He's not missing fingers. The gauntlets are gloves, to hide his hands (like the cloak does his head), since his race isn't native to Kaladesh.
The cloak could hardly cover his face and the legs though
It's a hooded cloak; he mentions keeping it pulled up over his head so his face is hidden in it. The gauntlets are also described to go up past his elbows.
His legs and tail would probably be hidden by the cloak if it is long enough, and boots and pants would hide the rest of the furriness, but probably would be uncomfortable as hell. It would be enough to not draw attention to his alieness when he's out and about Kaladesh.

Oh, the card I mentioned from my previous post is this one: Swordwise Centaur, talks about Elspeth's training on Theros.
It was made clear back then that "the Champion" that the Theriad talks about is not necessarily Elspeth.
Anyway, on topic:
I was delighted to see the callbacks to Agents of Artifice. Also, it seems that the soratami society is far from the power hungry "pale aristo-bastards" as Toshi Umezawa put it some 1000 years ago. An adopted nezumi living among soratami family would be unthinkable back then.

Question, though, I remembered a green card in Theros has a flavor text which indicates that Elspeth was trained with the Setessan centaurs, something along the line of, "She'd later become the hero of the sun." Perhaps Bant wasn't the first plane Elspeth walked to?
It's established that Theros was the first plane she planeswalked to. She was scared off by Heliod and Purphoros fighting, but grabbed the latter's sword
It's nice to a the kids help Ajani come to terms with Elspeths death. It was a touching scene. A bit unfortunate how they left out Ajani matting Mrs. Pashiri in the first place. Why does he call her grandmother? Not that I dislike it or anything in just wondering. Also surprised that others aren't *****ing about it. I guess that speaks to the overall quality of the story otherwise.
Tough the story felt messy with the telling of its story i did like how was conenct so many stories together(too mutch coincidences but oh well) and the part i liked the most is Ajani, a big Catman, telling a story to child Rat Race. Kinda ncie that Tamiyo adopted a nezumi child. I really miss Kamigawa and they keep teasing us but they kept saying that the setting wasn't popular(duhh the way it was presented with parasitic mechanics, a ***** ton of *****ty cards, exagerated sue of the mythology, wich i personally liekd alot but alot of people din't)

I miss Kamigawa as well, and its mechanics could easily made broken with reduced mana cost, but at the time it was responsible for retuning the standard back to normal after Mirrodin. While not powerful, spirit craft and arcane spells remain two of my favorite mechanics, the former I still use in my Karador, Ghost Chieftain deck.
Wow. That was quite the story. Messy in some ways, very meandering, but it cleared up quite a bit. And gave us an idea of what Kamigawa is like now. I really hope we go back there someday, the more I hear about it the more I want to see it.
I think the story's disparate parts DID ultimately make sense and bring everything around again. There was a lot of backstory to explain why Ajani was on Kaladesh, and I'm curious to see what happens when he learns Jace is partially responsible for Nashi's loss.
How has nobody addressed the best part of today's story yet? And by that, I mean Shadowblayde. She's a quirky, female version of every unnecessarily edgy comic book character from the '80s, complete with ridiculous name and an excessive number of pouches on her outfit. If she doesn't have a card in Aether Revolt, I will be extremely disappointed.

More like a 90s comic book character, but yes she was fun. Hope she gets a card.

They've said before that the website stories are written after the cards are already made, so either she already had a card or she's an invention of the authors.
Probably it's the second one, but not necessarily so.
But yeah, Shadowblayde was fun.

“Tell me who you walk with, and I'll tell you who you are.” Esmeralda Santiago Art is life itself.
I like the parts where the rat does not like meat, hell I think the Tamiyo Family were all vegetarians. But they served meat to their carnivore guest.and the rare sight of cooked meat really disgusted the rat child because it reminds him of his burning mother. So are kamigawans vegetarians? Because Japan?

MtG is where you can hate white players or black players, and still not be racist.
The Tamyio family are Moonfolk which are ~rabbits so makes scenes they are vegetarians.

A lot to read, but the sheer amount of tidbits and information in this one story alone is fantastic. So we know Tamiyo's husband is named Genku, she has an adopted child, she even knows Narset-
About the last one; Has there been any mention about how much time passed between Narset igniting her spark and her meeting Sarkhan? Of course, even if I take into account that she has yet to leave Tarkir due to her curiosity, there's still the possibility that it's Tamiyo who bumped into her, but that would have to happen during that very brief time piece of Narset-ascending and Narset-talking-to-Sarkhan.
I wonder how ballistic Ajani would be if ever he visit Tarkir he already has ONE very unpleasant dragon in his rogues gallery, after all, and seeing the dragonlords being no less despotic than the Theros gods probably would make him puke
Now I'm waiting for Liliana to chime in and tell Chandra: "You know dear, I never knew you could attract kittens from across the multiverse..."

it will likely get covered in the next story.
I think Ajani may just be my new favorite walker. This story was well put together imo and helped to shed light on what happened to the big cat after Elspeth fell.

Two of my favorite planes - Theros and Kamigawa - essentially appearing in the same story! And a Jenrik name-drop. Too bad I end up dead after this one in SOI timelines. Yep.
Anyway, I was hoping Elspeth's story would be told to Tamiyo and become one of her scrolls. "Champion of the Sun"
This story, while at times confusing, was very enjoyable.
I love Theros and Elspeth and my heart breaks anew for the latter, I was grateful to watch Ajani's emotional recovery.
I also wanted to cradle that nezumi-child in lap. It was a stark reminder that planeswalkers- even benevolent ones- have impacts far and beyond an ordinary Mage. While Tezzeret is clearly NOT a benevolent planeswalker, it shows that indeed planeswalker footprints are rather large.
Tezzeret has much to pay for...

Can we be so sure? Isn't next week quicksmithmania where Tezz will lay the smackdown on those rasclly rebels? I think the story will be a bit occupied.
Either that or they lock him up in magical chains and start capturing villainous planeswalkers and imprisoning them on Ravnica in their base of operations(a la The Raft in Avengers). Mainly because Ajani doesn't want to kill anybody anymore - I see this as potential "plot-armour" to the ongoing story.
Imprisonment is indeed a way to remove characters temporarily without killing them, and everyone except Liliana (or to a certain degree, Jace and Chandra) would probably vote for keeping villains alive. It's cliche, but reasonable within the characters of Gatewatch. Now, if the team was made of Garruk, Liliana, Sorin, Kiora, and Sarkhan... (i.e., the team of questionable morality)
Does the Story Circle (or Storied Circle) constitute another group of PW?
If so it could kind of be like Marvel's splinter Avenger groups with the Gatewatch emphasizing action and the Story Circle emphasizing a more cautious approach
