I'm no expert on the older stories, so I'll leave it to others to say what to make of this. It seems like they used a later (unnamed) appearance of the character to justify ignoring him getting incinerated?
Soramaro, I think that the New Benalia integrated its history with the new look, the stained glass visuals (used for the first time in the dome on the FS card) became a defining element in Dominaria (even the set logo is a New Benalian shield).
And the NB card never implied that the knight tradition vanished. In fact, the opposite. The knights endured through the temporal crisis.
OK, to be fair I did assume that the stained glass aesthetic had been part of the pre-Time Spiral Benalian aesthetic. Looking through cards with "Benalia" and "Benalish" in the name, that apparently isn't the case. I'd still wish we saw more echoes of the Time Spiral era, especially the overall environment (and not just Benalia). For example, why not show Goblin settlements built on top of collapsed "stone obelisk" mountains or new Tolarian academies amid old slag island formations?
I like what they did with new Argive though. As Ethan said in the worldbuilding video, it's a bit of a shame that there's no real avenue for Magic to portray things like the city that folds in on itself in the actual card art.

Pretty much, yes. The way Maro presents the story, Ethan saw Ertai's death in the Invasion block as the actual continuity violation (because the narrator of Rath and Storm was supposed to be an elderly Ertai), and resurrecting Ertai was simply correcting that mistake (and setting up his future de-compleation? Food for thought...) Your mileage may vary as to whether two wrongs make a right when it comes to playing with continuity.

I will point out that a number of lands (Adarker Wastes, Yavimaya Coast regular art, Island #267) appear to show partially-collapsed stone obelisk mountains, and two of the Plains (262, 264) show vegetation growing over the salt wastes. Having said that, I completely agree. More visual nods, especially on the red cards, would have been greatly appreciated.
My favourite bit of the story so far was when Ajani was very sus (haha) and he vented then Karn said that Ajani sus and he saw him killing Jaya but he got himself ejected instead, certified hood classic.
...God, that was physically painful to read. I don't know why nobody's talking about the author deliberately doing in your face Among Us references every two paragraphs with Jodah even name dropping it.

I don't think those are stone obelisks, but rather nondescript "ruins from olden Thran times" that suddenly got dropped all over Dominaria in 2018. They are part of the "Dominaria is the history world now" redressing.

For me, it's just that I don't know anything about Among Us except for the name and the basic premise. The concept of an imposter hiding in a group of heroes is so basic that I hardly see it as a reference.
I'd still wish we saw more echoes of the Time Spiral era, especially the overall environment (and not just Benalia). For example, why not show Goblin settlements built on top of collapsed "stone obelisk" mountains or new Tolarian academies amid old slag island formations?

Those stone obelisks are actually thran ruins. They decided with Dominaria (the set) that the world should show the Thran more prominently than it did before, because history world and all, remember.
As for the salt wastes, I think Plains #262 shows the balduvian steppe, because the big mech is a holdover from the brother's war (as per the worldbuilding video), so it has to be on Terisiare. Plains #264 could be the area around Koilos, as we see in the invasion art, it's surrounded by desert. The plants look like succulents instead of pioneer plants recolonizing barren land.
While we're on the topic of basic lands, the worldbuilding video mentioned that there's three "cycles" of basic lands: One shows phyrexian wreckage, one shows ancient mechs and ruins from the brother's war era and/or the thran era and the third cycle shows a legendary artifact.
For the third we have: Karn on Plains #264, the Argosy on Island #267, the (compleated?) Weatherlight on Swamp #268 and the Mana Rig on Mountain #271.
However, which artifact is shown in the forests? #274 is clearly overgrown mechs. #276 looks like some overgrown phyrexian tech. But what artifact is seen on #275. All I see in the background is a dragon? So unless it's Draco, I don't think that's a legendary artifact. Did they maybe mean legends in general?

What.
The word "suspect" literally shows up 4 times in all 5 main stories. You know, a normal word of the english language that is entirely appropriate to use in this context. Maybe nobody is talking about the Among Us references because there are none. Have you ever watched The Thing?
So one thing that's been irking me and hasn't been explained anywhere as far as I know.
Does anyone know what those giant centipede and/or phyrexian worm looking things are in the background of Academy Wall and Soaring Drake? According to the flavour text both are located in Lat-Nam. Is this just some landmark of the Lat-Nam academy? A ruin left over from the invasion? Something new? A Realmbreaker root? If it was the latter, I would have expected it to be highlighted because that's a huge deal.
The Academy Wall also has some weird stuff embedded into it. Could be phyrexian tech, or realmbreaker stuff? Or something else entirely?

That's just the Yavimaya elves (new) look. I don't mind it. Makes each society a bit more distinct.
