I wonder if we will see anything during SDCC. Hoping we do, but not positive we will.
No we definitely will. SDCC is Magics biggest non-PT show of each year. they always talk about coming products with a pretty heavy focus on the fall set. Hell last year or was all about BFZ with no other products(well except for the art book). We should even be able to look forward to a preview card or two.

Didn't realize it was that big. I don't know how closely I follow Magic stuff sometimes, must not have realized it was that big. Woo, looking forward to that then.

Apologies. Having gotten my brain straightened out I'm probably thinking of PAX Prime. However I'm still sure that well be getting some stuff. As well as more black on black walkers.
I know Kaladesh is Chandra's homeplane, but after the most recent article... could Kaladesh be entirely a "fresh-start" (sort of breaks the "we'll carry the story continuously from Origins", but it has already been a whole year anyway).
Nothing from EMN (yet) indicates Chandra would suddenly think of re-visiting Kaladesh... and the only other person who has a clue of Kaladesh is now Jace... who's exhausted to oblivion and back (plus imagine the reactions of some people if we had him story-wise 3 blocks in a row). Gideon, Nissa, Liliana, Nahiri have absolutely no reason to visit Kaladesh, Tamiyo just got traumatized by Emrakul and Sorin's doing a Konda. I know I ruled out Chandra, but with some aftermath stories left, the most likely route at the moment is Chandra getting sentimental over something (guess an Innistrad child who lost his/her parents) and decides to head back... or we have no link at all and it's a completely "fresh-start" instead.

Not to mention the fact that he's probably busy shacking up with Liliana...

So, Liliana is going to want help with the Chain Veil. Given the only 'artifact' plane any of them know about now is Kaladesh, I think that'll be the hook.

Chandra's getting one of the two "Planeswalker Decks" in Kaladesh, and those are reserved for the major players of the set/block. She's going to be on the plane.
Also, do we actually know that the other 'walkers don't remember their stay in Casa de Jace? It's not really addressed, as everyone's a bit busy with more pressing matters when they get pulled out. So it's entirely possible that Chandra remembers that scene, and either decides she wants to go back herself, or brings up the plane to her companions, and Liliana perks up at the mention of a plane of artificers and talks Chandra into taking a trip there with her. Even if Chandra doesn't remember, it's possible that Jace brings it up himself - he's not exactly the best at tact.
Any of those probably should be something that would happen in a wrap-up story for EMN a la Zendikar Resurgent, but it's possible the Gatewatch head to Ravnica to recuperate or something, and the conversation/decision happens in an "in-between"/set-up story.
(I'm still guessing that it's going to be Chandra, Lili, and maybe Nissa as the Gatewatch reps in the Kaladesh story: Jace needs to actually do Guildpact things, and Gideon will either stay with him to help put out the fires caused by Jace not doing his job for however many weeks, return to Zendikar to keep helping with recovery efforts - which is obviously also what Nissa would be doing if she didn't go to Kaladesh - or possibly do as Chandra does and head back to his own home plane, and we'll pick up with him in Return to Theros in a year or so.)

I only really see Chandra and Lili as making real sense to go to Kaladesh. And then, just maybe, Gideon, because he won't trust Lili enough to leave her alone with Chandra. If the plot is around the Chain Veil, I expect Nissa to want nothing to do with it and to go back to Zendikar and continue overseeing its regrowth. Jace *has* to skip a block because Ravnica, otherwise they're making a complete mockery of him being the Living Guildpact at all.
There's actually good scope there for the plot of Rav 3.0 as the guilds, and Niv in particular, try to work out why the Guildpact keeps going noticeably AWOL, and how they can best make use of that. But first, post-Kaladesh, I think Theros 2.0 must be on the cards - Gideon's encounter with Erebos sets up a nice little Gatewatch side-tale to be told while we also get the resolution of Elspeth and Ajani's current travails.
It's interesting. If Return to Theros deals with both Elspeth and Gideon, that means we are going to see an Abzan trio with Ajani in the mix. That's a lot of white planeswalkers, which is quite appropriate for the plane with a white soul.

Story today was good. Better than it has been in a long while. Liliana was fun, Nissa did not make me cringe for once while Chandra... well was Chandra. Baan was interesting but I hope he doesnt get a card as he would fight for space with tezzeret.
I thought the story was fine, but holy cow is this plane magnificent. The pics on the plane page are breathtakingly awesome. A really nice departure from the more ragged, harsh worlds of the last few years.
Worldbuilding: It appears that we have elves and vedalken, and that all nonhuman races are somewhat mutated by the aether. It also sounded, at least to me, that the consulate isn't all that tyrannical or strict, at least at first glance. What could that mean?
Whoa! Head rush! I enjoyed the story overall but what got me excited the most were the new planeswalker page and kaledesh page! Bet elves are blue green.

They seem to be a mix of Azorius and Izzet as a ruling entity. Excited for these new types of Elves.
Worldbuilding: Dovin's profile mentions gremlins. Could we see Gremlins replace Goblins for this block?
Interesting fact: All of magic's Gremlins so far have been phyerxian. Is that a clue?
I hope not, especially after dealing with the Eldrazi I think they want some room to make something new. This plane is gorgeous, I'm going to want everything in foil.

Based on the story I assume Liliana went to Kaladesh with Chandra.
Well, that and what happened to Chandra 12 years ago.
One guess how this is going down.
