I have to say I like the way they handled printing Urza Planeswalker. The meld mechanic makes so much sense
The modern mech visuals are also great.
Changing Kayla's skin tone feels quite forced and unnecessary. Inconsistent with the old comics, a little bit weird concerning Jodah is her great-grandson. I am curious about Harbin and Jarsyl, if they get cards.
And I am a little bit disappointed that they are going with the universal Urza Planeswalker look even for his pre-ascension depictions. The Urza's Saga is so much more accurate to the novel, with him as an old man.

I don't understand why Urza lose his black when he ascend, he still remains a pretty egoistic guy even when he is a planeswalker.
Regardin Kayla, I don't really like changing her skin tone: adding a new character is a thing, changing a lore relevant character another (I still don't think it's going to reflect on Jodah). If they wanted to be more inclusive, they could have just made her middle-eastern or something, since her name Bin-Kroog (albeit wrong) suggest an Arabic influence. And, by the way, what happened to her crown? She doesn't even look like a queen!
I don't understand why Urza lose his black when he ascend, he still remains a pretty egoistic guy even when he is a planeswalker.
Its all design stuff and not story stuff. In standard where this is semi-aimed to be played they tend to like stuff in one or two colors to go into more decks. We also need to jump through the meld hoop to play Urza so making him three colors would have him see less play, even more so when New Capenna rotates out with Eldraine 2 and three color support is gone. I'm assuming they also picked white/blue as his ultimate seems to be using the Sylex which would translate as a white effect.
Meanwhile the commander deck version is meant to be the head of a commander deck so making him three colors lets you play more cards.
Lore-wise, remember that planeswalker and legendary creature cards don't always show the full color range of that character and sometimes can just be that character in a snap shot of them in a certain moment or showing off certain sides or abilities of that character. Not so much Urza lost black just in that moment his UW side and abilities are the focus.

Well, they could have made her trans, bisexual, or wheelchair-bound. This is probably the least forced.

I agree with this. I'm pretty much convinced that the Urza, Planeswalker card in the set is planeswalker Urza Just Getting Started. He's nowhere close to showing off his (full) glory in this set.
Along the lines of that, Sorin Markov has gone from mono-black to BW to back to being mono-black in Standard-legal sets alone, and I bet he'll flip-flop at least one more time. I kinda like Sorin the Mirthless being mono-black (notably after a long BW stint) to more properly show that he really disapproves of the wedding to the point of breaking decorum. (Innistrad has always brought out the worst in Sorin.) I suspect Sorin is more like BBW, but set designers will always have trouble showing this.
That's the rub. Set designers will always have trouble showing planeswalkers' precise personality colour mixes in their cards. At best, they'll split the difference across multiple cards if a planeswalker is really more like UUGw (my current guess for Tamiyo pre-compleation).
Keep in mind that genuine color changes also happen, like Ajani's lost of red mana. Urza is centered in White/Blue; he's always an ego-maniac but his initial tenure as a planeswalker had him be unstable and perhaps not aligned with black mana until he had a better grasp of his psyche.
Though ironically I'd say he was at his least Black when he met the pneumagogs and how a scienceoner for them, since they're obviously white aligned.
So... did Mishra meld himself with a Dragon Engine in the novel or this is a new change brought by the set?! If I'm not mistaken, in the novel he was only compleated (or at least with a mechanical body).

It was in the novel so this is lore accurate
and He last Meld card based on being green i think I know now
one of the cards will be Titania and whatever the other is it will meld into the giant avatar Titania makes to destroy the machines
i Was confused as well from the comic depiction but I did a little research and some people stepped up to me (one of which here)
The comic book which the art came from is not canon and the offical novel is a recon of that
from The offical novel I believe there’s only 2 details we got of her and that’s “raven black hair” and “brown eyes”
The original novel, awesome as it is, is no more perfect than anything else. I said it in the other thread, but the original novel references Arabian Nights as much as it does Antiquities, with Mishra's side being represented by primarily Arab stand-ins (right down to having a sultan and using other Arabian terms). Due to the writer failing to describe the people of Kroog in the same level of detail, they default to being white in the reader's mind. This carries some uncomfortable (and likely unintended) connotations about white western people VS the Arab world, made worse by the novel name dropping one of the seven cards banned in 2020 for being insensitive, Jihad. Making Kayla and other characters from Kroog black helps at least mitigate some of these unfortunate implications from the novel, even though there is no going back and removing the reference in the book to the banned card. Its no more of a retcon than the novel itself was for the comic, and speaking as a Vorthos who is arguably more interested in this property for its story than its gameplay, this was a golden opportunity to help fix the errors of Magic's older lore without necessarily contradicting it. I'm glad they did this.
I see a bias in your reconstruction when you speak of "errors" of Magic older lore. Instead, I even think that at least a bit of anti colonialism was inserted in the original novel, with the Sword Marches being an ancestral land of the Fallaji, called the Suwwadi Marches, and being invaded and conquered by the Yotian. Inserting difficult and controversial themes in a novel it's not an error, is something good writers are able to do.
The error was the same as the error of printing the now banned card at all: calling the war a "jihad" is a misunderstanding of what that word even means. It is not the same thing as a crusade. Moreover it plays into stereotypes of the middle east, which are a problem even outside the context of colonialism. The book is still good, and its point of making the exact start of the "true" conflict ambiguous is a fascinating theme; but the portrayal of Mishra's kingdom and its relationship with Kroog is still problematic. Just because you inserted a controversial theme into a book on purpose does not mean you handled the topic well and without error.
Ironically he's alsmot always depicted with white skin in old cards (like a pre-Elesh Norn), but then again the original comics depicted him as Predator-like so its not like he always had a consistent apparence.
But wasn't his white-skinned appearance after the brother's war? I think he was tortured for failing both during the war and to infiltrate Dominaria using sleeper agents before the Shard developed and cut off Dominaria from Phyrexia for a very long time. Always thought that this caused the shift in his appearance, but I might be wrong.
Need to get in touch with Planeswalker but I don't think so. Either way phyrexians are constantly being modified so it isn't deal breaking by any means, but art meant to represent him at the time of Brother's War has depicted him as the white hammerhead thing.

Besides the known characters (Ashnod, Hurkyl, Gix) there are cards for Tawnos, Tocasia, Harbin, Loran, Gwenna (the elf who decided not to kill Harbin when he crashed and doomed her home) and for several younger versions of Urza and Mishra (two when they were boys (Urza, Powerstone Prodigy and Mishra, Excavation Prodigy), at least one for Mishra in his twenties or so (Mishra, Tamer of Mak Fawa). AT least two version of Titania (Voice of Gaea in her queen form and Avenger of Argoth for her humongous elemental form). Double-faced cards maybe?
Also, Argoth as legendary land.
Many spotlight moment for the brothers story s - fracturing the powerstone, Brotherhood's End (the blast that killed Tocasia), Bitter Reunion (Fallaji x Yotian negotiation), Hostile Negotiation (ornithopter carpet bombing of the talks referred to in Yotia Declares War), Epic Confrontation (last battle), Gruesome Realization (Urza recognizing Mishra is compleated)..etc. Apparently the set will tell the whole story.

Note that both stories actually cover the aftermath of the Brothers' War, including preview art of old Kayla and probable card art of old Tawnos.
...because Teferi and Kaya undershot their first time travel jump backwards.
...and Teferi kick-started a ghost story that quite a few Dominarians remembered for some time, so this kinda looks like a "forced-predestination-instead-of-actually-kill-your-boy-grandfather-and-change-history-Tarkir-style" version of time travel.
Current prediction: Teferi Shows Up And Inadvertently Helps Urza Win A War. (Consistent with later history, nobody will credit Teferi for this.)

This is the correct depiction of Gix during the brothers war
which I believe matches the picture shown.

this could be based off of the fact that Gix manipulated both sides of the war.
