I hope they don't pull a "lol, Time Spiral Jodah was an alternate one, real one is gone/dead/shoved somewhere and forgotten" on us.
They were already hinting at that at the end of Future Sight. Saying that the Jodah from Spiral block could be from an alternate timeline left them a convenient loophole to exploit if they ever needed his appearance to not be canon. You know, like they just did with Jaya.
Yah you know, that portion of magic they have actively said was a mistake. I'm not certain how they are going to fit Dominaria into the 'world of hats' but I'm certain that's what they are doing.
I don't know if they said it was a "mistake". Mechanically, everything before about Tempest is weird. But flavorwise is another thing; the only problem for early Magic in flavor is early planeswalkers' nigh-omnipotence. Just remember to wear your pastels to the prerelease.
The mistakes where 1) having a game about wizards who can travel between worlds then focus on only one world for ~20+ sets in a row and B) use up many ideas for new worlds as contents on Dominaria turing into the opposite of a plant of hats, which also the biggest issue they had retuning to it.
I wonder if WotC are thinking about using Bolas to destroy their mistake...
They had their chance with Time Spiral and Dragon's Maze.

As usual, you have whining about it in the replies, which is getting old to me at this point.
Preaching to the choir.
Anyways the only I think card wise we'll see is Ajani and Liliana (which them together would be a fun to see in a they want to kill each other kinda way). I could see Karn meeting Ajani and also recognizing Elspeth cloak.

Why would Liliana try to kill Ajani? (at least seriously) Her only enemy is her own feeling of guilt currently.
I doubt Ajani would hold a grudge against the gatewatch for not listening to his advice tbh (by now he's probably used to that) especially considering how much it backfired. It wouldn't help their shared goal even a single bit and at least they got some intel even if not much.
And he knows how to handle scared, depressed girls.
Not literally kill each other but in the fact of Ajani being GW and Liliana being B so they won't be buddy buddy right off.

I think that would be a consequence of Liliana being a closed-off person who hides her emotional fragility behind a veneer of sarcasm and contempt, rather than any innate colour identity.
It's my hope that Ajani helps her work through it, Good Will Hunting style.

I too don't see Ajani leaving the gatewatch, but the others didn't simply not listened his advice, they told him "ok" and then did the opposite. There won't be nothing wrong if Ajani gets a little mad with theme and then forgive them, but, in this scenario, I'm hoping he will make some passive aggressive comment about it from time to time.
*Grumble grumble* Kids these days, they never listen.
*Ugin pops his head in from Zendikar* Tell me about it Bro.

Ugin is a different situation. They tried to capture Ulamog instead of killing him, and then Ob Nixilis threw a wrench in that plan, and Kozilek joined the party. They pretty much had to choose between letting Zendikar die or killing the Titans. Which do you think Ajani would have gone with?
In Ajani's case, Ajani warned them that Amonkhet (which they knew was Bolas World) was too dangerous to go into without sufficient allies and a solid attack strategy, and they did it anyway with no real plan in mind (and what makes it even worse is that two of them had experience with Bolas, though Liliana gets a pass since she just wanted to deal with Razaketh).
Do we know what happened to the Weatherlight? Is it still intact or whas it destroyed by the Null Moon blast? I can totally envision a storyline where Rashmi builds an improved planar bridge which combined with project lightning bug technology and some tinkering by Jhoira and Karn could repair / rebuild a Weatherlight-esque ship that can be used to planeshift people.

I’m pretty sure the Weatherligbt was destroyed when the legacy weapon destroyed Yawgmoth but I’m not sure if Time Spiral changes that.
Even if the Weatherlight was destroyed, there's still the ship that Venser was working on building before he got dragged off to Mirrodin/New Phyrexia and died.
I don't really see Creative going this direction though, with as big a focus as we've got on the current planeswalkers. Plane-hopping legendary creatures muddies the water.
They said the same about Planar portals though and that got brought back.
Not really though. They wanted planeswalkers to be special. Hence getting rid of planar portals and ships like the weatherlight. Rashmi/Tezzerets planar bridge only works on inorganic objects. They probably aren't bringing something like the weatherlight back. This way they can do things that bridge the gap like lazotep, which to our knowledge only Bolas knows about, but still maintain thw special status of Planeswalkers.

On the other hand, if New Phyrexia is to ever become a serious threat they need to be able to get off of Mirrodin somehow so sooner or later this technology will have to find it's way into the storyline.

Again not really. Phyrexia got to Mirrodin by piggybacking on Karn. It can easily continue to expand in a similar way. There's also the possibility that, if we really need it to be the specific entities of New Phyrexia then they could just dub the phyrexians non-organic. I mean would that really be a retconn in most cases? (really asking that btdubs, I came in after all the Phyrexia and New Phyrexia hoopla and dont really have access to the material that would answer)
Edit: and that's not considering the massive number of planes Karn had probably infected, possibly including Elspeth's home plane, that we could visit.

True it would not be neccesary for infection from the oil to continue. However, the specific entities that have been established on New Phyrexia are the new Phyrexian cannon and they would not be all that threatening if the threat is contained already by the laws of interplanar physics.
As far as I know Phyrexians are a combination of organic and inorganic material, which is why they harvest and recycle species instead of just annihilating them. Having said that, I don't know if a Phyrexian could "survive" if it sheds it's biological parts and harvests new ones to graft onto itself on an new plane after plane hopping as "anti-organic matter" that way. It would make them a perfect scary villain in a story context, as that would mean they always adapt to the "local" biodiversity in look and feel, yet in a Phyrexia-corrupted style while maintaining their identities as the phyrexian characters they are. Would perfectly allow for wildly different cards for the same character while maintaining in-story logic as for why that is.
