Hey all, this thread is for discussion whatever stories we get over the next month or so. Not all of them are for Commander, so I'm just leaving this as the 'fall interlude' discussion thread.

Four-Color: Saskia the Unyielding
Saskia the Unyielding thrives in brutal combat, calling upon vicious hordes to crush her adversary underfoot. Saskia's strikes always find their mark, cleaving through any foe that stands between her and the focus of her fury. RG Allied Partner (Mythic): Tana, the Bloodsower WB Enemy Partner (Mythic): Ravos, Soultender WB Enemy Partner (Rare): Tymna the Weaver
Do we know they all won't be for Commander? We have 5 weeks until Aether Revolt, one for each of the main commanders for the decks.

“There are no weak Jews. I am descended from those who wrestle angels and kill giants. We were chosen by God. You were chosen by a pathetic little man who can't seem to grow a full mustache"
"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
With all the Kamigawa-favors they have been giving recently, do I dare dream of a Michiko and Kyodai Partner Cards in this product (they did throw in Ludevic and his best creation, but we've known literally nothing about the masterpiece beforehand, while the sisters have an established story behind them).
I don't expect it, really (which is why I said dream)... but one can hope.
I never thought of Ludevic as UR, but I long stopped having any hopes in Magic storyline. Kondo appearing is a nice touch though.
Yeah. You would expect a NECRO-alchemist to be at least partially black....
Very confused on that as well.
In Innistrad, death magic extends to other colours as well. Most skaaberen are mono-Blue, after all, and we have geist mages in Blue and Red (not to mention the standard White spirit magic).
I thought he'd be Green/Blue, since all non-Blue/Black basic decks involving zombies are Green/Blue and it's the general mad biologist colours, but I'm pleasantly surprised.

You win the internet for suggesting Michiko and Kyodai pair. If it happens, I don't know what I will do with myself. Enduring the wait would not be possible.
KYDELE gets a card too. I literally could not be happier.
Given the lore provided in Atraxa's preview article I'm curious to see how the relationships between the Praetors has developed. I'm sure one of the articles will focus on Atraxa but hope the story will develop the Praetors a bit more. Urabrask's development in particular interests me.
So, what do you expect to see there? I admit that Kondo is an amazing nod to us veterans.
When I saw Kondo my inner old-school Vorthos squealed with delight. That Phyrexian angel legend also has the most amazing art. I'm really looking forward to seeing which of these end up getting stories. (I'd love a good Weatherlight Saga throwback...and another peek at the goings-on in New Phyrexia...)

The product page also spoiled the names and mini-bios of what looks like the pure 4 color legend;
(not green)-Breya, Etherium Shaper learned to command powerful works of artifice on the Esper shard of Alara. Her mastery of lightning and expertise with etherium enable her to unlock the full potential of her creations and overwhelm her foes.
(not white) Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder harnesses raw chaotic energy to obliterate his foes, channeling the Maelstrom at Alara's center. He cares little for long-term plans, preferring to unleash bursts of devastation upon anything in his path.
(not blue) Saskia the Unyielding thrives in brutal combat, calling upon vicious hordes to crush her adversary underfoot. Saskia's strikes always find their mark, cleaving through any foe that stands between her and the focus of her fury.
(not black) Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis believe harmony is the key to true power. They share the rewards of their unshakable bond among their supporters, building alliances before unleashing powerful haymaker spells against their enemies.
(not green) Atraxa, Praetors' Voice serves as emissary for four of New Phyrexia's five praetors. The indomitable Atraxa's greatest strength is her power to spread the influence of Phyrexia, enhancing her armies while decimating the opposition.
So looks like Maelstrom wander is returing and getting fleshed out and maybe Kynaios and Tiro are our gay theros kings?

I don't remember him from BFZ and I never read the original Zendikar storyline, but does Bruce Tarl actually wrangle oxen?
He is a flavor text character most renowned for his flowery curses addressed to those beasts. Just look up different versions of Pillarfield Ox and Ondu Greathorn. I was referring to that
So the ranks just got boosted by Kydele (Godsend e-book and Kruphix's Insight story), and Vial Smasher, the Dragon Tarkir version of Yasimin Ankleshank, from here. Not bad.
And seriously....Wizards...if the mythic RW commander is not Feather this time....

...
So looks like Maelstrom wander is returing and getting fleshed out
Eh, probably not. Maelstrom Wanderer is an elemental that basically lives within the Maelstrom, while Yidris sounds like a person who has learned to tap into the Maelstrom (kind of like Nissa and the leylines).

All the face cards were leaked on a blurry image. Yidris is an ogre wizard who seem to grant all your spells cascade when he connects.

Yes.
So very much yes.
We didn't get any closure as to the welfare or standing of the plane or its inhabitants at all.
You can't just leave us hanging like that Wizards! It's mean.
