I have this theory that Sigarda will start a rebellion in her neck of the woods. She will rally what little humans are left, that were not wiped out by Avacyn and plan to usurp her and stop this madness. I bet you any money Sig will become the new angel of hope at the end of all of this. As I said before I feel she’ll be the only hope humans have from extinction. I mean look at her, her new picture makes her looks exhausted. Plus I doubt she is evil, I mean heck look at Avacyn and then Look at Sigarda. She has that welcoming warmth of hope. But reading up on the latest Uncharted, I feel at the end of the series she will have no choice but to kill her sisters and buy time till Jace, Sorin, and Tami to come in and take Avacyn out for good.
“The storm is coming. Sigarda considered the angels in her flight, wondering if any of them had gone over to Avacyn yet. She considered humans that could possibly help stand against Avacyn. There were few, so few. But Sigarda knew it didn't matter, even if no one joined her cause. The storm is here. This time I fight.”-Uncharted Realms
However there are still unanswered questions here. Wheres Odric and Thalia in all of this mess? Me and my friend have a theory that they are either dead or exiled. After the whole Avacyn Inquisition, some of those whom once supported Avacyn will question her ethics as soon as the fanatics surface. There will be those in the church would denounce her. Heck some maybe even be branded heretics. Odric I feel, sadly is exiled. As I feel like he is too smart for this. He could probably tell the Church is going south and books it, after seeing the blood soaked winged angel killing an entire town, and her taking the purifier stick. Odric would just say screw this. Taking what forces he has and hides till the time is right. He is the only person I feel that can command a rebellion of the remaining humans against Avacyn.
Thalia, guardian of thraben. The one woman whom released Avacyn from her prison. I bet you she regrets it now, it would be interesting that she leaves in shame on her own terms, her own self doubt makes her leave all she has. There are two outcomes for Thalia: she is either killed or brainwashed by Avacyn, it would be interesting of seeing a zealot Thalia. She was one of the hardcore supporters of the church. But She might feel remorse of her actions, a complex villain. But her fate is left unanswered as well. Nevertheless I feel she would join up in the rebellion after having second thoughts.
There might be some indication that Odric has resisted Avacyn's new 'work' in that his lieutenant in the Riders of Gavony was Grete, who is now described in the flavour text for Avacyn, the Purifier as 'Grete, cathar apostate'. If Grete has renounced Avacyn, there's every chance Odric has too.
I think if there is one man whom can take on Avacyn it would Be Odric and Sigarda. The perfect combo in a rebellion. But I wonder if this scars him somehow. That he is lost. But oddly in his bio he was not really a religious man as said in his bio.
"Odric is a battlefield man, better suited to combat maneuvers than negotiating the politics of the Avacynian Church. One of his duties as a Church commander"
People keep saying Sigarda looks exhausted in different threads, i have zero clue why though. She has yellow eyes so cant use those to demonstrate, so where on gods earth does she look tired?
Anyways i too agree she will be the "good" angel of the set, rallying humans and other allies around her. We know she feels regret for standing idly by while her BW sister was murdered by Avacyn, so this is probably personal too. It will be interesting how she reacts to potentially corruputed gisela and bruna, but we know in 1 v 1 she has stated avacyn would destroy her, so i assume Sorin gets to Avacyn, and when the dust settles, perhaps sigarda functions as the new leader of men.
I feel when the humans take back their main cities, they are going to need Odric. He is the only person I feel can give Avacyn's army tfun for their money. Innistrad does have a fighting chance with Sigarda and Him. I just hope Odric does not die. He looks really stressed and somewhat distraught that his faith has gone to crap and he now is trying to find a reason to fight. He might see inspiration when he finds survivors of other cities and Sigarda.
I think we don't know enough about the Lunarch's council/inquisition to say, yet.
It seems like just as the Angels are split the Humans are too. We know Odric is working with the Lunarch Council, who are the crazy Inquisitors running around. But it's not clear if they're running around going after "heretics" to try to bring Avacyn back and prove humanity worthy, or if they're going after people who are still following Angels.
