I was 5 weeks behind on the storys, life gets in the way, i finally caught up and finished Renewal last week and I can see it was posted on the first of feb. but I cannot find the next story.
3 days ago during the Dice awards 2 people from wizards interviewed live with IGN (https://twitter.com/IGN/status/834859515396780032) and they mentioned "Weekly" storys i remember hearing the word weekly specifically cause i have not been able to find it.. and i have been looking. help?
did i miss an announcement? are they uploading somewhere else?
come on guys. i crammed 5 storys into 2 weeks. i'm addicted. i need my fix.
Renewal is the last story posted. Weekly stories are on hiatus until amonkhet, in their place they've got weekly official magic story team podcasts coming out.

Indeed. I was surprised to find after the first one that no one here seemed to be talking about them. I haven't listened to them yet. Have you? Is there anything interesting or noteworthy in them?
Edit: Also why no side stories? Modern masters is coming up and lots of people are still miffed about no commander stories. I guess with Amonkhet not coming until April there's plenty of time for some side stuff?

I imagine it's to give the creative team a chance to get ahead on Amonkhet's weekly stories and plotting out for future blocks? I get the impression we're not going to be getting many one-offs anymore.
I've listened to them, they're interesting but there isn't anything earth-shattering if you've paid attention to Creative Panels in the past.
We did learn, Re: Amonkhet, that Bolas will be taking direct action this upcoming block, and that James Wyatt is excited about the races.
Well sense no one really answered the op's question other than confirming their fears. On Feb 1st they said
What's going on with Magic Story
Hey, everyone—this is Blake, your friendly neighborhood Daily Magic Update scribe and content manager for this here website. While Nick is handling the Update for most of this week, I wanted to drop in with this note to let you know what's going on with Magic Story and our creative content in the coming weeks.
You might have noticed that today's story seemed a fitting conclusion to the Aether Revolt story. And that's because it is. What you may not know is that the first Amonkhet story doesn't start until March 29—seven weeks from now. So what gives?
What gives is that we're trying something new. Magic Story has become much like a television or Netflix "season," in that the blocks are, more and more, story arcs start to finish, with fewer stories that don't play into the overall narrative. Much like a television season, there's a definite beginning and end to that set or block's arc. Given that, we're trying to give a little breathing room to these arcs and, between them, switching to different kinds of creative content. But we still want to give all of the Vorthoses out there awesome creative content. Prior to the Aether Revolt story, you saw, admittedly, a less-than-ideal attempt at that. So we're going to try something better.
For the six of the next seven weeks (more on that in a moment), we're debuting the Magic Story Podcast, a podcast that visits with the people responsible for making the worlds we love and visit every time we play Magic. Each week we'll have a new podcast on Wednesdays with me, Blake, as the host. But mostly you'll hear from the actually creative people. Doug Beyer, Mel Li, and James Wyatt are all headliners for the first three weeks. After that, we'll take a one-week break for Modern Masters 2017 Edition previews (the week of February 27) before coming back to three more weeks of podcasts.
And, yes, if you follow me on Twitter, this is what I was asking about a few weeks ago. I really do listen to you wonderful, wonderful people.
I want to stress that this is something we're trying out. If it goes well, and you all enjoy the content, we'll be back with more. If you don't, we'll regroup and go another direction. But I've already recorded the first three of these, and I really do think you'll enjoy a peek behind the curtain of the Magic creative team. As always, please feel free to share feedback on Twitter @blakepr.
I now return you to your normally scheduled Daily Magic Update.
So we should get a Modern Master 2017 story this week, then three more weeks of podcast before the story picks up on Amonket.
Yeah that's all well and good but I doubt I am alone in my sentiment that I would have just preferred more story content. :/

"Hey, we heard you guys are *huge* fans of reading our fictional stories, so here's six weeks of podcasts where you can listen as we just talk about the stories in the abstract instead!"
I don't know what I expected, but... I mean, a few weeks of Amonkhet world-building via stories where we get a feel for the plane before arrival of the GW wouldn't have bothered me at all.
