricey. Lately, I've just been buying the ones straight from Wizards. The sleeves are good, and the boxes often have great art!!!
UltraPro always seemed to work for me. It's the metallic color ones that don't flow over so nicely. Best ones would be cases that come from a deck box from certain sets. Like say you got a Mirrodin deck box. The one my friend bought came with 75 black sleeves, which are still very good, so those get my vote.
(When I still played) I used UltraPro, basically because...well...they're the only ones my store selled? I basically only bought the clear sleeves, cause I couldn't really be bothered spending $6 for 50 coloured sleeves (not even enough for one deck - stupid marketing ploys )

i like to cut the edges out of sleevs and melt them together into one giant sleeve for my oversized cards. In all truth though I use pokemon sleeves when i play magic. You have to use your sleeves as a distraction technique to throw off your opponent. If he is to busy laughing at you for playing pikachu sleeves he won't notice when you slip 24 cheatyfaces into play.
are you allowed to play with more than four cheatyfaces in a deck? does that fall under the: you can as long as you don't get caught, and if you do they just go to the graveyard, you don't get in trouble for cheating? how about can you grab them out of your commons box even if they weren't in your deck to begin with, as long as you don't get caught? I figure you probably can, ruel (antione, i think) tried to get away with casting an ancestral recall at PT Honolulu, on camera even, but didn't get in any trouble. I suppose if you can do it in the top eight with a table judge you ought to be able to do it at FNM or a draft...
oh yeah, sleeves. um, i don't know which ones i use. i do prefer the opaque backed ones though, because if they're see-through it's easier to have a "marked card" issue.

Hey all... I'm retired, not dead. Check out what I'm doing these days (and beg me to come back if you want):
Hm....odd man out here...I use the Ultra Metallix from Rook. They sell in 30s, have good color selection (not the best, but I like it), and stand up to the torture of my shuffling. Check them out at www.myrook.com.

It was obvious he was not trying to play the Ancestral. He'd palmed the card, and it was treated as the joke it was intended to be. Remember that part of the PT is about showmanship and marketing the game. I'm sure that, had any of the judges thought anything untoward was happening, they would have stepped in.
That said, I use Dragon Shields for my Constructed decks. I like them better than Ultra Pro, though I think Ultra Pro has improved in the last few years. I am not a fan of KMC sleeves at all. For drafts and sealed, I usually go with Ultra Pro because they come in packs of 50, and the stores around here only have Dragon Shields in packs of 100.
