So after a few weeks with the KMC Hyper Mattes, they are by far the greatest sleeves on the market. Dragonshields are in second place, but are too hard and sharp for my liking.
Ultra Pro (any of their lines) is awful. I was at a GPT a few months back, my deck sleeved in brand new Ultra Pro Mattes - and I almost got DQ'd from the tournament because my opponent (who was a judge((luckily he was also a friend so let me off))) said to me that he could see I had a Huntmaster of the Fells in my hand because he could see the Ravager of the Fells through the back of the sleeves.
After that I swore never to buy ultra pros again, not even on short notice or for drafting.
I have discovered one very minor issue with the KMC Hyper Mattes though, and that is that the cards seem to creep upwards inside the sleeves as you play with them. As someone who likes having his cards nestled snugly at the bottom of my sleeves, that is slightly irritating, but not a deal breaker for me, since everything else about the hypers is so mindblowingly good
How are the hyper mattes shuffling now?
I played with the KMC mattes over this summer with my standard deck and they are starting to feel stickier and stickier.

Does anyone else have this problem?
I have that problem with the regular Matte sleeves from KMC, but the "HYPER" Mattes are completely different. The only thing up in the air about the HYPERS is how they'll fair over time. Since they are brand spanking new, none of us know what they are like, say, 6 months from now. But I feel confident about them, and agree that they seem to have tied with Dragon Shield for top sleeve.
the thing is though, if you're playing with your deck 2 or 3 times a week for several hours on end, you don't really expect them to last years. i probably change my sleeves once or twice a year, barring any GPs or PTQs i go to, because you don't want to deal with "marked" when they're just slightly used.

Picked up kmc hyper mats with perfect fits today for an edh deck. Played a few games - absolutely love them. My friend asked why I was changing from ultra pro mats. I showed him two stacks of red and black.. Both piles had 2-3 different lengths - he understood after that.. The library stack is not much taller after compressing the air out of the cards. I know it is early on, but I may stick with this combo for the forseable future. I can't wait for the new colors now
The KMC Hyper Matte have a much rougher texture then kmc matte and in my opinion they should take longer to lose there slickness. They are also super smooth and slippery definitely slicker than the regular KMC matte. Time will tell on durability but the quality of the cut is definitely on par with the rest of the KMC line.
I have the Ultra Pro Matte sleeves for my Doran EDH deck, but since I'm trying to accrue more foils for it, I've been in the market for new sleeves. I was looking at Dragon Shields, but now that I see the KMC Mattes aren't matte in the front and will actually show the foil plus they're coming out with more colors (I'm looking for Green), I'm a bit more curious about them.
Do they slide around when the deck is piled up? I had that issue with my regular ultra pro sleeves and don't want to deal with that again.
Also, how much thicker are they than the pro matte? Would it be noticeable with a full EDH deck?

I have not really broken mine in yet, but I would say that they slide around when stacked a bit less than brand new Dragon Shields, and a bit more than broken in Dragon Shields. The non-matte card window makes them a bit more slippery than Ultra-Pro mattes

If anything I would say that they slightly (though noticeably) thinner.
Out of curiosity, can anyone tell me whether or not the KMC Super orange or pastel pink sleeves are transparent? I want to sleeve some of my cards, but I don't want to order the sleeves, and then find out that I can see the backs of my cards through them. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have no idea, but I can tell you that Super Blue sleeves are faintly translucent. In the right light you might be able to see if you were about to draw a card that did not have a standard magic back.

Thanks for the help. Anyway, that doesn't bode well for the lighter colored sleeves. I have some old Dragon Ball GT and Dragon Ball Z cards that I want to sleeve, but they have different backs. (You can mix them, but the official rule was that they had to be in sleeves that were completely opaque.) I got a pack of the Ultra Pro Matte orange sleeves, and it was really easy to see through them. I went online, and read that KMC sleeves were a pretty high quality option, but I didn't want to risk buying another set of sleeves, only to have them go to waste.
Is there any problem with the height of the Hyper Mattes? I am purchasing my first legacy deck and would like to get some new sleeves for them. I like the idea of the textured back, but I'm worried about my new cards getting chipped. I'm not exactly fond of the extra width of the deck from double sleeving.

Well I was just referring to the Super Blue. I have KMC dark blue matte, KMC glossy black, and now black Hyper Matte sleeves too, and they are fully opaque.

Hard to say, since I double sleeve for the most part. I haven't noticed any marring on the tops of my cards so far, but then I am not worried about them either. Frankly, double sleeving does not seem to add that much size to the deck (hyper mattes are thinner), but I also am an EDH player so large decks are not that big a deal to me.

I've had no problems with them so far, but they are a touch shorter than I like.
What do you mean by that? On re-reading I think I need to clarify my question a little bit, if I have some cards in KMC inner sleeves, and some cards in Ultra Pro inner sleeves, then put them all into the same outer sleeves, will it be noticeable?

Only upon close examination under a microscope by an obsessive compulsive lunatic.
Having the same outer sleeves is all you need, even if the inners are a mix of KMC Perfects and Ultra Pro Perfects.
Although, Ultra Pro perfects are not as good as KMC perfects, but...

What I mean is that if you have a card in KMC inner sleeves, and then insert them into Ultra-Pro outer sleeves (I have observed this with mattes), then you will notice some scrunching and bubbling because KMC fit sleeves are slightly bigger than what Ultra-Pro sleeves are designed for.
Now, if I understand what you are asking, then you will be using KMC outer sleeves and in my experience you will not notice the difference no matter what the inner sleeve. What I described above is the reverse of that, and is noticeable.
If you had to estimate, how much more volume does it add for 75 cards? Will a 75 still fit inside one of those ultra pro magnet boxes with the flip tops?

Maybe 30%? Possibly less after they settle down.
75 double-sleeved will fit in the magnet boxes with room for a maybe 3-4 token cards and that's it. It's how I normally carry my tournament decks.

Looks like I'm back to the super inconsistent Dragon Shields.
Get some KMC hyper mattes. Similar feel to ultra pro mattes, but much stronger.
