In today's article about the current whereabouts and activities of the planeswalkers, it was revealed that Gideon is seeking to enlist the assistance of others to defeat the Eldrazi, who have devaststaed Zendikar and may even have escaped from that plane to travel to other planes. However, Gideon is not the only planeswalker with that goal, as Kiora, Nissa, and Sorin all share that interest, as well, so I wonder if the four of them shall form an alliance to defeat the Eldrazi, especially since Kiora and Nissa are natives of Zendikar. Each of them has a different personality and different methods of operation, but they all share the same goal, even if they have different reasons for seeking to achieve that goal.
What does everyone else say about this? Will all the planeswalkers who seek to defeat the Eldrazi form an alliance to do so?

Jace also seems to have concerns about the Eldrazi as well, however it seems like he may see Garruk as being more relevant atm, so pretty sure he's going to see what he can do about Garruk's curse (judging by the new art for Jace, it seems like he's going to try and share the burden of the psychological effects of Garruk's curse) which begs the question how this might affect the guildpact and thus Ral and Vraska's schemes. I see a puzzle coming together here. Anyway, Anti-Eldrazi alliance. Heck, with this chunk of info, I think a lot of pieces will come together. It seems like we'll see more Eldrazi, Bolas, Sarkhan, maybe some Ramaz or new agents, before we see any New Phyrexia stuff around the time Elspeth finishes her underworld story. Same for Tezzeret.

If Gideon is seeking compatriots, after reading the article. Will he be the one to return Elspeth from Nyx? He might have a run-in with Ajani and be informed of the details. Gideon going to theros to save Elspeth from Erebos would be a cool storyline to help with the Eldrazi problem.

Seriously? Gideon doesn't know either of them IRC, and Elspeth has stated she wants to stop fighting. She wouldn't go from losing to the Phyrexians, a much more killable enemy than the Eldrazi, to fighting those monstrosities. If he got anyone on Theros, it'd be Kiora.
DemonDragonJ, of the planeswalkers you listed, we have a nice span of colors:
- White: Gideon
- Blue: Kiora
- Black: Sorin
- Red: ?
- Green: Nissa
I know that Kiora, Gideon, and Sorin span more than one color, but they seem to fit nicely into our color pie. I'm not saying they're coming up with a perfectly-constructed color pie alliance, but I wanted to point out the colors. Further, if Gideon find Chandra again, she'd fit the red slot if WotC was heading in that direction.
I do agree that a build-up of a return to Zendikar is rather evident--even seeing Ob Nixilis in M15 is a surprise. Further, Perilous Vault with its heavy storyline flavor text seems indicative of Zendikari focal points:
The spirit dragon Ugin arranged the hedrons of Zendikar to direct leylines of energy. To disrupt one is to unleash devastation and chaos.

Gideon is monowhite, just to note.
I however, have also noticed the nice color balance. IIRC, Koth or more likely Sarkhan (He seems to be sane again, so he may regret what happened on Zendikar.) would be the red walker.

Sarkhan is still under Bolas's influence, but his love of dragons seems to be overpowering it and leading him to Khans searching the voice in his head.
I get the feeling that they're building towards an eventual "Avengers Assemble" kind of thing where a team of most of the surviving named walkers team up to take on a major villain.
Whether or not that hunch comes to anything and whether or not the Eldrazi are the chosen villain is all a matter of conjecture at this point.

I just assume it will be vs one of the Titans to kill it off (assuming the others actually escaped) that way there is a closure for Zendikar's story and they get to keep the Eldrazi as villians.

I do just want to point out this little thing from a long time ago:
"The Three shall [convene/return?], and the Eye [illegible] shall produce its [utter/sheer?] fire, and the [illegible] shall Rize, and this Time no Soul shall [ascend/perish/escape?]"

Seeing as how I missed Zendikar, I would be really, really stoked to see a return to such a plane! I have really been enjoying working with what little eldrazzi I have managed to get my hands on. I can only imagine what Block play was like back then! Woah!
As a lithomancer himself, Koth would be a better choice. Moreover New Phyrexia is a lost cause and wizards must find him another plot if they plan to use him again.
And he would be the first PW (minus Bolas who knows everything anyway) aware of both the Phyrexian and Eldrazi threats, isn't he?
Koth isn't actually a lithomancer though. He's a geomancer. He can use spells to manipulate stone, sure, but I seriously doubt he has the specialty required to make something like the Hedrons.

Doug and MaRo have both had difficulty giving a key difference between the two terms. It's a rock vs stone kind of deal.
Question is, would you even want to get rid of the Eldrazi altogether? As long as you can park them off somewhere on a mana rich, sparsely populated world, they're invaluable tools in dealing with threats you can't deal with otherwise. I mean, the Eldrazi seem to be made to destroy Phyrexia. Just place a mana beacon on New Phyrexia, wait some time, problem solved. Erasing the phyrexian threat has never been easier.

Then you run the risk of giving Nicol Bolas compleated Eldrazi. Not a good idea.
This is Off-topic, but who is the Planeswalker in Planechaser's profile pic? I noticed they are in Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 and in one of the recent trailers. Do they have a name, or is it just a generic person used when they need a stand-in PW?
Originally, he was a generic avatar. One of many in the DotP13 game.
Am I the only one who thinks Garruk could be our Bolas Slayer?

I'm hoping its Tezzeret and Sarkhan that defeat Bolas. Then Garruk can embark on a quest to destroy civilization. Or something.
He currently hunts Planeswalkers.

Koth would make sense as a "new" lithomancer, but he still has Phyrexia to deal with and has not been introduced to the Eldrazi.
I would agree that Sarkhan (huh, Sar-KHAN, I just realized that) may be finished with Zendikar as he has other roles to play elsewhere.

Especially the M15 set let us know that 2 of the titans had left Zendikar.
They are probably headed to other planes.
