Since it's popped up a few times in this thread: Ya'll I don't think Midnight Oil is a Phyrexian reference. It's just a saying that coincides really well with an artificer's plane. It really just looks like a very top-down spell.
As for Tezzeret becoming head judge...probably a combination of natural skill, bribery, extortion, theft, murder, and presenting the works of those who were bribed, extorted, stolen from, or murdered as his own.
Hmm...Kaladesh is a block of ETB galore, including stuff like Panharmonicon.
Meanwhile, Torpor Orb denies ETB...And look at the flavor text! I wish Phyrexians would invade, but i think it at least implies Tezerret has power over everything.
AJANI's BACK BABY!
(favorite plainswalker ever, because he straight up challenged Bolas, because why not)
Edit: I figured I may want to show some evidence from the art and flavor text.
1: The Axe. There is Ajani's most well-known weapon, quoting: Ajani, Caller of the Pride, M14 non-black version.
2: From what we can tell, Leonin are non-existent on Kaladesh, meaning it would have to be a Planeswalker; We only know 1 Leonin planeswalker, and the only one we know is Ajani.
3: The cloak: Elspeth's cloak, which Ajani wears after Elspeth dies by Heliod, quoting: Ajani Steadfast, M15 Non-black version
So, Ajani IS coming back? Well, that's absolutely brilliant. I wonder if he's going to be coming back as "Ajani Mentor of Heroes" or if he's going to be getting a whole new card and a new set of abilities to boot.
It's been long enough that I think a new card is due. Especially since they plan to push him as a White/Green guy.
I'm not quite sure how threatening Kambal would work out for most beings on Kaladesh, whether they're natives of the plane or planeswalkers. He's probably given Kambal and Gonti a nice little gift. And I'm not sure if making threats is his style.
Going by AoA and Test of Metal, making threats is most definitely his style. But I think he will simply do whatever it takes, especially if Dr. Jest is there to...motivate him. Please let Dr. Jest still be a thing.

The second story, put in 1st person view of both Rashmi, and Saheeli in different portions.
The image show in Paradoxal Outcome, is Rashmi's invention, which Saheeli realized what it is:
The ring is an inter-dimensional transporter, capable of transporting non-organic material.
In the story, the most they do is transport a vase with a flower across the room, but when they find it, the flower had seemed to have disintegrated, and only a filament was broken in the ring. Saheeli realizes what this is and before the demonstration, Saheeli refuses to make the filament because nobody has one in Giraphur. She understands that the ring can literally tear holes in the plane, and could destroy the plane in its entirety. After coming to her senses, she helps Rashmi and makes the filament, and see the demonstration, and Rashmi does a demonstration for the consuls, only able to do so by Saheeli's favor. (She promised Padeem, Consul of Innovation* a front seat at the artifice duels, which Saheeli fights in.)
Also, It seems that Saheeli has been a planeswalker for a time now, because she knows about the Blind Eternities, and other planes, and she believes that she must protect the plane with her powers as a planeswalker.
Are the phyrexians really gonna be back?
i highly doubt it
Further research is needed, so far I have only read the first part of Episode 3, and both episode 1 & 2.
*Saheeli said that Padeem used to be one of the greatest duelers ever.

Welcome to the party, lol. You make some good observations, which we've noticed too. I agree that Phyrexians likely won't be back this block, but that matter transporter WILL be relevant to them eventually, I'm sure.
Sorry, I completely forgot about the story, and just never read it until around the time before that post. Been kinda busy with my modern deck, got a PPTQ on saturday, and L1 judge test same day. Gotta be ready for that. But yes, at some point I think we can all agree, the transporter will be relevant.

I was just teasing, because you managed to catch-up right away with everyone's conclusions regardless
My theory is, that Tezzeret advanced to Head Judge via Dovin Baan. Because, as a planeswalker, Dovin understands that Tezzeret is not from Kaladesh and therefore the only truly neutral artificier on the entire plane.
Oh my that's absolutely relevant! If I were in Wizard I would do this.
"We need something that can bring back Phyrexia to being an interplanar threat."
"Well Mishra did open things for Phyrexia the first time, right?"
"yes, let's call this expedient 'Mishra2'"
"What if Mishra2 is a character who builds a interplanar portal?"
"So that Tezzeret brings it to Phyrexia?"
"YEAH!"
"Well, let's anagram Mishra... Sharim, Rishma, Rashmi..."
"Rashmi! I like it!"
Well this theory considers Tezzeret being a double agent for Phyrexia... But who knows. Being on the contrary Bolas needs the portal and then for accidents it comes in the hands on JinGitaxias...
Both are India names. From what people have said, Rashmi is an extremely common name in India.

"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
Look, I'm perfectly with theory crafting, but there was bound to be an anagram of Mishra somewhere, for the simple reason that there are a bunch of Indian names that use those letters. In devanagari, those two names are only like three letters long.
So no, it doesn't prove it's not the case, but it's kind of like saying "Oh, there's a character named Alex and a character named Lexa, that must be intentional."
Yeah after all the belly aches over the eldrazi being a non threat I feel like the vibrancy and color they've included in this world is almost a phyrexian buffet. The stark environment change gives the artwork a lot of heavy lifting, if the plane is overrun, in setting the stage. There is decent race overlap (elves, humans, vedalken) for reprints. The interplanetary portal has only ever really been a hot button for them (koth getting angry with venser, mishra). All other antagonists have been able to jump ship because they're planes walking beings. Tezz's obviously involved with both planes. It's an artifact heavy plane, because why not give them the other artifact themed plane too.
I don't think it'll be this block because there is already enough story to be told I think. However, interestingly enough the political/economic/infrastructure instability that follows a regime overthrow sets up for a weak resistance. What better way to curry favor with the phyrexians than gifting them an entire plane. This is giving probably way too much depth to the storyline after seeing how these last couple stories were resolved. (Channel/fireball and lawl I concede, respectively).
Alright tin foil hat is going back on the shelf now.
As for Tezz garnering political heft; he's got friends in high places, Maybe Baan pulled strings for him, Bolas could have had influence here already, tezz is a master artificer, and [plot device]. No I'm not salty about how many open ended strings the story has in the least bit >_>.
Alright, just read the 7th part of the Kaladesh Story.
It's been 2 1/2* years since Elspeth left Mirrodin, 3 1/2* since Tezzeret has been under Nicol Bolas's control**. Ajani has been on Kaladesh for approximately 5-6* months, and Elspeth died approximately 7-8*** months ago.
And Tamyio and Ajani have spoken for awhile.... I didn't know that.
Edit:
Finished the story parts. Forgot to say that while Ajani was on Kamigawa, when he was speaking with an orphan whose village was burned by a group of planeswalkers, Tezzeret was a part of the group who commited the crime, but the orphan said that another village had came and killed the planeswalkers, and Tezzeret died, but Tamiyo had said that a great dragon had came and bargained for his body.
*In the story, it says 6 months ago in parts, to like flashbacks to what had happened, so a little bit of math makes it an aditional 6 months/ 1/2 year.
**Tamiyo had said that Tezzeret being alive was impossible, for he had been dead for over 3 years.
***Ajani spent time on Theros after Elpeth's death, telling her story and telling the lands of her deeds. I never read up on how long, amount of time could be longer/shorter.
