Wasn't the Planar Bridge destroyed long ago by Kandra-Gideon's Kamikaze missile?
It's also depicted in Dark Intimations for Tezzy looking at the wreckage probably thinking oh *****
It's hinted in story (the way Tez's arm glows when Liliana confronts him) and outright stated in the art book, that Tez incorporated the planar bridge's core into his arm prior to its destruction.
Jace in the story knew it, but how? I thought no one in the Gatewatch noticed that Tezz has the technology, they only know that Bolas wants it perhaps to transport the army, but thought Tezz failed. Did his superficial touching of Bola's private (mind) gave away that info?
I'd hate to see Ravnica became the center of planes. The plane has great design, politics and guilds entwined, but it can also become repetitive. Dominaria is the only plane that has stories and cultures spamming across dozens of expansions within itself, while other planes mostly have one theme/goal.
We can presume that the so-called "trap" Ugin set for Bolas are the dragons he generated via Dragon Tempest, and he was also mindful enough to teach the locals morph magic for protection, guess he's not entirely heartless.
While I would be a little disappointed with such a transition, it does make sense from a marketing perspective.
I think we ought consider the possibility that Dominaria may become the new Equilor- an ancient place whose importance is now peripheral to main plot lines, with Ravnica becoming The New Wheel or Nexus of the Multiverse.
I doubt that Dominaria will become entirely obsolete, not with all the fanfare its return is getting. They might remove its cosmic importance, but I think it will always be there, as a kind of a living historical monument, like if the US moved its capital from DC to New York City.
Would the Izzit, Rakdos, and Dimir fight with Bolas or Jace?
Dimir would join Bolas for sure, Rakdo is all about fun so he might just sit this one out, the only guild i think would 100% fight for Jace would be the Boros
Why would Jace decide to ask for Niv Mizzet's help instead of Ugin's? He knows for a fact that Ugin knows about Bolas and wants to kill him, while Niv could be either completely in the dark about Bolas or be working for Bolas already thanks to the Ral Zarek connection. Plus Ugin presumably has his own plans and planeswalker minions that would be more helpful to combat Bolas. This seems like something that should have been addressed - at the very least, they could have said that Jace thought of Ugin but decided he couldn't trust him due to the manipulation. Regardless, it's clear that while they're setting up for Bolas on Ravnica, they've consciously decided to keep Ugin mostly or entirely out of the picture. Since there doesn't seem to be much else to do with Ugin than to set up a giant interplanar war with Bolas, I have a feeling that we're not going to see the last of Bolas on Ravnica. Obviously WotC won't completely sacrifice Ravnica because they want to continue making money, so either Bolas is driven off of Ravnica but lives to fight another day, or he conquers Ravnica successfully but leaves the guilds somewhat intact, so that eventually we can have another true Ravnica set.
There's no guarantee that Ugin is still on Zendikar. If Jace goes to Zendikar and Ugin isn't there, he has no way to find him. Also, Ugin's not a fan of when Jace's own plans messing up with his own agenda. Assuming he does tell Ugin of his plan, Ugin might just outright kill Jace in fear of Jace ruining any surprise factor Ugin might have for Bolas.

That's definitely true. But I just wish they would have let the thought occur to Jace, even if they had him decide otherwise for entirely valid reasons like the one you mentioned. It just seems like with all the focus on Ugin and how effective he could be against Bolas, it would be at least worth mentioning at that point in the story, even if they ultimately go in an entirely different direction.
I'm not quite sure if Bolas plans to use the Immortal Sun solely for planeswalkers or he's going to use it to amplify his powers when he tries to conquer Ravnica. Very interesting story direction. But I'm also wondering what Jace is going to do in...Dominaria? I mean, I don't remember Jace visiting Dominaria before so who are those 'friends' he mentioned briefly? And Ugin...oh dear Ugin why would you align with a stupid sphinx...!!??!!
One thought I'm having about Bolas's plans for Ravnica, if the conceit is that it's going to be the new center of the Multiverse. Namely, the shift isn't going to start for another few decades in-universe. Bolas, however, wants to be in control of the plane before then. We don't know if there's anything special that happens when the center shifts, but if there is, I imagine Bolas will be in a prime position to reap the benefits if he's already ruler of Ravnica. Point being, so long as the shift isn't sudden, but gradual, there could be cause to focus on Dominaria and Ravnica simultaneously for the next few years.
EDIT: Now that I think of it, didn't Rosewater mention that the year-labeled core sets portrayed Shandalar in part because Dominaria had been given a post-apocalyptic timbre via Time Spiral? Maybe that's why they're considering shifting centers--Dominaria's current "hat" isn't as appealing as Ravnica's, and they don't have any short- or long-term plans to remove that hat.

Ajani told the rest of the Gatewatch he was going to Dominaria after Kaladesh, iirc. He's hoping to meet up with them there - recalling that he planeswalked away before Bolas laid the whupping on the rest of the Gatewatch, thanks to Ugin's little tripwire. He's probably pretty anxious to find out what happened to them.
Story is pretty fun lately, this is minor but just wondering if it makes sense to anyone else.
Who originally built Orazca? Azor came back, gave the Sun to the...Sun Empire for a while, then decided to hide with it and told the River Heralds to keep it secret or something, right? Was Orazca built during the Sun Empire's reign?
So he took the fabulous golden city, gathered Elder Dinosaurs there for some reason, and then kind of buried it underground or something? And everybody forgot where it was even though it's more or less next to a navigable river that goes all the way to the ocean?
I think the main reason Jace won't go to Ugin is because when Ugin basically said "I hope I never see you morons again," it was probably in a way that left litle ambiguity as to how displeased Ugin would be with another Jace interaction.
Also, I think Jace knows Niv-Mizzet better, and feels he can trust him a bit more because Niv-Mizzet is of the plane. And considering he's the one who kicked off the whole Implicit Maze thing in the first place, is clearly invested in not letting Ravnica be destroyed. Ugin's methods are a little less... plane specific.

Also it'd probably be easier to convince Niv-Mizzet to throw down against Bolas since his ego doesn't allow for another dragon as smart as, or smarter than, he is.
Speaking of which, Jace doesn't yet know that Ral is working for Bolas, and Niv-Mizzet probably doesn't either. This has the potential to screw up the plan.
Ehhhh.... nothing really catches my attention aside from the fact that just about whatever we have guessed have been officially written in the website.
Also, since presumably the floor falling out from under everyone on the Immortal Sun is from Tezzeret bringing it into the portal (would it really be that difficult for them to line up the timing properly?) wouldn't it make sense for them all to fall into the portal as well? I feel like they'll most likely have the portal disappear just in time and let all the characters hit the ground and survive, but it would be a great plot twist if they all ended up in the blind eternities instead. Huatli and Angrath would survive, of course, since they're planeswalkers; Tishana and Vona would be vaporized (though it would be kind of cool for Tishana's last words to be a resolution of her cryptic nature metaphors about planeswalking, right before she's vaporized); while the rest of the characters were all either above or to the side of the Immortal Sun so they wouldn't fall in. Again, I don't think this is the direction they'll go, especially since we're yet to see Huatli summon Zacama, but it would be an abrupt plot twist that would result in a couple unexpected deaths. But the portal will probably conveniently close just in time to keep them alive, what a surprise.

Are we sure organic mateiral can go through the portal/ The story explicitly mentioned that by coating the eternals in lazotep, they went from being organic to inorganic, and thus usable with the portal.
I was disappointed how Azor was handled. The ending this week was a bit abrupt. But I got emotional when I read "Vraska heard the sound of rain" - The Vaska and Jace arc is some of the best material I've read in Magic in a long while.
Niv against Bolas. Holy Thassa.
That said, an Amonkhet slaughtering of Ravnica legends, even as someone who loathes the plane, would be pretty lame. Look what became of Azor, now that he's no longer a walker. Will Niv be another Lorthos? We'll see. It's probably reasonable enough.
I wonder why Jace would even think Niv could stand a chance against Bolas. Did he not just come from a plane where gods were subjugated (with ease) by him? Not to mention a team of planeswalkers being handily brushed aside... Unless he thinks they'd agree to a wrestling match, I'm unconvinced about that notion. This whole plan actually. But I'm sure creative will force it to make sense.

Isperia x Bolas wrestling match....
He's not going for a Niv vs. Bolas fist fight. He thinks Niv might actually be able to outsmart the guy.
In fact, this ties in a bit with Ral's plan to sabotage Project Lightning Bug. What if it wasn't out of a fear that Niv-Mizzet would capture and perform expirements on Planeswalkers... but to prevent the knowledge to keep him from learning about Bolas and formulating a plan?

Are we sure organic mateiral can go through the portal/ The story explicitly mentioned that by coating the eternals in lazotep, they went from being organic to inorganic, and thus usable with the portal.
That's kid of the problem. Organic matter can go into the portal (Rashmi and Mitul originally tested it using a flower in a vase), the problem if that it is then exposed, unprotected, to the Blind Eternities which destroys organic matter that isn't shielded by a planeswalker's spark (or other mechanism).
Sultai was pointing out that if the other were standing on top of the Immortal Sun when it got pulled through the portal, then logically they would have fallen into the portal and died.
the big question this brings up is whether Ugin tried to contact Azor in any way after his resurrection. (i guess the obvious answer is no). Ugin's first concern were Nahiri and the Eldrazi when he awoke. Why wouldn't he be as concerned with his now stranded ally and their plan to subdue THE GUY THAT JUST BEAT HIM WITHIN AN INCH OF HIS LIFE?
Cause Ugin is the Good Guy Version of Nicol Bolas, his talk about "friend" and "ally" was bunk.
Anybody else feel like Bolas' end game is a bit underwhelming?
I am still not convinced that Ravnica in and of itself is the Eternal Leviathan's end game, there has got to be something on Ravnica he wants, Ravnica itself was originally a place that was a battle ground for Planeswalker's and their armies IIRC, there could be some artifact..deep down that he really wants.
Also, Azor's opinion upon meeting Ugin isn't very rosy. calling him a friend seemed a bit tongue in cheek. Wondering if most MTG Vorthoses looking at Ugin as the "good" answer to Bolas might be a bit skewed?
Ugin is a Thousands year old Elder Dragon who has transcended color.."Good" is a sliding scale sometimes. Nothing about Ugin that we have seen have actively showed us that he was a "Good guy" just not..maliciously evil like Nicol Bolas.
I mean, how did that human lawmage snuck up eavesdropping on TWO gods? And it is very odd that for a PW as secretive as Ugin he would arrive in broad daylight in front of so many people. Illusion/memory is Ugin's field, and he didn't think about covering up his own presence? That's no less stupid compare to Azor and his statues.
Oldwalkers had some real inflated Egos some days, it is well within reason that neither of them thought beyond "Even if Nicol Bolas finds this place, anyone who hears this conversation will be a thousand years dead so it doesn't matter." Ugin at least seems to have a bit of Blue in his personality and..Blue central characters can be..bad at people.
Also it'd probably be easier to convince Niv-Mizzet to throw down against Bolas since his ego doesn't allow for another dragon as smart as, or smarter than, he is.
There is also the fact that he is the GuildPact and his word is law, about the only guilds I can see trying to work with Nicol are The Dimir and the Orzhov both of which are in places to..not be "lawful" and to "use the law to their own ends." Rakdos are chaotic but are are too short sighted to really try to subvert the Guildpact..and The Gruul would be like "Ruled by an elder dragon? AWW HECK NO"
Nicol Bolas and the Eternals vs Ravnica should be a good show at least for Popcorn purposes, Bolas has his pretty well indestructible army, but Ravnica got a big ole stable of heavy hitters and insane things on their own. Borborygmos on his own could probably punt a good few eternals across the city.

I'm confused about the Tarkir part though. If I recall correctly, Sarkhan started on his path to Tarkir and eventually wound up saving Ugin because he was constantly hearing Ugin whisper in his mind to come to Ugin's Nexus. But there's no logical reason why Ugin would implant such a thing in Sarkhan's mind prior to his defeat by Nicol Bolas on Tarkir. But he couldn't have done it afterwards because he was wel, dead.
Maybe it's just me but it feels chronologically messed up? Or will we at some point learn that Sarkhan was already under Ugin's control when he started working for Bolas and the whisper thing was just a beacon home in case something happened? And his time tampering was also unforeseen by Ugin, meaning Sarkhan Unbroken is the first time he is truly free from Draconic influence? But then why did Sarkhan bring the hedron cocoon with him if that was unforeseen? Kind of convenient to just randomly have one when you happen to need one.
