When the ineffable one died all current phyrexians went into a stupor. During this time all of the ones on Dominaria were dismantled. On Phyrexia, the plane had just been devastated to a point of inoperablity by Urza and his powersuit clad army of planeswalkers with their mana bombs. Karona summons a vestige of Yawgmoth as the embodiment of black mana in hopes to make friends, he says that he is in ruins and needs mana and would like to be her friend if she would only come visit, she is freaked out by him and declines his offer of friendship. This event is odd in cannon mostly because one of the other beings summoned has no recollection of this event(teferi), because they go out of their way to mention that he has no recollection of the event it should mean it wasn't simply forgotten. A fairly good, but unconfirmed, theory is that after Karona summoned Lowallyn(ixidor) he created illusions of her other summons because of the danger that Karona posed if she became more aware of what she was. The Phyrexians on Phyrexia haven't really been mentioned since then.
Yeah, that definitely was not the real Yawgmoth whom Karona conversed with, who was both no longer a physical entity and dead by that point. Either the summons were just creations of her diseased mind or whether Lowallyn, as you said, tricked her is unclear.
Realistically, with Yawgmoth dead and the plane itself heavily damaged, wouldn't Phyrexia have collapsed by now since it was an artificial plane that no longer has anything sustaining it?

When reading into The Thran, Yawgmoth's biologic study of mineral is highlighted. The Phyrexian oil which Karn transferred; to what would become Mirrodin; was mentioned in Scourge which; in his absence with Memnarch to ponder with (especially in multilayer.) ;Could have been a nanotechnological reserve for making safe progress back to expanding ability; like Flowstone and beyond; once again.
I feel the reference is to the nanotechnology available by refining the #CommonBinary to even further than Nanoscopic leveling for storage of motion combined with the magic of Endurance. The referencing to certain metals reacting to waves in different ways Yawgmoth is responsible for is FANTASTIC but I still cannot forgive or forget for Glacien Rebbec in the story of The Thran.
It seems to never have been explored or maybe I am missing some info on this?
