^ Eh, I took that more as they knew each other's names, not that they named each other. Being twins and all. I doubt they've got a Voldemort/Harry Potter shared fate type of situation (on top of that being totally lame).
They just, from a writing standpoint, didn't want to introduce them the way the other three were. "I am Nicol Bolas! And I .... need help getting out of this." "I am Ugin, yeah here I come." Wouldn't exactly have the same impact as the previously introduced dragons.
Perhaps that’s the reason why both of them could survive in spiritual forms (Nicol after the Madara incident and Ugin after his fight with him) perhaps that naming the name of one another link their destinies

If I was a telepath and saw Bolas's memories of being born (if I somehow had access to his memories in the first place), I'd probably keep it to myself, because I'd prefer to keep my mind.
So were those hunters humans...I thought Elder Dragons were older then Humans....and they already have armored horses and domesticated dogs apparently.

And stone settlements or some kind of constructive methodology(i guess)(but with dogs that is kinda ok)

Retcon everywere.
I don't mind Bolas being related to Ugin but that stuff plus an Elder Dragon even a young one going down so easily is just sad. Silly Retcons.

Humans seem to be once again the dominant species.
If we consider the Equilorians humans (at Urza's and Xantcha's eyes they appeared so), they started their ascension 100,000 years ago, when Bolas was only a thought in the mind of the Ur-Dragon.

I am talking about on Dominaria.
Also Equilorians wow is that a deep dive into irrelevance.

Perhaps they were elder humans brought into existence by the Ur-Human

Nothing says the hunters are human. Plus it mentions Ugin, Bolas and their sister are cosindered runts and the first thing we see of Bolas is him trapped under branches, not uncommon to think a mob can take down a runtly elderling that more hunger then brains.

Well one breathes fire and can fly and comes in to existence with some level of intelligence so yeah I expect a Dragon to at least put up more a fight against some ice age level hunters...
Equilorians are my favourite people from Magic! They, they'll return... you'll see! (If Elder Dragons did it, why not Equilorians?)
By the way, it is specified the plane were the Elder Dragons were "spawned" was Dominaria? I didn't read it.
Would you mind if they came back as Villains? Some human villains might be a nice change of pace.
No it just says not Tarkir. So the default assumption is Dominaria. [/quote]
Well, when Urza warned about Phyrexia, they almost laugh to its face, seeing they have no enemies, and if they can only be found only if they so desire. They basically put Urza and Yawgmoth to shame, so they would be a really powerful and intriguing villain (if their power is still up after the Mending...)
Anyone noice a parallel between Ugin / Bolas and Yasova’s twin grandchildren? Both are twins, one of them is very into hunting (Bolas) and the other is more calm and shamanistic (Ugin).
So seven eggs intially fall...
Arcades Sabbath (the biggest and brightest egg) (GWU)
Chromium Rhuell (BUW)
Palladia Mors (WGR)
(Dead) (??) (RWB or URW)
(Dead) (??) (URW or RWB)
Merrevia Sal (smaller egg) (BGU?? Primary color green??)
Nicol and Ugin (smaller egg) (UBR) & (GUR?? link to temur shamans? Primary color blue?)
then chromium see another fall over another mountain...
(Vasvectis Asmadi???) (BRG)
The art in the story looks closest to Vaevictis Asmadi out of the original five to me. Palladia-Mors has distinct curved horns.
And it seems like it would make sense, spatial orientation wasn't quite clear but Chromium was like "hey let's check out if there are cousins over there" and Vaevictis is canonically a cousin to the others, so Bolas and Ugin may have stumbled upon him.
Piru could round out the wedge dragons if that's where they go with that. I kind of thought Ugin might just be GW to balance Bolas but there are reasonable arguments for a lot of things.

Wooow!!! I didn’t noted that difference... I wonder if the human twins will suffer the same fate as the dragons twins

The story says Palladia has spiral horns (which the art has (spiralled vertically up) and says they are going hunting for the grazing animals. Then Bolas sees a dragon hunting a herd of animals then there is the art placement. The original pictures of the Elder five probably wont look too much like the new arts I would think.

Certainly possible, but it also describes her as reddish-green twice, and I don't think that fits the art. Vaevictis is a lot darker.
Anyway, will be fun to see the new Arcades Sabboth as well, whose characteristic seems to be...wearing a cape?
Other than Bolas's first planeswalker duel, I would love to see the origins of the Primevals here. A reference to the possibility of them being wedge colors instead (Planar Chaos cycle) would be great and for complete satisfaction I would love to see Sivitri Scarzam and the Scarzam dragons explained.

I have read enough fantasy to know when a group gloats about being untouchable it ends poorly for them.
