MtG is where you can hate white players or black players, and still not be racist.

Not really. Its a cute thought for is humans but to characters like Lily or Bolas its not equivalent. Your offspring aren't you. Even of they have half of your genetics(hell even 100% as a clone) they're still going to be different. I'm sure Lily has slept her way across the multiverse. In the old webcomics she was caught in a closet with some dude before she sparked. But I cant see her wanting to keep and raise a child. Its just not like her. And I imagine Bolas just doesn't have time. Dragons are umbelievably long lived anyway. Hell aince we don't know how long the average Elder Dragon's life span is he and Ugin may as well be effevlctively immortal. And what if Little Nicy doesnt want to run the family business when pops bites the big one? For someone whos whole shtick is getting HIS power back "immortality" via offspring just doesn't do it.
I can't tell which conversation in this thread I'm less into, Color Pie Debate #57,023,769,327,693, or the one about the current state of Liliana's womb.
We do seem to have gotten a bit far afield from the thread subject, haven't we?
It's not like we have something to talk about, we are almost 3 months away from any story, i wish they'd give us some side stories until RIX comes out, but i doubt that will happen.
I know. I'm still dying to know how the story with Teysa/Tajic and Karlov will continue but it's been a cliffhanger for a couple of years now.

Even worse, what if Little Nicy decides he doesn't want to just patiently wait for daddy to shuffle off this mortal coil?
Bolas strikes me as the type who wouldn't procreate because he refuses to give life to his own rival. Note that I said procreate, not create. Bolas has himself stated that he's sired multiple races, which he would naturally view as inferior and ultimately non-threatening or easily kept in line.

Remember the two of our most black planeswalkers..were also Old Walkers, and..I doubt that pregnancy was a common thing among old walkers seeing as their physical forms were simply projections of their will and minds, it could be..problematic if you were to say..forget you were pregnant.
Well, in a sense Nicol Bolas is a father... he himself said "I have sired whole races, populated entire planes, and then hunted them to extinction for my amusement." However, no "true" children for Nicol Bolas, he's not Deathwing.

In prerevisionist sources, planewalkers could be pregnant (Kristina of the Woods and Jared Carthalion would have had a child in an unpublished comic)... granted, it never happened because it was never published, but if Teferi could catch a cold, I think a PW could get pregnant.
Well the revision is when planeswalkers went from "Absurdly powerful mages" to "Near Gods whose physical bodies don't truly matter..except that they are used to having physical forms." wasn't it?
Isn't Ugin technically a daddy too, since his dragonstorms are what spawn the Tarkir dragons?
That would be one heck of a child support bill. Hundreds of dragons per year, over thousands of years..Ugin better get a job.
When your children can support themselves as soon as they're born, you as the parent wouldn't have to worry. It's the other races going extinct that you have to worry about, which is why he taught the non-dragon races some of his colorless magic in the form of manifest and Ghostfire.
Speaking of Ugin, I'm honestly not sure if I want him to be the walker that created Ixalan's Binding in the first place. There are clues that support his involvement in the weird phenomena on the plane, but I think it'd be neater if Elenda or another being we've never met was the origin of the binding and/or the Sun. It'd make the multiverse feel a bit bigger that way IMO.

Maybe the binding was created in response to Immortal Sun being stolen, so it doesn't go out of world.

Maybe, but I think the architect behind both is the same entity, so what I'm saying is that it'd be neater (IMO) if said architect was a new character.
On an unrelated note, I hope we get to see Torrezon or at least glimpses of it in the Ixalan story and/or the cards. Chances are, we won't see it in full until a Return to Ixalan set, but still.
Well the revision is when planeswalkers went from "Absurdly powerful mages" to "Near Gods whose physical bodies don't truly matter..except that they are used to having physical forms." wasn't it?
In a sense, yes. I believe however Teferi's cold was post revisionist (even if at the time he didn't know he was a PW).
Wasn't Ugin in charge of powering the hedrons on Zendikar with colorless binding magic as well? It's fairly obvious by this point I'd say. Almost to the point of Emrakul being on Innistrad. Which incidentally, many people still resisted until her name was officially mentioned.
SimicNuggets: Other than the mandala shown by the Binding, Ugin would be the most likely. However, Azor is also known to be a parun, and presuming that the Azorius guild took its cue from its parun (like every other guild), also had a most interesting involvement with binding / restriction, and is known to have a symbol that looks remarkably like the binding mandala.
Having said all that, I don't think that believing Ugin is the one who set all of this up is at all wrong. Beyond the above, the primary reason for arguing for Azor is that it naturally leads back to Ravnica, which both protagonists (Jace and Vraska) care about a great deal. This all being set up by Ugin does... what, narratively, besides reminding everyone that Ugin still exists?

That makes me wonder if Azor is actually dead or not. Also, there was this crazy theory suggested by someone here some time ago that Azor and Ugin may actually be the same person. As funny as that would be, I don't think I'd be OK with that.
That would fit a little too well into a Ravnica return, if it's Azor. Also considering it's a name the average consumer of this game wouldn't even know a single thing about, that's a hard sell. We already know Wizards doesn't like to use obscure characters as main plot "twists." Their twists are hardly ever twists, because of this. Besides, Dominaria is next. You think they'd expect people to hold interest for Azor while we wait for the return to return to Ravnica? It's a nice thought, but I don't think so.
Is Jace going to be in Dominaria? It'd be really nice to have a set without Jace.
Amonkhet block, Kaldesh block, BtZ block, Tarkir Block, Theros Block, Innistrad Block, Mirrodin 2 block, Alara Block all had sets with out Jace.

Please tell me more about how Jace wasn't in Amonkhet, Kaledesh, BfZ, or Shadows over Innistrad.
Easy search through gather and you won't find can any jace cards in Ampnkeht, Kaladesh and BtZ Also when did I mention SOI?
Storyline wise since origins all the Gatewatch 5 have been in all the story with Liliana only in the BtZ prologue. Also what did Jace really do during Kaladesh storyline? I'm not a Jace fan but you Jace bashers need to chill, he's the most popular walker so he gets a slight higher % of spotlight.

I am not sure we are going to see a full set of "what happened to the gatewatch after Bolas beat them." blocks simply because that would drag that particular plot thread on for at least another year.
We're already seeing it with Jace, and it's the most likely plot for Liliana. Three more would bring us into early 2019.
The issue is that Kaladesh was likely going to be this plotline for Chandra, but when it was switched around with Amonkhet that has obviously fizzled out. So I honestly don't know what plot they'd follow-up on her with.
Wouldn't it be a great opportunity to take us to Regatha, Chandra's adopted plane? It's almost certain that would have been her go-to retreat plane after the Bolas defeat (aside from Kaladesh, which seems ruled out now).
