Most Alara-themed cards in Magic Origins are mostly Bant, with one random Jund reprint tossed in probably for the fun of it. Then the reason I suddenly want to ask is because only a few planeswalkers seem to be aware of the Conflux: Ajani, who then relays the message to Elspeth, and Sarkhan who knows second-hand from Bolas (although some of these info come from pre-Tarkir stories). For Ajani's case, he was even born in Naya, planeswalked to Jund meeting the more experienced Sarkhan (it's clear that Sarkhan is Ajani's senior when it comes to planeswalking, given that Sarkhan is not from Jund). Some time after the Conflux is concluded, Sarkhan was ordered to go to Zendikar and met Chandra and Jace, which implies that Jace and Chandra were already adults (or young adults) when Conflux happened, which means Gideon, who doesn't seem to be that much older than either of them, should be about young adult also at the time of Conflux. But he first planeswalked to Bant sometime in his... late teens, maybe?, and then spent some time growing up in Bant.
I guessed Gideon left before the Conflux happened (we been told Bant and the other shard where still separated during his origins story) and doesn't know Alara was reborn. Also there is a Grixis card in Origins as well with Fleshbag Marauder.

Wow, so Gideon spent quite a few long years as a vagabond before meeting the Eldrazi? Wonders why he didn't consider Bant home, and also wonders why he never thought about going back to Theros, but that's for another thread.
As a side note, it's pretty funny how Elspeth, the so-called Knight Errant, is the one who ends up staying for a long time in Bant. Which brings me a slightly related question: Do Gideon and Elspeth live in Bant at around the time frame (just that they somehow never meet each other)? Or has Gideon started wandering around before Elspeth arrived at Bant?
How aware is Gideon of the Conflux of Alara?

So, thoughts?

All we know about his time on Bant is that it's the first place he planeswalked and he was there for a while.
