Not really a big call since I quoted from a post I made on the imge thread like 10 minutes ago after looking at the spoiled images
Just wanted to rewrite it in the correct thread.
EDIT: another image posted there shows Chandra leading the revolt.
Now I'm really wondering why the rest of the gatewatch seems to be on the other side.
Oh, okay
I realized that zhe Kaladesh plane page has been updated as well. We now know a couple of more potential legendaries:
DEPALA, DERBY CROW PILOT
A young dwarf renowned for her talent at the controls, Depala is a pilot with a reputation for pushing the limits. She belongs to the Derby Crows aeronaut society and works with its inventors to continually upgrade her ships, always vying to stay ahead of the competition
.
Known.
PADEEM, CONSUL OF INNOVATION
In her youth, Padeem was a daring artificer-duelist. She earned acclaim with her invention of self-repairing armor, which she parlayed into a career in armorcraft. Now in her fifties, the vedalken sits as the Consul of Innovation and shepherds fledgling inventors through the process of development, choosing which ventures the Consulate will fund and pursue.
Known from Rashmi's story. Surprised that it is actually a female, did not notice it in the story...
RASHMI, STUDENT OF THE INFINITE
An incredibly gifted aether-seer, Rashmi's understanding of the interconnectivity of Great Conduit has given her a reputation as something of a mystical figure. She conducts her aetherological research in a massive roving Inquirium, where she strives to unlock the secrets of the Blind Eternities surrounding Kaladesh.
Confirming what we speculated about.
GONTI, LORD OF LUXURY
The aetherborn Gonti is Ghirapur's most infamous crime lord. They preside over the city's only permanent night market, where renegades flock to obtain illicit goods and siphoned aether. Gonti entertains visitors and esteemed guests with their state-of-the-art airships, animal construct menagerie, and vast private collection of unconventional inventions.
Yeah, move along.
OVIYA PASHIRI
Oviya believes beauty should be at the heart of every invention. An acclaimed lifecrafter, she spent many years mentoring young artificers. But when she lost her wife, she took to working on her own designs in secret. She hired smugglers, including the Nalaars, to supply her with aether for her ingenious creations.
Apparently a lesbian character, and quite a possible the green part of the Revolt.
PIA NALAAR
Pia is a notorious Renegade and Planeswalker Chandra Nalaar's mother. Both mother and daughter believed the other to be dead, killed at the hands of Consulate forces long ago. After losing her husband and daughter, Pia went from optimistic young inventor to impassioned revolutionary, vowing to challenge the Consulate and steer it away from tyranny and oppression.
Expectable turn of events.
KAMBAL, CONSUL OF ALLOCATION
As Consul of Allocation, Kambal supervises the distribution of aether, but he has brought corruption to his post. He manipulates his connections in the black market, strikes deals with aether siphoners, and has even bargained with the aetherborn crime lord, Gonti. Kambal will exert whatever power necessary to maintain his domain and his fortune.
The most interesting, IMO. The first real proof of the Consulate being not just shiny and perfect, and the rebels might be right.

"After losing her husband and a daughter" ... "And a daughter"... "a daughter" ... A
hints that Chandra actually has siblings, maybe canonizing her Purifying flame back story!
could have been
After losing her husband and daughter
After losing her husband and her daughter
both of which seems more natural
Also hoping for some hot Ginger Nalaard Brothers, preferably shirtless with abs
Is nobody going to mention that fact that Chandra has historically been shown wearing a chain mail hauberk underneath her cuirass, yet in in the picture of her leading the revolt, she is wearing scale mail? WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS, WIZARDS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I am so so so happy we will be seeing Ajani again. He is my favorite walker and if he gets a card he will most likely be Naya colors something I've wanted to see for a long time now! (Although I don't have a Naya deck lol).

She's also wearing pants.
It's the talk of the town.
Town Gossipmonger just was telling me this, along with the tea that Jace has at least 19 cloaks.

"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
Maro has said that going forward, Ajani's default color identity will be green-white.
Anways, are we sure that the art is for Kaladesh or Aether Revolt? I think it would be more appropriate if it was for Amonkhet. Chandra stays behind on Kaladesh to spend some quality time with Mom, while the rest of the Gatewatch tracks down one of Bolas's old enemies to help them fight the old dragon.

Yes but it ends up being the case with Tamiyo in SoI, since it now looks like we are getting six walker cards in this block.

We're more than six months out from Amonkhet. I think someone just uploaded Kaladesh art early by mistake.

He might have a point. Upon closer inspection, there is almost no metal or filigree anywhere, and no Kaladesh typical colors, instead the gold-yellow-gray pallette of the only Amonkhet image is present. The top of the wall is lined by stone ornaments, again atypical of what we have seen in Kaladesh architecture. There seems to be a hunk of metal on the right, but looking at it closely, I think it is actually Ajani's axe.
Summarized...yes, this might actually be an art from Amonkhet.

I'm pretty sure it's the Ovalchase track or an arena of some sort.
Also, the copyright is 2016. Unless they meant to unveil more art from a 2017 set this year, that's wrong.

I just died a little inside, then remembered I'm a dad and was resurrected stronger than ever with your pun.
I love this twist, and love that even with this leak, it leaves us more questions than answers!
*bows* It's my pleasure, good sir.
I have a good feeling about this block, though, to be fair, I had a good feeling about SoI block. Even if everything else turns out awful, it will have been worth it just for this art.
Damn, Pia only got more stunning with age.

Arena - well, look at Ovalchase Daredevil. Colors and banners. The arena Saheeli is dueling in Time for Innovation is simpler, but still colorful.
Everything about Kaladesh has been absolutely gorgeous.
I just wished it had a bit more South Asia thrown in. Apparently they considered monkeys instead of Gremlins, but thought it could be racist (it's not, Monkeys will straight up break your stuff in India). I'm just imagining the Aether Bandar now
Not really surprised that Chandra might be out of the picture for the next block. Hasn't seen her mother in 12 years, she's gonna need at least a few months off. Also, with this "aether revolt", what happens if this "revolt" is successful? There has to be a new government to run the show if the old order is overthrown. Pia may be the leader of the revolt, but Chandra is clearly taking some kind of commanding role, so we may also have a Jace-like situation where she acquires new responsibility tying her down to her home plane.
Is it bad that the only thing moves me in all of these new pictures was Ajani? I cannot deny my love for the fluffy walker. :3
That said, if Amonkhet is Egyptian theme, and Egyptians are known for their love for cats, Ajani might win a spot in their heart. Hell, Ajani would surpass Bolas and rule over Amonkhet as their kitty god!
I've only been around since RTR, so I don't know any details about the Scars of Mirrodin block and have to ask: Was there any mention of Tezzeret taking precautions against Phyrexian infection when he was there? Or is it very likely he's spreading New Phyrexia already? He has artifical body parts after all...

I have a resources thread just for this! In Dark Discoveries he gets an innoculation against the Phyrexian Oil.

Amonkhet likely has a tricolor in Bolas, so it could be fine if the average between the two still works out to ten mono/bicolored cards and one tri.
