My pardon if this has already come up somewhere - mysearches didn't reveal any such thing, but that can sometimes get tricky.
People have remarked on how, as a mysterious colorless being, Ugin has a surprising amount in common with (one of his) age-old nemeses. But I'll take it a step further - I posit that Ugin isn't like an Eldrazi titan - he literally is a titan. Consider:
Ugin is a powerful, colorless being which walks the Planes. The obvious part.
He has specialized knowledge/understanding of the Eldrazi.
He, and perhaps he alone, doesn't want them killed.
He is the source of a unique, colorless magic of destruction (Ghostfire).
He is the source of a unique, colorless magic of uncanny transformation (Manifest/Morph).
His presence on a plane causes beings who are lesser versions of himself to spawn.
They spawn in a violent event, causing natural disasters - shades of The Roil.
He whispers into people's minds, driving them insane.
His nature transcends time, in a way which makes him seemingly-immortal.
The kicker? Expose him to a Hedron, and it puts him in stasis until exposed to one of the magics which created the Eldrazi prison.
That all sounds pretty Eldrazi-like to me. Of particular note, that last item is not what Hedrons did to Ob Nixilis or Garruk.
I'm not exactly lending my voice to the chorus of "Ugin is a villain" (narratively, that's a lot of work positioning him as the inversion of no fewer than two-third's of the line's Big Bads to just have him join their number), but I do think it would a cool reveal, and help to cast Ugin in an amoral light, to keep the YoungWalkers from ever wanting to lean too heavily on the godlike Spirit Dragon - which, frankly, could do with some justification beyond "he's kind of a jerk."
What do you all think of this idea? Crafted like a fine hedron? Crazier than Sarkhan? Already discussed to death somewhere I couldn't find?
His nature transcends time, in a way which makes him seemingly-immortal.
I believe that is because he is a dragon.
As for your other points, there are many things that could explain them, like Ugin fighting the eldrazi for so long or his magic being integral part to the crafting of the hedrons.
So, while I would not say "crazier than Sarkhan", I think you're reading too much into this.
Plus we have been told many times Tarkir is Ugins homeworld. If he was a titan they would have stated he is a naive of Tarkir.

Only happened to Sarkhan, and only while Ugin was dead.
I believe that is because he is a dragon.
