Hey all, I also hang out at a website called Comic Book Resources. And over there we have threads devoted to the appreciation of character or groups of characters like Spider-man, Jean Grey, or the Inhumans. Basically they post images of them and discuss the characters that they love. I am interested in creating a thread for Vronos in particular. Is there already threads like this somewhere on the forums? And if not, would this be the right place to post it?
Also I understand this could lead to discussions and flaming about certain characters with hatebases (like a certain telepath). But I want to be clear that I want to celebrate what we love about the characters and not why they are bad characters.
Ajani! I love that loyal fluffy cat, and his ability is one I really appreciate: drawing strength out of others. I wish to see more of him, perhaps in Naya color
Just to be clear, this isn't the thread for individual discussion. I was just checking to make sure this is the right thread for the topic.
Of course Vronos probably isnt the best choice, but I will get to him later. I will start with some threads for the Origins 5 and a few other popular and relevant characters like Kiora and Ob Nixilis.
The point of these threads is to generate interest and interactivity for the storyline forums. I thought the best way is to get people talking about characters they enjoy, without negativity about why a character sucks.
I will shortly post some individual threads for some of the origins 5 soon. If anyone else wants to contribute or make their own, feel free.
Hyozan Reckoners. Reading about them for the first time, over ten years ago, and then revisiting them here lately, its always been a fun ride. Whether its Toshi dealing with Hidetsugu, Boss Uramon, or Hidetsugu rampaging through Minamo. The discord that followed in their wake was highly enjoyable. The only other characters that come close to being as fun to run with would be Tezzeret and Liliana.
In terms of sheer plot - I enjoyed Sarkhan's quest to bring back the dragons.
It's a cool idea and all but Vronos? Of all people?
Also: Ajani will never be RGW because he's not Red any more.
I mean, he's back on a vengeance tour, so I'd love to see a Nayan Ajani. But outside of a multicolor block, we won't be seeing any tri-color walkers.
I'm going to totally back this as well. Seeing my favourite walker in his full colors would be amazing. It would be great to see creative delve into his character more and develop him in a way that shows he is still red without that redness simply being rage.

Kemba. Like a lot of legends in SoM, she didn't get any screen time. I would have thought there would have been at least one story or mention of her during the entire block, seeing as how her people were divided and there was pretty much a civil war. Nope. All she has for a backstory is a small paragraph. Formerly a skyhunter, saved a lot of people, became kha due to popular vote, didn't really want the job but will take over until Raksha returns. You had to guess how her ability made sense flavor-wise. Real talk, she felt like a throw-in legend. What I do know is that a lot of people were offended by the art. That made for some hilarious reading for sure.
I'm really hoping she's alive (read: not dead or compleated). There's no reason to off everyone in the resistance and it's clear they wanted them around in some capacity for possible creative purposes. Her ability is unique and they haven't printed a "equipment matters" legend since then (Nahiri doesn't count and actually makes for a poor equipment EDH general). They could easily improve upon the ability (and probably ask Todd Lockwood to cover her up). The card feels very RPG-esque when you start picking up more equipment than someone can reasonably hold which made her fun.

Also, cats are great.
