This is kind of a "one and done" sort of thing, but I can't say for sure what sort of magic the Masked Planeswalker is using... idk about the arrow, but it looms like he Unsummoned Garruk, but that's just me. Did anyone pick up something I didn't?

3WWU, 2GWW, and 4RWW! These were the mana costs chosen to summon the perfect little angel! But Professor Avacyn accidentally added an extra ingredient to the concoction! Chemical x Thus, the Powerpuff Girls were born! Using their ultra super powers, Gisela, Bruna, and Sigarda have dedicated their lives to fighting crime and the forces of evil!
I don't think it was a bounce spell. Garruk showed up right behind him and hacked his head off. Maybe some kind of redirection or tapping up spell.
That sort of was odd too, bounce would have like, forcibly caused Garruk to planeswalk, but there much be some mechanical flavor there and perhaps being a Planeswalker means being thrown to the AEther doesn't affect you as much as it does a summoned creature. Then again, what did he do to that arrow?

Gameplay/Storyline Segregation is a thing. Not every spell we see in videos/books/Uncharted Realms has to have a direct equivalent in the game, so there's no point in over analyzing a piece of marketing fluff.
Besides, it was clearly a flicker effect that he expected to be a Flickerwisp effect.

So then that would at least suggest suggest that he's a White, or "Alabaster" Mage, wouldn't it?

LOL True. But that was his arrow? The trailer was kind of vague about the origin of the arrow.

Maybe, he was just sacrificing his Dawntreader Elk to fetch a land, as he retrieved some kind of energy when he touched the arrow. Sacrificing doesn't have to include altars and stuff - I can imagine the ramping mage goes hunting the elk for sport, and harvests the energy of the hunting grounds in the process.
Huh. So either he's an Alabaster Mage (Flicker, Avenging Arrow) Azure Mage (bounce?) or a Jade Mage (sacrifice for land) there is of course a blue glow to his doing whatever to the arrow, no idea what that says for his abilities.

Special thanks to Serrot_29 for Catbug'mrakul!
The Avenging Arrow was kind of a bigger give away.
