Kaladesh is portrayed as an opulent plane of creation and ingenuity. It seems that there is a great demand for magical energy there. I predict that the Aether Revolt (the set following Kaladesh) will be fueled by insurgents from the plane of Vryn.
Vryn is a plane in turmoil with constant battles over access to Mage-Rings which serve as conduits of mana and feed into a network. It is never exactly explained what this network of mana feeds into during the Origins block only they are coveted by the mage elite of the Ampryn League. I think that all of this mana is being funneled through an extra planar portal into Kaladesh.
The prosperity and technology of Kaladesh is fueled by the strife and back-breaking labor of those on Vryn. Alhammarret could even have been sent to Vryn from Kaladesh to help enforce the status quo. At some point a new planeswalker from Vryn will discover this secret and lead a revolt against Kaladesh. This could even lead to a schism in the Gatewatch between Jace and Chandra.
Just a vorthosian guess since we know that the next two blocks will both be new planes.
I don't see why two planes are necessary to show that sort of conflict. You can have upper class vs lower class represented on one plane alone. Having multiple planes in direct conflict is just a huge hassle on multiple fronts.
Plus, the factions on Vryn actively fight over control of the Mage-Rings, so apparently they are valuable for the person directly controling them.
I do agree that having the conflict in interests between two allied planeswalkers is very intriguing though, but I think that thing can be done with different plots.
I don't see how two planes would be brought into conflict, or at the very least, not these two. There hasn't been any indication that non planeswalker inhabitants have had any sort of contact, and just because they may have similar plane specific conflicts (over the power sources), doesn't mean they would be fighting with each other. Besides, the aether on Kaladesh seems to be in short supply, thus the trafficking, and the "revolt" will likely be from Kaladesh's people. This is supported by the fact that the set is called "Aether Revolt", a substance the normal citizens are deprived of, plus the plane is ruled by the consuls, which is implied to be extremely controlling of its people and displays certain aspects in common with a dictatorship. A prime example is the public, attempted execution of Chandra. So, as I said, the revolt will be from Kaladeshi people that want more freedom and access to the valuable aether to fuel their machines. Vryn is simply going through a civil war, which has likely ended since Alhemmeret's death by Jace. Without the arbiter, one side would probably have gained the upper hand seized the mage rings for themselves. If a portal is what the rings are fueling, and Kaladesh is what is controlling it, we would likely have seen some of Kaladesh technology present on Vryn.

Neat fanfic, but I don't see how the two could be linked without using a planeswalker.
Selling some cards I don't want.
Generally less than tcg mid.
