I was trying to find a reference to what ever R/G god was on theros before Xenagos became a god. Temple of abandon is a temple to something and there is an empty throne so what happened to that god, or was the pantheon just unbalanced until Xenagos?
There was not a Red-Green god, at least as far as we know. Temple of Abandon is referring to the noun definition of Abandon: "complete lack of inhibition or restraint.", which is perfect for the Satyr. It's a hint at what Xenagos was trying to do.
There wasn't really a specific god for Temple of Abandon. Though Kruphix mentions that numerous gods have faded from memory and its been thoerized that the god of love mentioned should have been the RG god.
Considering Daxos and Elspeth were in love, and their story ended as a Greek tragedy, I wouldn't be surprised if a return to Theros doesn't just address Elspeth's fate, but has influences that end up creating the RG god of love. Something tells me Theros may have somewhat of a happy ending.
I believe it was mentioned somewhere that there was a RG god a long time ago until they were killed/disappeared.
Maro and Doug have each commented that there wasn't a RG god during and right before Theros, but if one existed it was a long time ago, long enough for people to have completely forgotten.

I thought Temple of Abandon was a double play on the meaning of the word. It refers to both the original god who deserted them (first meaning of abandon), as well as the new god Xenagos who wants them to revel (second meaning of abandon).

Shame, I was expecting Elesh Norn to invade Theros and Elspeth to wake up in another plane corrupted by the Phyrexians.
