Yup its Tezzeret. I almost wonder if it was an experiment to see vorinclex could survive. Not good the metal bits of phyrexia can survive and heal up using Tezzerets bridge.
Also Family Tree;
Alrund is the patriarch, brother to Jorn and "married" to Cosima. They have three kids Toralf, Birgi, and Kolvori as well as Halvar being adopted by Alrund. Alrund tries to use rune magic to talk to the world tree which got us Tergrid and Esika so "children" of Alrund as well it seem. That just leaves Reidane, Egon and Valki as unknown but likely could be Alrund siblings. Reidane deeply likes the Beskir clan for saving Alrunds so she seems have a connection to him.

well vorinclex had to eat a truck load of stuff to regenerate the flesh on his body
I would say tezzert knows about the tyrite and suggested to get a sample to test for the bridge if it can keep the flesh part on the phyrexians on them when they go threw the bridge, but he’s never been to kaldheim
now The big question is what deal did tezzert make with the praetors for his bridge to test for plane traveling we know he has connections to Jin-Gitaxas and we also know tezzert wanted the throne karn almost got from almost being fully corrupted until he got cured just in the nick of time
So...
Any thoughts on the new installment of the main story?
I thought Kaya's insights into what it really means to be a planeswalker were quite thought-provoking.
-Again like Zendikar I think my only biggest issues is wanting more. A few things (the elves deciding not to kill the gods, Tyver switching around about planeswalkers, meeting the gods ect) all felt very rushed but I think it could have been fixed with more chapters on it.
-Biggest of note: Kaya doesn't kill Vorinclex.
-Kaya ends the story with Tyver and Niko being a walker mentor
-Vorinclex kills Esika (RIP) and takes some of the god exiliar. And while it seems like the likely candidate is Tezzeret the epilogue hints there might be more to this.

The voice from the portal said
"Welcome back, Vorinclex. We step ever closer to perfection."
thats 1 million percent something Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur would say could they have set aside their differences? Because I thought Jin hated vorinclex
and Also weird did the the praetors know about the tyrite all along? since they wanted a sample of it.
vorinclex yelled out for the portal and their it was...
how can it be tezzert if he can summon a portal by just calling/talking (in ixalan bolas gave vraska a spell so he can tell tezzert where she was and where the sun was)
the phyrexians variant of Planar Bridge must be eons more complex and the fact they can use walkie talkies outside new phyrexia means they can just spy on other planes
tinfoil hat theory: kaya's onslaught was done from time travel like Karn did to stop K'rrick from causing that invasion.so in a future set to prevent them from ever getting the tyrite
I definitely don't think the voice was Jin Gitaxias. I could jsut be wrong and going with what a higher quality story would do (i like the story fine, but the WotS arc was full of us coming up with ideas a million times more sophisticated than what we got, we just can't confuse them with people tying to take a creative new path) but Esika specifically noting that the voice was more alien makes me think it's not a praetor. Could be some new hidden overlord.
With a higher level of writing i would say that hint is definitely something bigger than a praetor, just for sure. with Wizards though, it's just as possible that it's a praetor and a sloppy style choice.

yea
oh the alien voice theory your kidding right?
1. It litterally said “welcome back vorinclex”
2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdDXMG9jvwg The weird voice reading the scriptures literally sounds alien like voice and clearly it’s a safe bet it was a random phyrexian reading it.
though kind of weird vorinclex didn’t compleated her then she would have gone with him and they would had a phyrexian version of esika which would have the recipe then the phyrexians would get the divinity rather than the Norse gods
Oh by the way looking on reddit it just hit me why vorinclex wanted tibalt to distract them
the Whole gods fighting during doomkar which is what tibalt wanted
but What vorinclex wanted.... so the 11 gods are distracted to focus on protecting esika the god who makes the tyrite so there was next to none defense to retrieve the tyrite so maybe with whatever technology the phyrexians had they knew where she and the sanctum was the whole time
oh And I feel guilty but I missed this
vorinclex's words to esika
"Not enough hunger in you. Not enough fear to survive. Soon, though."
Soon, though
You what the means...
vorinclex may have planted oil in her to compleat her!
if they have the tyrite, then their probably gonna try to augment the other phyrexians with it right? well what other magical metals could they try to find..?
lazotep
and
etherium
if their not ramping up to tyrite, etherium, and lazotep infused phyrexians, then im not sure what else....
Read my post again. It's obviously a Phyrexian, I said i didn't think it was Jin Gitaxias or another Praetor. As a matter of fact, I think it was the big Phyrexian in the video you posted. It has been my thought since I first saw it that that art is some hidden new Yawgmoth type king, above and beyond the praetors. They gave the Eldrazi AND Bolas pretty lame ends, they need some new face of the threat, and no monocolor 1 of 5 feels like it fits.

really that’s interesting theory sorry for thr mis communication.
but one problem though didn't they attempt to give karn that role but They failed thanks to vensor sacrificing himself?
First of all I want to mention how good the Ranar story was. Just a cool story.
The "Battle for Kaldheim" was a little messy but everyone is just wanting to know the epilogue of course..
It was emphasized that Esika's inner sanctum was hidden and no one had found her there... so .. some phyrexian spying or just investigating by Vorinclex while on Kaldheim?
He didn't poison the tyrite with oil which even the author seems to want us to see as surprising....
Instead collecting it .. implicating a knowledge of what it does...
Calling for a "portal"
The other voice I find described in just a different way than they said vorinclex was a weird synthesized mash up, so I see it as just another Phyrexian
But who??

he probably didn't need to contaminate it because esika might do it for him. He said “soon tough” after he mentioned not enough hunger nor fear to survive. Which might mean he planted glistening oil (ichor) in her to eventually be compleated
secondly he took the tyrite so they can test if that will be enough to prevent organic matter from being destroyed upon entering the portal if it works they will reproduce it.
I enjoyed the Final Battle story and if I have much criticism, it's not directed at this particular story, but rather WotC's failure to accurately depict the story through the cards. Kaya, Tyvar and Niko were fun to read here, though I'm still confused as to the persuasive logic Tyvar used to persuade his brother to aide rather than war against the current roster of gods.
From one strategic point of view, the battle was a perfect opportunity to deal a terrible blow to the Skoti.
I would have loved to see Narfi's face when the Cosmos Serpent invaded his realm, and would love to see a D&D campaign that had as its goal the search for and rescue of Valki.
The story team is getting better at telling stories on paper, now they just need to do better at showing that via cardboard.

Probably I missed something (didn't follow the lore lately), but Tibalt wasn't put in prison or something by Chandra? How did he escape it? It's another one retcon like Garruk and Odric?
Nothing on Rat and Teyo? Weren't they supposed to be with Kaya?
And Valki... is he still chained up in the basement without anybody knowing it?! Poor guy...
it’s blue when opened how can it be the planar bridge when the one vorinclex enter to go back was red
it (might) mean(s) either jin-Gitaxas cracked it he may have repaired menarch planar bridge or someone else is father/mother of machines who made it happen

I really wish we could use the colour and shape of the portal to discern who arranged all of this, but I mean, WotC can't even seem to get their Story Spotlights to accurately reflect the story canon as written by the Story Team, so I'm suspicious of the idea that they'd pay any closer attention to finer details such as a portal's pattern and colour.
I hope I'm wrong.

Possible. One of Old Phyrexia's greatest weaknesses was its over-reliance upon its master Yawgmoth and the means and ends associated with B mana. Yet there are costs to being leaderless as well and you may be correct in the inference.
New Phyrexia is more diverse in its mana base and colour philosophy, but it is currently lacking a multi-coloured leader that can unite all of its individual parts (including Red). Maybe this is a feature, and not a bug but there's pros and cons to either strategy.
Maybe Strixhaven will provide further clues as to what (and who) we're dealing with here?

I kind of hope that the last side-story addresses this, but it will most probably be centered on Lathril, as the previous one was on Ranar.
Let this great clan rest in peace (2001-2011)

they are probably trying to make their own and tyrite is one ingrediant
